It was Life Is A Rollercoaster. It went straight in to number one despite one of the CDs being excluded. The second week it fell to number 2 in favour of 5ive's We Will Rock You however if both CDs had been counted it would have stayed at number one for a second week.

Ronan Keating was entered in to the Guiness Book of records in 2004 for having the most consecutive top 10 hits including his hits with Boyzone, and as part of a collaboration. The record at the time was 30 consecutive hits, The run was broken with his last single "Iris". 2 Boyzone Love Me For A Reason Dec 1994 3 Boyzone Key To My Life Apr 1995 3 Boyzone So Good Aug 1995 2 Boyzone Father And Son Nov 1995 4 Boyzone Coming Home Now Mar 1996 1 Boyzone Words Oct 1996 1 Boyzone A Different Beat Dec 1996 2 Boyzone Isn't It A Wonder Mar 1997 2 Boyzone Picture Of You Aug 1997 2 Boyzone / Stephen Gately Baby Can I Hold You / Shooting Star Dec 1997 1 Boyzone All That I Need May 1998 1 Boyzone No Matter What Aug 1998 2 Boyzone I Love The Way You Love Me Dec 1998 1 Boyzone When The Going Gets Tough Mar 1999 1 Boyzone You Needed Me May 1999 3 Boyzone Everyday I Love You Dec 1999 1 Ronan Keating When You Say Nothing At All Aug 1999 Notes 1 Ronan Keating Life is A Rollercoaster Jul 2000 6 Ronan Keating The Way You Make Me Feel Dec 2000 Notes 2 Ronan Keating Lovin' Each Day Apr 2001 1 Ronan Keating If Tomorrow Never Comes May 2002 Notes 5 Ronan Keating I Love It When We Do Sep 2002 4 Ronan Keating featuring Lulu We've Got Tonight Dec 2002 3 Ronan Keating The Long Goodbye May 2003 9 Ronan Keating Lost For Words Nov 2003 2 Ronan Keating She Believes (In Me) Feb 2004 5 Ronan Keating & Leann Rimes Last Thing On My Mind May 2004 2 Ronan Keating I Hope You Dance Oct 2004 2 Ronan Keating & Yusuf Father And Son Dec 2004 6 Ronan Keating & Kate Rusby All Over Again Jun 2006 15 Ronan Keating Iris Aug 2006
  6. Well the RDS outdoor arena is for 35,000 so it will be quite a good sized audience to play to in Ireland.
  7. Well they have been confirmed to support Boyzone at the RDS outdoor arena in Dublin. SUGABABES announced as Special Guests to BOYZONE News last updated: 10-03-2008 Having just released extra tickets due to public demand, Boyzone have confirmed SUGABABES as their Special Guests when they play Dublin’s RDS Arena, Saturday 28 June, subject to license. Tickets Priced from 69.50euro incl. booking fee are on sale now. http://www.mcd.ie/home/fn.php?c=7364312&am...one&cat=all
  8. Isn't it right that he should look up to someone that gave him an opportunity as a boy of 15, despite what you may personally think of Louis Walsh he did give him a huge break. Yes they fell out on a professional level however Ronan is a practicing Christian and is obviously able to accept an apology and not hold a grudge life's too short and all that. You probably don't understand the art of forgiveness 5 years on and you still hold grudges about Gareth Gates and anyone else that has dared to bad mouth Will  You are right Ronan didn't have a good year in the UK but remember the music industry has changed in the last couple of years, there are less places to promote singles and albums., Will may find it a different place when he eventually comes back (I saw in the paper today that his album is now in May - well away from the heavy competition in March) May is not a good time for an album launch as Ronan found to his cost last year, there are no chat shows Parkinson has gone and Jonathon Ross will be off air, and unless you like cooking there are no programmes to go on through out the summer. He will loose out on Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Easter sales and by Xmas there will be plenty of new albums to tempt the casual buyer :D . If Will's album doesn't get off to a good start then he could well find himself in a simuar position. ;) Ronan may well have his own personal reasons for doing this tour, but I don't think money is one of them. Lets face it was making money the reason Gary Barlow returned to Take That ^_^ or is it performing for fans that they love. By the way, they are adding an extra Glasgow date, it goes on sale Monday.
  9. Well Ronan said on Jonathon Ross that it is going to be 2 new original tracks( he has been writing with Mikey Graham). As for his solo album it wasn't due till late summer 2008 anyway and he said in his interview with Neil Fox that he is still committed to releasing the album but hes now not sure whether it will still be late summer or maybe Xmas 2008. He says that they are seeing this tour as a farewell tour, however Ithings can change I guess. There is a good interview (unedited) on Magic FM (found on Neil Fox's blog) which he talks very honestly about the breakup, reunion and his future plans for anyone interested. http://www.magic.co.uk/magic.asp
  10. They are recording 2 new songs, of which one will be released as a single followed by a Greatest Hits album which will be released in March (knowing the way record labels work probably in time for Mother's Day  )
  11. And what about the 638 people selling Kylie tickets. :P Its just small fry even if these people are selling 6 tickets each then that is only 3000 tickets spread over 21 dates that isnt many, they have still done very well. Tour dates; Belfast,Odesy arena May 25 Belfast,Odesy arena May 26 London, O2 Arena – May 30 London, o2 Arena - May 31 London, Wembley Arena – June 1 Nottingham, National Ice Centre – 3 Nottingham, National Ice Centre - 4 Cardiff, CIA – 6 Cardiff, CIA - 7 Cardiff, CIA -8 Birmingham, NEC -10 Birmingham, NEC – 11 Manchester, MEN – 13 Manchester, MEN -14 Liverpool, Echo Arena – 15 Newcastle, Metro Radio Arena – 17 Newcastle, Metro Radio Arena -18 Sheffield, Sheffield Arena – 19 Sheffield, Sheffield Arena -20 Glasgow, SECC - 23 Glasgow, SECC - 24 Dublin, RDS
  12. Well at least they have proved a few people wrong on this board. There were certain people that wrote them off even before they announced their tour dates! So, they may not be as successful as Take That however a 23 date Arena tour is not to be sniffed at in the comebacks stakes.
  13. Boyzone are missing from your list they sold 330,000 copies of By Request in 1999
  14. Well at least they are not struggling to sell tickets for their tour. New dates added already for Cardiff, Nottingham, Newcastle. Birmingham and Glasgow are sold out and awaiting new dates to be added and there are very limited tickets for for O2 and Wembley left.

He'd rather work for credible artists like Westlife then: Mika to pen song for Westlife? Thursday, May 10, 2007 Will Mika pen a track for Westlife? Mika is apparently planning to pen Irish boy band Westlife a new track. The flamboyant Grace Kelly singer, whose debut album hit the No 1 spot, is also secretly working on a number of tracks for other artists, reports the Daily Star. A source said: "Mika had given pop a good kick-start again in the fun department and turned around many opinions that the scene had perhaps gone a little stale. "Westlife have been around for nine years now and want to freshen up their sound so Mika is exactly the man to do that." Westlife's most recent record The Love Album included several covers and the group have reportedly admitted they were desperate for new ideas. Band member Mark Feehily, 25, is quoted as saying: "Our preferred choice would've been to record a new studio album. Good pop doesn't fall out of trees. Not many writers are writing for pop now." Looks like Louis Walsh is running out of new ideas for stories. According to Ronan's latest entry on his website all that is planned is the Children In Need performance - although they have talked about a possible tour - there are no plans to record and his solo album is due out late summer next year.
  16. More confirmation from two of the other Boyz Posted on My space by Mikey Graham hi all , just to let you know that boyzone shall be reuniting for one night only on bbc 's children in need 16th nov for charity. kind regards. MIKEY G Posted on Stephen Gatley's message board Hello everyone Sorry for the delay in posting a message but I've not been around today. I can confirm as posted on Ronan's site earlier that Boyzone are reforming for a very special performance at Children In Need this year which I'm very excited about. I can't wait to be be back on stage with the lads again and I'm sure we'll find something fantastic to do on the show. Make sure you watch us on November 16th on BBC1 Lots of love Stephen x They all seem to think it will be a one off performance for charity - good luck to them I say.
  17. Suggy's picture is not a new one, that looks like one from 1998  The most recent pictures of all of them together was taken at Shane's wedding back in August and they were featured in OK magazine.
  18. I don't think they are desparate- were Take That, The BackSreet Boys or the Spice Girls or any other reforming bands for that matter. Keith is returning to Corrie pretty soon, Ronan is recording his new album for next year and has shows in Europe comming up, Shane seems to love his reality programmes! I think its just something they have promised their fans a long time ago. They have just recently become friends again after years of fighting, and said they would only reform for the right ocasion and for the craic. They have chosen to do this for Children In Need, so why not.
  19. ITS OFFICIAL - www.ronankeating.com Ronan has today confirmed that all 5 members of Boyzone will reform for a live performance in aid of Children In Need charity. They will perform together for the first time on the show on the 16th of November.
  20. Im sure there are lots missing from that list from wikipedia. Boyzone sold 329k of By Request in the first week and they are not there either ;)

I think its a conservative thing with Ronan and the label. He has paid back his initial solo advance and he doesn't take a huge advance on any new albums so therefore the promotion stays fairly low-key and in-budget, the off set of this is that they don't have to sell quite so many albums to make back the money they have laid out. As long as he makes a profit through sales and touring they are happy. He is also very friendly with Colin Barlow so I think he is safe at Polydor as long as he wants to be. ;) I think also his priorities have changed somewhat now, spending time with his 3 kids and playing golf

He has just come back from LA last week where he was recording, he has also spent time in Nashville working with Keith Urban, the new album is planned for spring 08. His last album sold over 600,000 worldwide so I'm sure he will be back!
  23. You may well consider the guy an idiot, however he certainly knows how to get maximum publicity - and that is what he is the master of  By slagging off other artists he will get into every newspaper and will be quoted for weeks and every time his name is mentioned then so too are the names of his own acts that he is working to promote. Promotion is costly so this extra publicity is priceless. What ever you say about this slimeball his acts have been very successful. If you add up all the sales of both singles and albums here and abroad of all his acts both past and present then I'm sure it would run in to millions of units shifted not bad for a "fool" of a manager ;)

The interesting thing is that they are both beaten by the Spice Girls. Boyzone tie with Westlife with 7 despite having produced less albums. You could of course add Robbie's awards and that would leave everyone standing even if you added Ronan's 4 to Boyzone's tally, that would put TT first, SP second, BZ third and Westlife would trail behind in fourth place. Hope this helps
