I think Glee needs to home it on it's format a little more in Season 2 - by this I mean, a fairer distribution of storylines and direction with the plot and structure of each episode - I love Glee, so don't get me wrong, but it's all Rachel and Finn which gets a bit yawn-worthy and at regionals (like at sectionals) they don't actually perform any songs they've rehearsed throughout the season which makes it a bit pointless.
I don't think ND or VA will win Regionals; I think the other Glee club will, and I think Season 2 needs to kick off with them entering a different competition for a bit, something like a Big Band comp or something rather than just focusing on the showchoir comps.
I really like the idea of each episode focusing on a diff character; it would work well to have a theme for each week (like with Funk and Theatricality) as an ongoing plot, with sidestorylines for each character, which they've done a bit with the back-9 episodes.
I'd love to see April come back and invite Glee to join her for her "all white production of the Wiz" on Broadway for a night; that would be awesome, there are some great songs in that show.
I think one, AND ONLY ONE, artist episode should be in this season, and it shouldn't be another Madonna one and I don't think it should be Britney - I'd choose something like Spice Girls, Lady GaGa or the Backstreet Boys. I'd also love to see an episode which features songs from one musical, like Grease or Wicked or Hairspray; maybe have a few plot points which reflect a shows storyline - that could be fun. Also, what happened with everyone being Slushied, that's not happed for a very long time now.
Besides that, I want there to be an episode for Mike/Matt (the other Asian, I forget which is which) and I think a Brittany episode would be HILARIOUS. Obviously the Kurt Boyfriend storyline is coming up (YEY) and I'd like to see more regular Sue's Corners and journal entries. They win. I could see an excellent episode where Sue needs to ask Will and Glee to help her and her cheerios by performing with them so she can win a competition - that could be excellent, and I'd love to see a school trip episode - either abroad to the UK or Paris or something, or else to NY or California or somewhere - that could be fun. And I want Finn to go gay - but that's wishful thinking.
More mash-ups, more showtunes and more out-of-school storylines.
I think that's it!!! :P
