I've listened to it a couple times so far and i'm still not really crazy about this. It's nice and I like it but it's not my top 10 of the year.

I decided to do some analysis. Basically I checked when songs from the playlist peaked on the Official Chart. If the song has spent more than one week at its peak position then its peak date was when it was at that position for the last time. And it turns out that: 40% of the songs from Hot Hits UK peaked on the Official Chart at least 6 weeks ago 25% of the songs peaked at least 2 months ago

23. Carly Rae Jepsen - I Really Like You

When it comes to 3 track rule i also remember Ed's song with 50 Cent and Eminem from No. 6 Collaborations Project which was new entry at #3 on monday's update and was announced as number one on week's trending chart by OCC but ended out of top 100 on friday because it was overtaken by other album track. That was ridiculous to see.

Apparently it's out of top 200! It's also not showing up on the Global Spotify Chart which it entered at #92 yesterday. I'm shocked because on Apple it has climbed to top 50 yesterday and is at number 48 now.

So 'Lasting Lover' which enters top 40 comfortably at #27 this week might have missed out without ACR and 'Obey' instead of becoming top 40 hit for BMTH wouldn't even make top 50. Seeing this really makes me appreciate ACR more. Although I get irritated by all those unnatural chart runs like e.g. 'Rain On Me' spending 9 weeks in top 4 and then dropping to 21 out of the blue or 'God's Plan' having 9 consecutive weeks at number 1 and then suddenly dropping to number 10 because they all look just very weird. But seeing this slow moving chart without ACR would've been much more painful :lol:

Yup it is also among my recommended new releases on Spotify. Although definitely not because of Ed Sheeran but because it has the words "dance" and "remix" in the title :lol:
