  1. Shane Filan @ShaneFilan Don't miss Friday mailer this week guys .. Video clip from the studio !! Its about time ye saw what I've been up to !!:) #FilanFriday --- Very excited for this, hopefully we'll get a lil teaser of music!
  2. Excited to hear what they'll come out with, I don't care for their solo stuff so fingers crossed it is indeed a group comeback, I don't mind if they have the odd solo on the album though.
  3. Awesome! So excited to hear them now! To think a few weeks back I was getting so excited about the prospect of the one single, but now it's confirmed we'll get four! Very happy and massively intrigued.

Happy to see it at #10 on iTunes atm, I wasn't sure which way this would go, but it's had a pretty good start so far, just hopefully it can keep rising or stay steady. Does anyone know why there's a 2 week gap until the album release though?
  5. Yeah the "extra" sounds like it's going to be four in total, either 3 or 4 though it's all good! I really can't wait! Urgh when Wonderland released NALS it was supposed to chart in the singles chart like most singles with the sales from the EP contributing to it, but the label decided to try and get people to buy the EP as a whole and because the EP was named "An Introduction to Wonderland" rather than just "Not A Love Song" the sales couldn't be combined. They technically sold enough to go top 75, but because of that they decided to pull it from being chart eligible and therefore everyone thought they well and truly flopped. Fair enough, they didn't do well, but they did a lot better than people thought and that whole thing was very easily avoided. I presume Louis will make sure that can't happen here, it's annoying when something should have done better than it's outcome because of a silly error like that. Like I said before though, I am really excited about this especially that it's going to be multiple songs, sometimes it's hard to read what an album is going to be like from just the one single, so this is going to give us a proper taster.
  6. Excited! Is it the single + 3 tracks, or 3 tracks including the single? I'm really excited about this, I just hope they don't screw the EP thing up like they did with Wonderland & Not A Love Song!
  7. Yeah I'm kinda disappointed with it's chart performance atm too, although that said it is up to #12 on iTunes atm, so there's obviously legs in it yet. As long as it outsells Change Your Life in the end I'll be happy. They've constantly confirmed that this is the last single for the album so it would be good to end it on a high. Plus everyone saying that people are loosing interest in them because every single they release sells less than the one before is kinda annoying. To me, that's expected, but I'd like them to buck the trend here just to prove a point.
  8. I was wrong, the album mustn't be finished as he's recording lots of songs he's done with The Nexus atm. I like the stuff I've heard from them so I'm looking forwards to seeing what they'll come up with together.
  9. I'm also looking forwards to a 2NE1 comeback, not really been liking the English stuff we've heard so I hope their Korean comeback is more in line with their older tracks.
  10. As much as it's great that he's following people, I personally find this wait for any news boring. They've obviously been working on this album for quite some time and they were very quiet for the recording which I was really happy about as I find being drip feed tiny news bulletins ages apart really annoying. So when he launched I was really excited that things would start progressing, especially as the single & album were mentioned in his launch. But a month on we are literally no further forwards. I kinda wish they had held back on the launch until they were ready. I get they want #FilanFriday to trend and spread the word about Shanes music so people are aware he's going solo before he actually does, but they really need to come up with a better way than "whoever spams Shane the most gets a follow" method. At least do a Q&A or something where we may get some sort of info on this career.
  11. "Ex Westlifer Shane Filan has his debut solo album finished and ready to go. The singer, 33, who penned a €1million deal with London Records last month, has apparently now picked every track which will feature on his upcoming release. Record bosses are hoping the album will hit shelves before Christmas." TV3.ie And going by his wifes tweets the album definitely sounds like it's done, hopefully not long until we hear news on a first single then! Getting very excited for this!
  12. I definitely got this feeling too, but they did it well imo so I don't mind.
  13. Well I didn't see this one coming, love both artists but they're completely different so I'm excited to see how they work together. Hoping it's good, kinda worried it won't be.
  14. ^^ OMG that is freaking awesome! My fave k-pop song of 2013 so far. So so so catchy... and I can't stop laughing!

It's featured on an advert atm so that will help a little, I wonder if they'll make it 59p from the off like with Black Heart, it certainly did them no harm last time and they need this to be seen as a hit to get them back on track.
  16. Does 4Minute have a mini album out too? I can't seem to find any trace of it on iTunes?
  17. Yeah SHINees' song is a little disappointing, I like the verses it just the line 'Why so serious' is a little slow and i dunno.. doesn't sound that great to me. I actually adore the 4Minute song though, it's not one of their best, but still a very strong song! I'll give the other track a few more listens before commenting. :) I was just checking how they were doing on iTunes randomly and SHINee are doing very well! The Album: #2 Hong Kong #2 Japan #2 Singapore #3 Taiwan #4 Macau #8 Indonesia #8 The Bahamas #15 Thailand #19 Malaysia #42 Philippines #56 Sweden #60 Mexico #62 Canada #74 United States #89 Romania #102 Bulgaria #116 Peru #132 Paraguay #153 Kazakhstan #167 New Zealand #169 Australia #175 Latvia #287 Guatemala #365 Costa Rica Have they ever charted top 100 in the US before? Has anyone ever charted top 100 in the US before?
  18. It's #5 on the album chart in the UK and #2 in Ireland so looks like they'll do well upon release. It's nice to have another boyband around... and one (from the UK) that I actually like.

  20. Ah I understand, I hope he gets better soon! Seeing him missing made me a lil worried he was going to leave or something, so that's a relief (although obviously I'm not happy he's hurt). The song sounds pretty good though, looking forwards to the full song.
  21. I really like this, the verses are lush, the chorus is way too repetitive though, even on first listen it's a bit bleugh so it's gonna get annoying quick. But the verses make up for it for me and overall I really like it. A solid 7/10 I think, I hope their future songs aren't quite as save and generic, but for what it is, a nice inoffensive pop song it's really good. Looking forwards to hearing more of their stuff.
  22. wv-7OsNL0Lw There's only four of them there?
  23. I agree with your point about Wonderland, however Westlife didn't get great airplay for the latter part of their career, What About Now got quite good airplay but that was the only one and Radio 1 full blank refused to support them branding them a "radio 2 artist". That in itself wasn't a big deal to Westlife, but Shane will have a tougher time. Although, that said, if radio 1 aren't going to playlist him anyway (which is quite likely) then I guess just accepting that and aiming for a different market isn't a bad move as long as they're willing to accept that will make him more of an albums artist and to not expect singles to do so well. TBH he'll probably be an albums artist anyway as Westlife kinda were at the end. It's just from the publics point of view success seems to be determined on having hit singles so I hope he can get his debut single right and at least get a hit out of that. Agreed about the singles too, they definitely need to get a lot out there for his debut era. I think it's safe to say they'll be two before the album, he's said the first single will be out in the summer and the album later in the year, so that sounds like he's aiming for a Q4 release of the album and I don't think they'd risk it without a single leading it in. Like you said an XF slot would be absolutely perfect to get him maximum exposure at the time. I hope they can promo the hell out of the album and give him the best possibly chance. Fingers crossed we'll get atleast 4 out of the first era, hopefully more if possible. And again I agree on your last points, with Shane though, more so than Mark, I feel like he probably needs the success more, I can't even explain why I think that, I just feel there's more pressure on him to be successful than Mark. The fact they are both heavily involved with their debut albums makes me really happy. Shane could very easily have gone down the themed cover album idea that I'm sure a Louis Simon combo would have suggested but it's nice to see he's trying to do the opposite and is actively creating his music, I have a lot more respect for him doing that. I literally can't wait for Shane to drop his single and for us to get a glimpse as to how his music will sound. Summer. Hurry. Up!

I think Radio 1 Xtra was where it got premiered so hopefully R1 will playlist it. Capital playlisting it will help a lot and it's nice to see radio still have faith in them after Waterfalls. The performance on The Voice of Ireland was really good too! :)
  25. Oooh thanks for posting the songs! I didn't recognize the other names so did a little research, they seem to have a country vibe going on, I'm a tiny bit worried that Louis is going to repeat the exact same mistakes he did with Wonderland with Shane. But I'm going to stay positive until we hear something, but it's crucial he gets some radio friendly and commercial sounding songs to guarantee a hit single. It's great to see him with writing credits though, I have enjoyed all the Westlife songs he has taken part in so I am positive he'll create some good music, plus I feel it's just more special when he's actively creating it. That said, I'm keeping fingers crossed we'll get some songs by Steve Mac, Wayne Hector and Savan Kotecha on the album somewhere.
