  1. Shocked at Bohemian Rhapsody being so low! Genuinely one of my favourite films this year - so uplifting and a great soundtrack. Disappointed (or should that perhaps be 'relieved') that I missed Venom.
  2. I fell asleep twice during Oceans 8...and still knew exactly what was going on. Dull dull dull.
  3. Unsane was the only one of those that even slightly peaked my interest last year...and I still didn't see it! Looking forward to seeing your top 10 :D
  4. Beauty and the Beast here! :D
  5. Wish I could stay up and watch but have to get up for work at 6am :( Unpopular opinion I know, but I didn't love A Star is Born! I think Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga deserve their awards for acting but hope the film doesn't win best picture. Bo Rhap for the win!
  6. Hated it, hated it, hated it! Such a waste of money...though did make me want to visit Singapore  I think you'll enjoy Aquaman - though I felt it was a bit long; could have lost a side plot to cut it down...

  10. Saw this today and was so disappointed. The opening was good and I was immediately hooked, but then the pace just slowed as they got the crew together - so much so that I actually fell asleep (in my defence, my cinema has leather reclining seats and I didn't sleep well last night!) and when I woke up, they were still planning the heist! I just didn't find any of the characters particularly likeable...in fact other than Debbie and Nine Ball, I don't think I could tell you the other characters' names. Such a shame because I think this had the potential to be really good but I just found it so dull. :(
  11. I really don't think this deserves the negative press this is getting right now. Don't get me wrong, it's certainly not without its flaws and feels waaays too long, but overall I think it's a great addition to the Star Wars universe. Definitely not as good as Rogue One, but at this point, I'm loving the side stories way more than the new 'episodes'.

Saw this last night and think I agree with all this, Jonjo. I think with the first film, the shock factor had me in stitches, but I didn't find this one as funny - guess we're just used to Deadpool's ways now! Funniest sequence in the film was X-Force's skydive, which had me crying with laughter, as did the end credits scenes. In terms of superhero films this year, I'm thinking Infinity War, then Deadpool 2 and then Black Panther.

  19. In a word: wow. I'm still trying to process it all. Think I need to break it down and do a full on review of it, but will wait until after I've seen it again on Saturday before I do so

  23. New trailer: jPEYpryMp2s I will definitely see this, but Star Wars have got to work hard to win me back round after The Last Jedi. The thing that worries me a bit is that the storyline seems a little bit simple, but what do I know? Perhaps they're saving some real big twists for the film.

Just got back from seeing this. Such a great film - I feel like everyone should see it, regardless of their sexuality. When we left the cinema, I said to my friend that I wish a film like it had been out 13 years ago when I was planning to come out. For anyone out there who is struggling with their sexuality, this is the film to see. Genuinely the only film I've been to where people were clapping and cheering at a main point towards the end. So uplifting.
