Predict Midnights and The Car total sales this week?
Around 110,000 for Taylor and 80,000 for the Arctic Monkeys. Huge numbers for both acts this late into their respective careers.

Surprising UK chart performances
Seeing Can't Get You Out of My Head sell nearly 100,000 even in its fourth week was really impressive to me. It was obviously huge but I didn't realise how consistently high its sales were.

Love Story TV should be really close, I expect all 3 songs you mentioned to get to silver before the year ends.

Kylie ● UK Chart Runs & Sales
I love Get Outta My Way, Les Sex, Live A Little, Wow, All I See, Love At First Sight, Fever, Give It To Me, Spinning Around, On A Night Like This, Cowboy Style, Confide In Me, and I Should Be So Lucky, and that's just the top of it. I really wish Kylie's team would work to increase public remembrance of her music. Too much of their focus is on putting out compilation albums every other year, and while that is a steadier source of revenue, improving her streaming would pay off more in the long run.

Folklore is now officially certified platinum by the BPI! It is Taylor's seventh album to reach this milestone.

Kylie ● UK Chart Runs & Sales
Hi everyone. I'm a very new Kylie fan, having only discovered her in December, but she has since become one of my favourite artists, and she is my most played artist on Spotify. I suppose I'm not the target demographic for her music (I wasn't even born until like 7 months after Body Language was released). I'm so happy to find a community of her fans here  I find this very interesting. Going through her Spotify page, it is disappointing to see how low Kylie's streams are. Can't Get You Out of My Head has a solid 263M streams, & earns a very respectable ~225,000 streams on a daily basis on Spotify, and it has improved significantly in recent years, but the rest of her tracks don't fare nearly as well. Her second most streamed non-Christmas song is In Your Eyes with slightly over 46M, and earns around ~50,000 streams daily. The funny thing is that Head will probably get to 500M streams before any other Kylie song even gets to 100M. Why are her streams so disappointing? It's very possible for her to do well there, as evidenced by Head's strong success. My guess is bad playlisting. Honestly if she could manage to release a biopic that does well, her streaming could explode. Her songs sound surprisingly current compared to a lot of her contemporaries', so the material is there. Only the push is lacking.

UK Singles + Albums Sales
According to the OCC, Love Story had sold over 1,500,000 units by 19 November 2021, while according to Music Week it was at 1,338,000 units as of 19 February 2021. That means it's gaining at a rate of 4,928 units per week. Based on that, it'll take Love Story 55 more weeks till it goes 3x platinum. That means Love Story will probably go 3x platinum the week of its 14th release anniversary in the UK. We don't have that much information on Blank Space, but it was ranked as Taylor's fourth best selling song in the UK by the OCC the week Red TV came out, just behind I Knew You Were Trouble, which we know had sold around 1,450,000 units in the UK by then, and based on that one can assume Blank Space was over 1,400,000 units as of that week. Therefore, realistically speaking Blank Space should hit 3x platinum some time later this year, maybe around October. It also aligns with the fact that it's almost tripling Love Story's daily streams on Spotify and sporadically re-enters UK Spotify daily chart, so it hitting 3x platinum before Love Story makes sense. Bonus prediction: Shake It Off was at 1,970,000 units as of 19 February 2021, and 2,200,000 units by 19 November 2021. Based on that, it should hit 4x platinum in October too. That means by its 8th anniversary, 1989 will be 5x platinum, with a 4x platinum song, 2 3x platinum songs, 5 platinum songs, and maybe 10 silver songs. Massive! As for Lover non-singles, it makes absolute sense for I Forgot That You Existed to go silver next, followed by The Archer, followed by Paper Rings. Lover (song) should also go platinum this year, and Delicate and maybe even ...Ready For It? & Willow will follow suit.

If these are eligible certifications, then I think you're wrong. If they're current certifications, it's still incorrect. Current certification (eligible certification written in brackets): Diamond: Fearless (11x Platinum) 9x Platinum 1989 (11x Platinum) 7x Platinum Taylor Swift (8x Platinum) Red (8x Platinum) 6x Platinum: Speak Now (7x Platinum) 3x Platinum: Reputation (5x Platinum) 2x Platinum: Lover (3x Platinum) Platinum: Folklore (3x Platinum) Uncertified: Evermore (Platinum) Fearless TV (Platinum) Red TV (Platinum)

Update to this: 1- Lover went platinum on 30 July 2021, as I predicted 2- Folklore will now go platinum in February 2022 (2 months faster than initially predicted) 3- Speak Now will go platinum in February 2022, 2 years (!) faster than initially predicted 4- 1989 will now go 5x platinum in late 2022 (1 year faster than initially predicted) 5- Evermore will go platinum in mid-2023 (1 year faster than initially predicted) 6- Reputation will go 2x platinum in mid-2024 (1 year faster than initially predicted) 7- Red will go 3x platinum in early 2025 (on par with the initial prediction) 8- Folklore will go 2x platinum in mid-2025 (1.5 years faster than predicted) 9- Lover will go 2x platinum in mid-2025 (0.75 years faster than initially predicted) 10- 1989 will go 6x platinum in early 2027 (on par with the initial prediction) Very pleasantly surprised by the surge in catalogue sales Taylor saw over the past 6 months. It seems like for the entire months of September, October, and November Taylor's back catalogue was reaching new highs in terms of consumption via streaming. Speak Now in particular had a massive revival.

Updated UK Sales (as of 26 November 2021): Songs: Enchanted: 119,267 (should be around ~150,000 units sold by now) Albums: Red TV: 84,073 (115,400 as of now) Folklore: 277,147 (289,000 as of now) 1989: 1,416,773 (1,427,000 as of now) Evermore: 165,663 (176,000 as of now) Lover: 323,982 (331,000 as of now) Fearless TV: 64,445 (70,400 as of now) Reputation: 482,285 (487,000 as of now) Red (2012): 797,485 (801,000 as of now) Speak Now: 293,001 (297,000 as now) I also have estimates for her first two albums: Debut: 187,000 Fearless: 667,000 By the end of this month, both Folklore and Speak Now should hit platinum certification in the UK. Enchanted will probably also hit silver certification before summer, very impressive for an album track from 2010. It would've debuted at no. 76 on the Official Singles Chart the week Red TV came out had it not been for the 3 track rule.

At its current rate, platinum is a lock by the end of February. It'll take a while, but I can see Evermore getting to platinum too eventually, probably by its third anniversary. Would be interesting to see if Red (Taylor's Version) can get to platinum in less time than Evermore, but it's hard to safely declare anything before the impact of the holiday seasons on sales goes away.

UK Singles + Albums Sales
I did estimations for her future album certifications this decade based on the gains her catalogue made between August 2019 & April 2021 (between November 2014 & August 2019 for Speak Now!) and according to them: 1- Lover will go platinum in the next two weeks 2- Folklore will go platinum in April 2022 3- 1989 will go 5x platinum in late 2023 4- Speak Now will go platinum in early 2024 5- Evermore will go platinum in mid-2024 6- Red will go 3x platinum in early 2025 7- Reputation will go 2x platinum in mid-2025 8- Lover will go 2x platinum in early 2026 9- Folklore will go 2x platinum in late 2026 10- 1989 will go 6x platinum in early 2027 I took into the account any drops that may occur as the re-recordings begin to cannibalize the original albums' sales, but not any market changes. With pure sales for catalog albums rising, and Taylor being a great catalog seller, it is possible that these albums reach new milestones earlier than I predicted.

folklore • 8th album
Based on how much this is selling weekly, I think it'll go platinum in April 2022. If it remains consistent (which it should, since her earlier albums all stabilized in sales after about 1.5 years of availability), it'll probably go multi platinum in February 2026, and maybe even triple platinum by its tenth anniversary.
