Oh I loved Case Closed, gutted about that. I've voted out Make You Believe, it's the only one I skip on the album and one of two I can't really remember.

I'm quite excited for that aspect, I think for them it should really help and hype will be sky high come release week. Fingers crossed they get some strong tv promo to go along with great airplay. Now I've gotten passed the 'it sounds exactly like 'Trouble'' feeling, I have really been enjoying it. I hope they can go top 3 in both singles and albums charts considering the time of year. :) I need some good Sats back in my life as I virtually skipped over the whole last era.

Thanks to the YTD thread we have updates for Move, Word Up & Salute along with the Salute album. If anyone has any other corrections / updates please don't hesitate to say. Going by the mid weeks Salute (single) is on track to pass 100k this week. :)

Salute Single 28,993 Album 3,501 To hit platinum they'll need 1,875 on average week by week now, presuming my week count is correct.

Thanks nettoron :) For it to go Platinum this year it needs another 56,000 sales, with roughly 29 weeks left (someone might know better than me when the chart year ends this time). So if my maths haven't failed me that would be an average of just over 1,931 copies a week. ATM that seems to be about position 45 - 50. I'm not sure that's possible, but you never know if later in the year they get a massive single out it may boost the Salute album when the album market is healthier. Worth keeping an eye on as it's not out of reach, but I would say it would be impressive at this stage if they managed it. :)

When Salute was announced as a single I was pretty confident it may be their first post album top 10 but when it was released last week I was starting to wonder if it was going to end up being their lowest charting single. So glad BGT had the effect it did. I wish this and Move had been a 1, 2 punch.

Shame R1 dropped them from the playlist before their strongest week. Hopefully they can prove R1 wrong though and make them second guess their decision.

Nice to see social media thought LM outshined Cheryl last night, it's good for them to establish themselves as great performers.

It's really good to see that nearly all of the singles are pretty much constantly in the top 1500 in the UK. So relieved to see Salute top 10, hopefully it won't be their lowest peak single now. :)

Glad you had a good time! Their fanbase is very young, hopefully the festivals this summer help them gain an older demographic as well and they follow it up with music that can appeal toa much wider age range. Really gutted about Jade supposedly confirming no DVD. :cry:

So today is the release day of Salute, unfortunately This Morning didn't happen, rumoured to be because of the OD scandal, but we'll never know for sure. Which atm leaves just one piece of promo for Salute which is BGT, fingers crossed more news comes in, please let me know if you hear of anything.

That article worried me for one reason and that was that they said they would be releasing a new single in November, even if the album wasn't ready. I really think artists should have the whole album finished before picking the singles. The Saturdays tend to do this strategy a lot and it doesn't pay off, you have to pick from the best of the album, not the best of the handful of songs you've recorded as you're worried people might move on if you don't release something. They need to release music that is worthy of waiting for - I don't mean take 3 years off, but an extra 6 months isn't going to kill anyone, especially as it would just give them more time to release more singles and to visit more countries for longer periods of time, they don't need to be 100% out of the publics mind for that long. They've had two very successful lead singles from both albums, they really need to have a 3rd, possibly even bigger hit for album #3, not just release a single cause you've hit your deadline. This all said, I think they have plenty of time to create a killer single by November, I just hope they have at least 80% of the album finished before they release anything related to it.

Some tv news starting to come through, they have This Morning on 29th May and then Britains Got Talent on the 7th June, hopefully they have a few in between, but it's a good start so far.
