  2. awww. Finland... so adorable... i wanna squish him lol very Le Petit Prince... i hope it qualifies
  3. if it was w/o rap it would be awesome... the rap kills it.
  4. i just love, love love Swiss entry... too bad it has no chance qualifying :(
  5. yeah, Russia, sure. yell "happy victory day" in GERMANY haha way to get more votes
  6. omg. Russia will be GENIUS next to that stuff that came before lol
  7. so far the best part of the evening was that folk song
  8. oh my ears!
  9. ih3artduck5 posted a post in a topic in Eurovision Song Contest
wow who would have thought that she actually has a very nice voice. pleasant and soft. i like I Love Belarus but apparently it does her voice NO JUSTICE whatsoever... Anastasia sings Killing Me Softly
  10. Belarus missing by 1 pt sucks
  11. i want Azerbaijan, Iceland, Finland and Switzerland to qualify. don't care about the rest. :)
  12. Russia: meh, i guess it's fine. miles better than last year. simple pop song, cute boy. did he step in some radioactive material on the way to arena? it will qualify fo sho, if last year monstrosity did. 7/10 Israel: loved her winning song years ago, but this one... nothing special. it will most likely ride into the finals on her name and some diaspora voting... 5/10 Armenia: the refrain is golden, but the rest of the song is bad. 5/10 boom-boom, chaka-chaka! Hungary: very "i drove all night" by Celine Dion. it's a nice disco-pop song. she has some pipes in her too! 8.5/10 Serbia: they are about 50 years too late  i like the 60s feel and she is adorable, but nothing special much. 6/10 Albania: i liked it at first, but then got over it. 5/10 The Netherlands: i like it a lot. would have loved it even more if it wasn't a "painting by numbers" of that style. any other style i'd dump that kind of approach to around 1 or 2 but i like this style too much... 8/10 Latvia: i can get over wrong stress in words or sentence to fit music... once, maybe twice... and if i really like the song... but angEl in disguise, tendernEss, crossIng mah mind... and i don;t really like the song to begin with. fail! 0/10 Portugal: as was said before, earrape. in a in a particularly perverse form http://community.breastcancer.org/javascripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-yell.gif MINUS 10 out of 10... or in real world 0/10 Croatia: why is Celine Dion singing BSB song?  it starts just like "Incomplete" i guess it's ok for an ultimate pop marriage of style lol 7/10 Estonia: i've grown to like it. not love it.. 7/10 Romania: i can hear a little bit of "Sweet escape" by Gwen Stefani in refrain, but not too much. like the song a lot. hope it does well. 8.5/10 Georgia: i'm confused. and i don't like to be confused... can they please pick one song out of that mix of genres and sing it? 4/10
  13. my ears still bleed from that one voice in UKs group... >.< i wonder about Belarus 2nd rehearsal... they said in national news papers that they will not use folk ornament in the background, because it's too busy... but it's back... although i probably should know by now to take whatever is written in national paper and divide it by 10  and it irks me that they have dulcimers but they are recorded... and the woman that appears to be playing them does it only half the time they sound in the song... from a great way to show heritage it is slowly becoming a cheap trick... color me disappointed... :(
  14. this. plus, disappointed in his live singing. don't get me wrong he is leaps and bounds ahead of majority of contestants, but in terms of opera, he sucks... maybe not completely sucks, but he is at the bottom of operatic talent. had he sung a power ballad he'd be god among men, this way... it's just meh... as for UK... conceited much? hate the screens with creepy faces on them. hose guys are not even THAT good looking... not ugly of course, but if you blow somebody's face up like that he better be a descendant of a greek god... plus the sound was horrible. i will not blame then for that, it's a rehearsal, that's what they are for. but at this point it's rather painful to look at and listen to... just saw Cyprus... i like their approach. ski boots FTW!
  15. Belarus 83Vs-yi5bT4 i kinda like it actually, choreo is a bit lame, but she is a wooden doll so they had to do something that she doesn't look completely awkward doing  love the modern take on dulcimers. her dress is cool. i want one like that too! lol but not as shiny, just the color and pattern haha but can someone please explain the microphone stands?????
  16. Dino Merlin makes me cry... so much charm, warmth and love... he sounded great in rehearsal!

United Kingdom (6) somehow i think my result is somewhat reversed
  18. ops. i missed a lot... ok let me get back to it :) Germany: i like it. althiugh i feel like something is missing. i'm afraid Lena is lacking some "cool" to fully pull it off. last year she was quirky and it worked for a song beautifully. this one. it needs more sophisticated sex, if you know what i mean. think "Fever" or even "Puttin' on the Ritz", it needs class, and Lena is too young to have it...7.5/10 France: i like Bolero beat, i like that it's different. but it's so wrong for Eurovision, i think. and i'm not sure he can get that power live. 7/10 Belarus: ok. i'm biased. born and raised in Belarus. i HATED the "ussr" song. and was pleasantly surprised by how they salvaged the song...well re-wrote it lol. it has that catchy melody, the singer is pretty, she has a recognizable voice, but what seals it for me is the hammered dulcimer, or how we call it i n Belarusian: (stress on a). LOVE IT! i feel like it's in my blood lol please, please, PLEASE have that instrument on the stage and highlight it! the sound is gorgeous and you'd be hard pressed to find anything more Belarusian than dulcimer. i really want it to make out of the semis. but why, oh WHY, isn't it in Belarusian language? if there was any time to enter Eurovision with mother language it's with the song thate xpresses love towards you country, no? sigh... 9/10 (did i mentioned i'm biased? ) Ukraine: i heard a lot of bad things surrounding Ukranian choice. That everybody liked Jamala and Mika was selected and she sucks... idk... i listened to Jamala and cringed. then i listened to Mika and liked it. I can barely understand her English 50% of the time, but i guess it's the case for most easter european singers... after downloading the whole list of songs that song is one of about 15-20 i don't skip and listen fully. so i'll give it 7/10
  19. i LOOOOOVED Lithuania last year! but i must have been in the minority...
  20. song #1 was dirty and juvenile. Lasha tumbai was stupid, but fun... Molitva was a beautiful power ballad. imo none deserved to win, but out of three the lesser evil was Molitva. my guilty pleasure from 2007 was Sarbel  but my fav entry that year was Hungary. also loved Koldun and Frauen regier'n die Welt
  21. i like England's entry a lot. but i can't get over that one guy's voice. the highest tenor, it's bearable in recording, but it's ear-bleeding-inducing in live version. http://www.xpgamesaves.com/public/style_emoticons/Newsmiliepack/russian_roulette.gif 8/10 change this guy and it will be 10...
  22. very much dislike. it starts nicely... for few seconds, the it's a train-wreck. 3/10
  23. out of Favs my favs are Azerbajan, France and UK. but i think Russia pretty much has it in the bag. they can go on stage do musical farting and still make it very high. Exibit A: last year... sure they didn't make it to the top 10, but the song was only slightly better than aforementioned bowel baritone... with a half decent song and some big names behind it... it's a stroll in the park for them. i'm expecting a strong show that will seal the deal.
  24. one of my favs this year. very colbie caillat. 9/10
  25. it's so funny how different the tastes are... i guess that's the best part about the music. i can think something is crap but someone else would enjoy it and vise versa, i'd be drooling about some music and another person would cringe and try to jump out of the window on the first note
