  1. 9. Robbie Williams - Can't Stop Christmas
  2. Christina Perri number 3 :o
  3. I'm shocked there are so many iTunes users who don't own a copy of 'A Thousand Years'. Like, it's been re-entering iTunes top 100 at least once a week for almost a decade.
  4. Thanks for the info! Honestly, it makes no sense to me that they still publish top 100 physical singles and at the same time only top 40 for vinyl albums. I wonder how long before they cut the physical chart down to top 40 only. Maybe they havn't done it so far because this chart has very long history and used to be the official chart for many years but surely it will happen someday. No one will publish full top 100 where you only need 2 copies to chart.
  5. This day will go down in history not only because Mariah finally got to number one. Number one on the sales chart 'Live It Up' by Mental As Anything is nowhere to be found on the official singles chart. It's the first time ever the best selling single of the week failed to make the official top 100.
  6. 12. Bicep - Apricots

Yeah, BTS stans unliking and then liking their whole discography again every single day to keep it high in the chart was the first thing that came to my mind in terms of disadvantages. Surely there should be some limit introduced for chart purposes so you can only like something once in a lifetime from your account

I think every Spotify user knows what the heart icon is, a function that allows you to give song or album a 'like' and add it to your personal Spotify library. I was recently wondering how would the Spotify chart based on most liked songs and albums look like. Would daily chart showing most liked songs in the last 24 hours be different from the daily chart of most streamed songs. And similarly the chart of most liked albums during the week, would it be different from the most streamed albums chart that Spotify started to publish recently. I know it's only hypothetical idea but I would be very curious to see something like this one day. I think this chart could possibly be faster than normal Spotify top 50 because theoretically once you've saved a song to your library you don't do that again while you might be streaming it every day for months. So it might resemble the iTunes chart in terms of turnover speed. Another thing is you only like songs that you actually enjoy, while you might stream something only because you want to check it out and it can be something you'll hate or it can be just passive playlist/algorithm based streaming of songs that are not really your faves. That would be interesting to see if being the most streamed means being the most loved by the public. There's also an option of pre-saving songs so that could possibly have an effect on new releases doing a bit better. It would be also interesting to see the list of most liked albums every week and see if the ones that get biggest number of streams would dominate. I think we could see some surprises in here. It's just something I was thinking about recently. What do you think?
  9. 28. Sara Bareilles - She Used to Be Mine
  10. Lol I think on that week we might have a number one with less than 30k. Sales figures will look like 2005
  11. Imagine Mariah ending up at number 3 on the Official Chart while Bieber battles for number one with Santa Mince Pie
  12. 1. One Voice Children's Choir - Memories

  17. Not a single album released this year will sell enough to reach platinum certification :( That's very sad. And only one album selling over 300k this year...
  18. 42. McFly - All About You
  19. Liam is currently #168 on Apple Music. It's not that bad. I think he's actually quite strong on streaming comparing to other artists from his generation.
  20. 1. Liam Gallagher - All You're Dreaming Of 1.0000 2. Nathan Dawe x Little Mix - No Time For Tears 0.6769 3. Little Mix - Sweet Melody 0.3624 That's a very good lead for Liam!
  21. I misread the title as 'Anne-Marie's Hottest Record of the Year' and my heart literally stopped
  22. I remeber looking at those figures last year. Based on them Ellie had over 2 million streams more on Amazon during the week than Mariah on Spotify. Like... HOW? I still can't imagine that being possible.
  23. 32. Opus - Live Is Life (Digitally Remastered) [single Version] Maradona impact :cheeseblock:
  24. 38. Alexandra Burke - Silent Night Correct me if I'm wrong but this must be her first iTunes top 40 since 'Let It Go' :o
  25. 6. Becky Hill - Forever Young (From The McDonald's Christmas Advert 2020) 33. Sam Fender - Winter Song
