How far is Crazy Stupid Love from platinum? It was already at 524,000 units in 2020, and that was four years ago. Surely not many more years to go? Hopefully Cheryl does a medley of her hits on the tour to give her catalogue a boost too.

I was checking out the best selling albums list for 2010 and was pleasantly surprised to see Messy Little Raindrops all the way at number 21 with over 421,000 copies sold. Considering it was certified platinum in August 2011 I had assumed it must've sold around 200,000 copies in 2010, so now I am wondering two things: a) why did it not get certified when it passed the 300,000 sales threshold (were the certifications not automatic back then?) and b) why did its sales fall off so quickly after 2010, considering it's only at 491,000 sales as of now despite having had such a strong first 3 months (and it's not even like it had a frontloaded run carried just by a big first week). Can someone help?

I'm thinking 4,500 units from streaming. Disco's streaming was up by a factor of 2.67 from the Monday midweek to the Friday official figure, so it makes sense to think Tension will get 4,500. I was expecting 5,000 initially too, so glad to see it was not too far off.

Disco had 37,500.

Disco got 3,040 streaming units, whilst Step Back In Time and Golden got 1,225 and 1,870 units respectively.

I am expecting 60,000 units this week, though it could go down to 55,000.

It's actually ahead of Padam at the same point, since Padam had only 1.3K videos by the end of week 1.

No matter what happens, Kylie is going to get her first top 20 hit as a songwriter since 2018. I think that's an achievement in its own right considering the SAW people thought she didn't make a good writer.

Girls Aloud would've gone out with a number one had they released On The Metro.

I think it might end up having a 15-40-42-22-34-43-48-50-52-95-100-97-OUT kind of run, which in my opinion would still be amazing for a Kylie single in 2023 to have. A top 20 peak with a silver/gold certification and 100 million streams on Spotify by the end of the era sounds fantastic to me.

I don't think any of these count as country, they're all pretty much pop songs with an acoustic guitar thrown in.

Padam debuted with around 15,000 units first week, so if Tension debuts with around the same amount, and then sells another 2,500 CDs which count for 2 units each, then it's going to debut with 20,000 units. Last week the number 10 song moved 20,000 units.

Hot Hits just updated, no sign of Tension there, but Padam rose a spot so that's something.

Just heard tension on utube. Sounds absolutely incredible. Very impressed. A real progression compared to disco.

I'm probably the only one who thinks this, but Tension reminds me the most of Right Here, Right Now (the Giorgio Moroder collaboration from 2015).

Very annoying, I was hoping Kylie would get multiple weeks at number one with Tension. Disco did 15,000 in its second week, and in a week without heavy competition that should've been enough for the top spot now.

How do we know Padam has sold 50,000 units in Australia if it has only been certified for 35,000 sales?
