Gave it All Away, currently @ No.11 on iTunes.
  2. Boyzone now @ no.11
  3. There would have been a fan revolt if they had not used this song as the first single. Having listened to the tracks on the album there are many there that they could have lead with instead, but I think they would have upset Stephen's fans, it would have been as if they had forgotten him. Stephen's fans were angry that they didn't put is picture on the front cover of the album. They did the right thing - their fans understand why they did what they did and thats all thats important.

Delta was on Magic FM today, she was on the phone to Ronan Keating on his show at 2pm. You can listen to the interview here: http://delta-daily.com/2010/03/01/intervie...ating-feb-28th/
  5. I think that is the main reason why Heart, Capital and the rest of the Global stations aren't playing it. Capital were all set to play it and then the week after Ronan joined Magic they didn't. Heart not only didn't play the new single, but took off all of Ronan and Boyzone's songs from their playlists. Radio politics
  6. Its impossible to compete with the other songs if you don't get any airplay, its not a level playing field. In Ireland their airplay has been much, much better and they are out selling everyone.
  7. Just noticed their video is at number 2 - does that count towards the charts?
  8. Well the official video has had almost 400,000 hits on youtube and was top 5 favourited on music, so there could be more interest than airplay seems to reflect. I hope they go top 10 at least, to have a shot at number 1 would be fantastic. I'm just hoping that the album does well because listening to the amazon clips it sounds like a good one so it deserves it.
  9. Boyzone are now number 1
  10. Your just showing your age there Mikey :o
  11. Wow! Amy Mcdonald did well this week, I hope she is not going to beat Boyzone on the albums. Also, what has happened to Ellie's album I thought she was going to do well next week.

The only other track that Stephen is on is the last one Stronger. So its nice that he starts and finishes the album.

There are some sound clips on Amazon of this album. Its interesting to hear them, and how different they sound without Stephen Gately. It sounds very grown up, certainly a different direction, but I like it  http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/recsradio/radio...ef=pd_krex_dp_a
  15. Maybe because they are not doing well on the album pre-release chart. It will be quite a though week anyway, with the fact that it is also Mother's Day that weekend there will be higher sales of all the MOR albums for the mums, so maybe they think it will be easier the following week. They will want the album to go top 10 at least.
  16. With the Global Commercial stations I think it is political. Heart, dropped all of Ronan's and Boyzone songs from their playlists the day after Ronan joined Magic 105.4 as a regular DJ. Magic is on the rival network Bauer. Global own half of the nations commercial stations, which include Heart, Capital, BRMB ect. One of the Capital DJ's actually twittered at the very beginning of Jan that he loved the song and would be playing it very soon...then nothing. I don't think its a coincedense that its not being played by these stations. There are album sample on Amazon now - its a completely new sound for them.
  17. thanks, I'm just hoping that they will go top 10 at least, but they are getting sod-all airplay so who knows. Hopefully the album will do okay.
  18. Dave, on the pre-orders do you have any idea of the numbers involved, or do you just know positions.
  19. Quite like a lot of the tracks on the album. How do you think it will chart?
  20. Their fans have been waiting a long time for this album. If they were getting some decent airplay for the single they'd sell even more.
  21. Happy Chappy posted a post in a topic in Eurovision Song Contest
I am wondering if Justin Lee Collins is going to be an Irish "wildcard". The reason I say this is because every year the Irish have 6 songs to choose from and this year there are only 5. The other reason is that posted on Boyzone and Ronan's site today is a message saying that Ronan and Mikey have songs being entered into Eurovision and be sure to vote for your favourite on the 5th of March on the Late Late Show. So either their official site has posted wrong information or there is "something" going on.
  22. ON A MISSION - GABRIELLA CILMI 8th Feb - This one is out on the 8th of March not Feb OCEAN EYES - OWL CITY 22nd Mar - This one is out on the 15th of Feb, not March
  23. Here is a taster of the Danish songs http://www.dr.dk/melodigrandprix/Artikler/2010/smuglyt.htm
  24. Looks like Justin is very happy with his song from Ronan: "Justin said that he was delighted with the song Ronan Keating has written for his Eurovision bid. He said: "It's up-tempo. It's very Ronan and I'm surprised he's given it to me, it's a really good song. It's not kitsch which is usually my forte. My default is Tom Jones but I can't do that this time." http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukpress/a...dIy22XAhlCrt_OQ
  25. So Ronan has a chance of representing both Denmark and Ireland! Has that ever happened before?
