Lawson - Standing In The Dark
Phew, the best choice imo and the studio version sounds really nice. Hopefully this one can spend more than 3 weeks in the top 40!

Lawson - Standing In The Dark
I'm also hoping for Standing In the Dark, it was instantly my favourite track by them and still is. But then I like 'Runs Around', 'You Didn't Tell Me' & 'Standing In The Dark' all better than their first two singles, so I wouldn't mind if any of those three turns out to be the next single.

Olly Murs - Right Place Right Time
In Case You Didn't Know sold 833,900 as of last Sunday according to the Year To Date thread and his debut has sold at least 715k. Like you said his second album has outsold his first which showed his popularity increasing whereas many artists, especially XF ones, seems to be biggest on their debut. It might be true that sales won't be as high with the album market shrinking, but I think it's safe to say he will have one of the biggest sellers of the year. Personally, I'm looking forwards to this, I hope this continues the sound of his second album, I didn't really care for him on XF or the first era, but I'm starting to really enjoy his music after giving his albums a proper listen. And people might say he's an album artist, but he does have some big selling singles it has to be said, he does quite well in both markets.

'30 Days' (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
This is included on 'Now That What I Call Music 82' so will hopefully give it a little boost again.

Lawson - Taking Over Me
Taking Over Me is definitely better than When She Was Mine, I really think everything about this band is completely spot on except the music itself which is just average to me.

R.I.P. (feat. Tinie Tempah) | 1st Single
Really happy 'How We Do (Party)' is the next single, stumbled onto it about a week ago on youtube I was obsessed with it for a few days. It's very instant. Is there any news on when they may drop the album?

'30 Days' (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
Wow I hadn't realised that up until Missing You most of their singles had very strong second weeks, it's a bit worrying that they get about the same peaks now and then drop off massively, whereas they used to stay around a bit longer in the earlier days.

'30 Days' (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 1)
Livepopbars hasn't updated since they were at #14 but this is how it looks: Rita Ora 100% Carly Rae Jepsen 85% Fun. 80% Tulisa 75% Alex Clare 65% Rihanna 55% Train 50% Jessie J 40% Nicki Minaj 40% Far East Movement 40% Gotye 32% Rascal Flatts 30% Calvin Harris 30% Saturdays 35% So when they hit #10 they have a good shot of moving up further quite quickly.

'30 Days' (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 1)
I was wondering if any of their other songs were getting a boost too. We do have a top 400 though and there not in there. The only Sats stuff that is charting is: Tracks 24 - 30 Days 363 - Turn Myself In Albums 1 - 30 Days 279 - 30 Days (Remixes)

'30 Days' (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 1)
Thank you so much, I was looking for these but couldn't find it. Looks like 30 Days might be their second highest come 12, I hadn't realised AFU was that high that quickly.

Adam Lambert - Better Than I Know Myself//Trespassing
Outlaws Of Love & Runnin' are my two favourites atm, they are both amazing in completely different ways.

'30 Days' (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 1)
I presume the reason Simon/ITV won't put them on the main show is because of their album sales and tour sales aren't as big as the artists they do put on, they can't seem to get the public to buy into them past the one song. But take XF/BGT aside, they've preformed on Dancing On Ice, Alan Carr, Graham Norton and (maybe just an interview) on The Jonathon Ross Show in the past, which are all huge shows. I think to be taking really seriously they do need that #1/huge selling single OR shift albums to platinum+ or sell out multiple dates in the same venue and become a touring act, they basically need to add another string to their bow. At the moment they are very much a singles act without that huge seller. I don't think Simon/ITV have anything against them, it just makes sense to priorities other artists who do better on the charts and when touring over the girls. For me it just feels a bit frustrating that Ego or Higher hadn't been lead singles as both felt like they had the potential to go #1, or that Headlines! hadn't had been a straight forward re-release of Wordshaker and would have maybe got their second album to more respectable sales. But hey what can you do, it's all what if's and buts, we could never be sure. Personally, I just don't see 30 Days doing all that well for them though, but I hope I'm wrong.

Joe McElderry
Glad to hear he's working on original non classical music for his new album, interested in what he will come up with. His debut didn't seem very him, but I did enjoy it.

Saturdays iTunes Watch
Does anyone know where On Your Radar was? I just randomly checked and it's at #254 in the UK, is 30 Days giving it a bit of a boost or was it there anyway?

The Irish Chart Thread 2012
Opps sorry, and yeah that's what I meant. Call Me Maybe seems to have come out of nowhere for me, I've yet to hear it myself.

The Irish Chart Thread 2012
Yikes for JLS, surprised Little Mix are only dropping out this week, they hold up really well. Also, glad to see WL's album getting a bit of a climb the last 2 weeks.

The Irish Chart Thread 2012
Surprised Bressie didn't get higher since everyone seems to have fallen for him and with there not being much new music I would have thought alexandra would have broken the top 5 if not higher.

The Irish Chart Thread 2012
So The Voice boosted Royseven back into both the singles and albums chart this week. Surprised Marcus didn't do any better, I thought he'd get a top 20 at least.

The **Irish** iTunes Chart 2010-2014

Weekly Sales (Singles)
Such an interesting post, thanks for compiling that list! I really hope AFU can stay top 200 for a long time and keep the sales ticking over.

The Irish Chart Thread 2012
I disagree, the acts on that show can actually sing, it's refreshing in many ways. Although I'm not sure it will have an impact chart wise, but Bressie just sitting in a chair seems to be on his album so who knows.
