  1. I understand with charity singles and songs that are garanteed the spot. But theres lots of artists who could place anywhere and it is completely depending on the song.
  2. I find it weird people are predicting for songs they've not heard yet.
  3. I think #5, I think Children In Need single & Rihanna will chart higher than them, plus JLS will probably be sticking around the top 5 and probably something else from a previous week. I reckon the album will chart at #8 the following week.

I think Olly Murs, JLS, Westlife, One Direction, Florence & The Machine and Matt Cardle will. I don't really track outside of the pop genre, but would guess Coldplay and Snow Patrol would have a good chance and there are likely to be a few suprises here and there.
  5. Congrats Cremey! http://i52.tinypic.com/2ni9o9v.jpg

    The standard is so much higher this week IMO, so many amazing covers it's so hard to choose! 10 - A 9 - B 8 - I 7 - L 6 - N 5 - M 4 - G 3 - F 2 - D 1 - C
  7. Did someone edit my post? I didn't get it wrong, Beautiful World is what I said and meant. :)
  8. I just came cross this on spotify, never heard of her before, but this song is stunning!
  9. More news: There will be 6 new songs on their, 2 more than originally reported. And one of the songs is called 'Beautiful World' it's written by Mark Feehily, Ruth Anne Cunningham and John Shanks, it was originally supposed to serve as the lead single, but they changed to Lighthouse at the last minute. Quotes from Kian earlier in the year means this is supposed to be an uptempo.
  10. I imagine they would sell about 50,000 outside the top 40 over quite a long amount of time. I don't really think that would need to be reported in Music Week as big sellers that make the year end top 200 would be reported anyway and it they cleared big milestones they are likely to be shown too. I do hope one of the music channels do a top 10 single sales though. :)
  11. ^ I disagree, The Sats are often in the Totals section, but once they're out of the top 40 they don't sell much so theres no need to keep updating. When they release the new album we'll probably get a total for Headlines! But unless their singles re-enter the top 40 we are very unlikely to get an update, but thats the same with everyone.
  12. Thanks for that Liam, I had thought it would be a bit higher, but still for them to clear 100K in two weeks is very positive. :)
  13. N'aww look at all you closet fans you were all in here very quickly. ;) Well I for one am looking forwards to this. Especially the new album tracks. :)

  17. Ah I'm not bothered if they've applied for the actual certificate, they still are as they've sold that amount.

  19. I love that they have a Silver, Gold and a Platnium certificate album. Now next one needs to go Diamond. ;)
  20. Ahhh my sort of thread! Thank you so much for compiling it and make it so easy to understand. I hope Higher is on 297K as that is sooo close to the 300,000 and it really should pass that as it's really good. Hoping AFU will eventually get to the 300K mark too.
  21. Theres an article on the Daily star (?) about him wanting the get artists that do rare performances in order to stop the show from flopping, obviously whether that is true or not is debatable, but if it is I think we'll see a lot of American artists that rarely promote in this country and not (m)any British/Irish acts unless their XF related. I hope everyone that was on Red or Black isn't on XF though. I'd love The saturdays to get their first appearance on there and I'd love to see Westlife back on there too as well as Jennifer Lopez. Can't say theres many other artists I'm that bothered about atm. Do we know how many guests are performing per week, I hope it's 3+, it's the only reason I tune in.

  23. My first time entering the competition, it always looked really fun. :) http://i56.tinypic.com/15wlbue.jpg
  24. They have been dropped. I hope they are still together though, they are so talented it would be a real shame for them to just be dropped and forgotten like that. 'In Your Arms' remains one of the best songs of the last two years.
  25. According to Savee Entertainment, who represent them in Ireland, they do have a tour in the works, but no dates set yet. Not sure if it'll be just Ireland or will include the UK, I imagine it'll include the UK though as they've never done anything that hasn't. Very excited about this even if it is ages away.
