Did "ok.com" kill Alexandra Burke's career?
It seems like a combination of things. The okay.com appearance can't have helped, but I'd say it's mainly because the two new songs aren't stand out records. Combined with/resulting in the fact that she's getting limited radio play (though hasn't she always had a tough time with this, with Radio 1 mainly ignoring her?). Elephant was the problem for me. It wasn't a strong enough comeback record. And that has led to many not being that interested in the follow up (which seems, at least, a bit catchier). It's a shame as the first era was fantastic: Overcome is one of the best debut albums from X Factor alumni.

First week X Factor single sales
Does anyone have the first week sales figures for the X Factor Winners: I'm interested in comparing. I'm talking first proper single, rather than winner's singles. Joe McElderry "Ambitions": 43,034 Alexandra Burke "Bad Boys": ? Leon Jackson "Don't Call This Love: ? Leona Lewis "Bleeding Love": ? Would also be interested in the first week sales of: Diana Vickers "Once": ? Olly Murs "Please Don't Let Me Go": ? Shayne Ward "No Promises": ? JLS "Beat Again": ? Thanks anyone who can help!

Diana Vickers - My Wicked Heart
I know a lot of fans are annoyed that she's re-releasing after just 2 singles, but essentially it's the record companies attempt to resurrect Diana's career post-The Boy Who Murdered Love. In this case, i really don't think it's a con to get fans to double buy, but an attempt to give the album some (much deserved) longevity. Still very much liking the song. PS. And why does the thread need to turn into a Nadine vs Diana thread? ;)

Diana Vickers - My Wicked Heart
It's bizarre. I like it. Out of the X Factor alumuni, she's definitely doing the most interesting stuff; whether that translates into hits or not is another question.

Alexandra Burke ft. Pitbull - All Night Long
How do record companies pick the singles to release from an album? It just seems strange that they would pick Broken Hills as the second single over this? Very glad it's been released though: stand out for me on the album.

Diana Vickers - The Boy Who Murdered Love
Once took at least 6 listens for me to understand why it was good, so I'll keep giving this one a go. For now, it sounds a bit too similar to Once with the repeated chorus. I want her to do well though as her music's actually some of the more interesting pop stuff out there at the moment.
