No Hit Wonders
Very good one!!!" "Whole lotta love" and "Stairway to heaven" - two classics which weren't hits in their times...

No Hit Wonders
Oh, I see. I already heard about that. ;) Edit: Oh no - "ds" want me to pay a fee on my registration only because I have an anonymous email address... (no thanks). <_<

No Hit Wonders
The George Baker Selection song I know but the rest is really no hit wonder even for me! What is "ds" (or was it "ts"?) - I want to join that (I love hearing and talkin' about unknown Oldies)! My favourite example for no hit wonder is Canadian band "Saga"! All their songs are sounding like big hits to me but they never had a hit in US or UK! Why "On the loose" (the following song from 1982) didn't made the Top 10 is a mystery to me...!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2glFe0sY_y4

La Roux 'Bulletproof' | US Release
Not sure if La Roux will have more hits there but I think she (& GaGa) paved the way for more electro / dance pop made in UK or from the States itself in the Billboard-Charts!! Maybe it could even be like the so-called "British invasion" in the 60's or the "New Wave" movement in the 80's (every second decade the Brits conquer America lol) - you never know...

Lowest ever UK rating for the Eurovision
ESC was the best when Dana won in 1970 - the Irish Lena lol... :naughty: (damn I can't find a suitable smiley here)...
-
Lowest ever UK rating for the Eurovision
Are you talking about the jury 'only' when you say "just won because Germany were bailing out Europe"?! Because I don't think that telephone voters voted for Germany when they didn't like it...
-
Lowest ever UK rating for the Eurovision
That last thing just isn't right! Cheryl or Rob could sing what they want they would still reach a decent rank (it's all about popularity)!!
-
Lowest ever UK rating for the Eurovision
Haha, alright then.
-
Lowest ever UK rating for the Eurovision
Dré, according to your flag I guess you're from Uzbekistan. How would you explain the fact that Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan as "Ex-USSR states" (and even Israel) are taking part on the ESC but not your country although it was also part of the USSR...?!! Another question would be for me why Scotland and Wales aren't making an own ESC song instead of swallowing what the "English BBC" gives them?!
-
Lowest ever UK rating for the Eurovision
Wow, no one since Johnny Logan broke into the Aussie Charts...??!! Respect Lena, respect...!!!

US Billboard chart analysis (12/06/2010)
So US-Charts more interesting than UK-Charts now?!!! :o The last time you could claim that was in the 80's...!!!

Edward Maya & Vika Jigulina - Stereo Love
Well, okay you're right that he produced some songs with Akcent but yet he still copied the sound! For that statement you should read the text from the official site of Akcent! I just shortened it a bit: EDWARD MAYA IS NOT THE AKCENT PRODUCER !! Date: 09/04/2010 Dear friends, Lately there have been some rumors and declarations from Edward Maya both on-line and in interviews claiming different things regarding Akcent and we would like to set the record straight once and for all. Akcent has been an international success starting with 2005 when our single "Kylie" was released and became a hit for the first time already. In 2008 Edward Maya (Eduard Ilie) was hired in Adrian's studio as a sound engineer. He contributed to the hit-single "Stay With Me" which was composed by Adrian and Marius Moga of Morandi. Edward was also involved in producing the track "That's My Name" written and composed by Adrian and Lavinia Sima, later when he left Adrian's studio, he took without permission the instrumental of the track with him and recorded new vocals on it releasing "Stereo Love" long after "That's My Name" became a number 1 hit in many countries. Ever since, Edward Maya has been claiming that he is the producer of Akcent and it's success and we want to make it clear: Edward Maya / Eduard Ilie was only involved in the production of two Akcent successes, "Stay With Me" and "That's My Name". That does not in any way make him responsible for Akcent's success over the past 5 years! Love, Akcent (Adrian, Mihai & Sorin)

Good charts and I like the symbols on the right! How do you make them? :D

Edward Maya & Vika Jigulina - Stereo Love
Guys, I'm an expert of Romanian Dance music and I can tell you this song is very overrated! Edward Maya (& Inna) took the chance to release song(s) outside Eastern Europe and we see how it appeals to the listeners in the "west" but they're not the best from Romania! Akcent - my favourite Romanian group - is much better than Edward Maya and they used the "Akkordeon" sound for years (the Romanians in general are making incredible Dance music - I think I should make a topic of this thing next time...)! Anyway, just listen to Akcent' song "That's my name" from 2008 - sounds the same like "Stereo Love" and I'm sure it would have been a hit too in Western Europe...! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmiN0h-3syc

Lowest ever UK rating for the Eurovision
Lol at Serbia and Ireland! :D I don't know why the Brits are complaining - they don't send a decent song (they themselve don't like it so why should anyone in Europe do it?), they don't watch it because of lack of interests and in the end they're still moaning why no one loves them and don't vote for them - this whole scenario happened all the last years (except of last year of course...). The question is, why didn't they learn from last year and get back to the $h!t before '09...??

Kylie: 'GaGa brought pop back to US'
She's so right! I remember years when everything in the US-Charts was lame Hip Hop or only R'n'B! Since GaGa we see there acts like La Roux, Taio Cruz or home-grown 3OH!3 being successful with Pop-Dance stuff! But it's wrong to think that she invited anything in this direction... When she was quite new and released "Poker Face" I thought that she reminded me (only) ""a bit"" of Christina Aguilera in the matter of voice and of Toyah and David Bowie in matter of appearance plus her music sounded a bit like European Dance of the 90's - that's why it's annoying me when people compare every other female singer to her as if she would be an original and would have invited the whole thing...

Dan Balan - Chica Bomb
Inna, Edward Maya, Dan Balan - Romanian/Moldavian Dance is taking over the British Islands! But it would be the best when Morandi, Akcent and David Deejay could do the same they're actually much better Romanian Dance acts/Dj's than these three above...!!!
