I really hope it does work out for them. Bless them they're going to have to work harder than every before in those 10 weeks. They should throw everything and the iamspamspamamisink at their visit to the US. If it doesn't work then it doesn't work. The success they have in the UK this era should spill over into international success if done correctly, the songs are good enough and they can more than sell them with amazing live vocals and performances. Their songs just need to be put in front of enough people. I'm quite nervous to see how it does.

That's a great point haha! They were so dominant in the UK I totally forgot you had to actually be British in nationality.

I can't believe the Spice Girls never won and that Westlife were never nominated - both were hugely successful at their peak. This is why I don't care about who wins the Brits, because the awards mean nothing. I just like the performances as you know the artists are going to go all out.

I would have preferred album over video, but hey 3 noms is great and more importantly they'll be performing on the night.

Probably cause Black Magic was performed EVERYWHERE in the UK (literally, probably every tv show possible), in a lot of big American shows (Ellen, America's Got Talent, James Cordean, etc) besides all the European ones etc. While SOTME did have quite a few international performances, it did lack the America push.

 

That's probably what it is for me, great observation.

To me 'Shout Out To My Ex' doesn't feel as big as 'Black Magic' despite it having a much better chart run and likely sales. I'm not sure why that is, maybe it's just me? Glad to see both SOTME and Black Magic are on track to pass the million mark though. :)

Do you think Radio 2 will still playlist this anytime soon?

 

To me Touch doesn't sound like it would belong on Radio 2's playlist, I'd personally be surprised if they decided to add it (although happy).
