Andy Abraham Officially Dropped
Poor Andy. However just to clarify there are not a few concerts in Brighton with Ronan only just the one show, and it is a Charity event. Ronan has an arena tour in Asia in May and will be heading to Australia later in the Summer to tour there. Because of this he is only doing in 2 summer shows in the UK the one in Brighton and another in the Isle of Mann. He is also doing 3 concerts in Germany and 2 in Switzerland all in June. At the start of the year he did an arena tour in South Africa. On top of that he is also running the London Marathon on the 22nd of April he is raising money for Cancer Researh - not bad for someone going down the pan, I'm sure he will survive  To Sponcer Ronan visit http://www.justgiving.com/ronan

Boyzone to reform
Teaming up for a huge charity concert with The Spice Girls according to This Is London http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/music/articl...nite/article.do Spice Girls to reunite By Jonathan Prynn, Evening Standard 16.02.07 The Spice Girls are set for a huge reunion concert this autumn - six years after they split. All five former members of the Girl Power phenomenon are said to be agreed in principle to a charity concert in London followed by a national tour. The reunion comes after the success of the Take That revival. The girls would appear with Nineties band Boyzone, who are also reforming, according to industry figures. "They are really keen to do it if there is a charity angle. They are talking about doing it for Bono's Red campaign. It's been on the cards for a while, at least a couple of months. They are all good friends now," said one source. Senior executives at TV production company Emap TV, who want to broadcast the concert, are flying to Los Angeles this weekend for detailed talks with Simon Fuller, the band's former manager, who still represents Victoria Beckham. One sticking point is said to be their £ 2.5 million- a- head demands for the broadcast rights to the charity concert and tour. Ticket receipts for the concert itself would go to charity. Details of the concert are still being negotiated but it would have to be after the birth of Baby Spice Emma Bunton's first baby in the summer. Scary Spice Melanie Brown is also due to give birth in March. Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell had a daughter, Bluebell Madonna last May. The fifth member is Sporty Spice Melanie Chisholm. The plans involve a concert at a huge London venue, possibly Hyde Park, in September or October. It will be 11 years after the Spice Girls exploded on to the pop scene with their debut single Wannabe, still the biggest selling single by an all-female group. A further eight No 1s followed before they broke up in February 2001 after record sales of 55 million. Halliwell left the band in 1998. The Beckhams are close to U2 front man Bono, whose Red campaign raises money to help victims of Aids. Last year David appeared in a TV advert for the Motorola's Red Razr mobile phone, which generates a contribution to the charity every time it is used. There have been a succession of rumours about a reunion, particularly at the time of the Live 8 concert in 2005. Earlier this month Beckham, Bunton and Halliwell were spotted having dinner together at Nobu restaurant in London, leading to renewed speculation. Bunton was recently asked about a reunion on the Richard and Judy TV show and replied: "I would love to. Even the other girls have said they'd love to do it. It would be great."

Boyzone are back !
Hmmm I think this is just Louis Walsh's wishful thinking now that Ronan is actually talking to him again after Louis appologised to him. :P However, there is a rumour that they have signed up to do and ITV documentry on the style of the Take That one last year, but a tour is a little premature as for new material don't hold your breath. Ronan is on tour in South Africa at the moment and is touring Asia in March with Australia, New Zealand, Middle East and Europe after that. He is also in training for the London Marathon in April so not too sure where he'd fit in a Boyzone tour this year! The other stumbling block is Keith Duffy, Ronan and he are still not on "real" speaking terms although Ronan is friendly with the other 3 ;) It may well happen one day, but untill Ronan actually announces tour dates himself I won't believe it :P

Will in South Africa.
Yeah you are right Gill Ronan's sales for this album in the UK have been very dissapointing. Its very difficult when there are so few music shows to appear on at the moment. He also didn't have the luxury of the Xmas sales or Valentines Day , or the Parky effect added to that Polydor spent very little on the promo and airplay has been c**p. So with all that against him its surprising that he sold as much as he did. However in saying all that this album did better round the world than the last studio album so I guess its swings and roundabouts. Billings at these kind of charity events are not usually about current sales though are they? Its about respect for the artist. In his career he has sold 21million albums and that will always be taken it to consideration. There are plenty of artists that don't sell as much as Will did with his current album, but that doesn't mean Will would automatically be above them in any bill. ;) The charts are c**p at the moment with downloads a top 10 can not be guaranteed even with a healthy fan base. You never know Will may find it just as hard when it comes to releasing his next album. ;) You also say its no surprise that Ronan was the headline act in South Africa, but reading through I thought it was you was saying all along that Will was topping the bill at all the shows because he was the one on all the posters, so I guess it did become a bit of a surprise to you aye! Still lets not be bitchy aye I thought that you and I were friends Gill, I guess I was wrong :( I

Will in South Africa.
Sounds like Ronan picked the best time to come on when there was the biggest captive audience. At these kinds of functions a headline act doesn't always have to come on last, they just get to choose the best possible time slot...........unless he said to Will "its okay mate, I know I'm headlining the show, but I'll let you go on last tonight" Anyway sounds like a great show I wish I was there.

Delta to perform in London
Ronan presented The Sun's podcast this weekend and talked about the charity ball he is hosting and said his friends Brian and Delta were going to perform on the night. He was out in drinking in Dublin last week with Brian and was with them both in London at the News of The World kids awards (the photograph was in todays paper of them all together). So I'm pretty sure that it will happen. ;)

Delta to perform in London
Hmm I don't know whether it can be seen as a re-launch of her career in the UK, it maybe that her and Brian are performing as a favour for a friend because Brian is a close friend of Ronan's. At least it will be a little bit of publicity for her and that will help to re-establish her here again.

Delta to perform in London

Delta will be performing along with Brian Mcfadden and others. You will need to raid your piggy banks to afford the tickets though ;) You can buy a table for 10 people for £5,000 :o However you can invest a bit less and buy a copy of OK mag who will be covering the event. Brian McFadden - A hit afterall?
I hear that Brian Mcfadden's song "Demons" has been picked up by the producers of "Lost" and has been receiving rave reviews already when it was shown on series 3. I must say it does fit in perfectly. Could this prove to be a hit for Brian at last.

Westlife - The Love Album
You Raise Me Up is a great song, but it didn't get that much radio airplay at first, so being featured on X Factor every week must have had a positive effect on the overall sales of this single and album. Simon and Louis will feature Westlife as much as possible, you mark my words!
-
Westlife - The Love Album
Its interesting that last nights X Factor programme featured All Or Nothing and Easy both songs are set to be on the WL love album. We all know how big a part the X Factor played in the success of Westlife's You Raise Me UP last year, so I wonder how many of the album's track listing will appear on the show over the next few weeks. This show is like one massive advert for Westlife! I can imagine this album being massive, unfortunately.

Ronan Keating - Iris
I read that article and it's pretty much a hatched job done by someone with a huge chip on their shoulder (a friend of Louis Walsh I believe), she certainly wasn't too bothered at getting her facts right. He doesn't promote or tour in Ireland and the radio stations didn't play the single so it was hardly surprising that it didn't do well there. His album went top 10 in most of the European countries it was released in, as well as Australia, New Zealand, Asia so I'm sure he won't too bothered about the Irish market, I don't think he will be signing on just yet!
-
Ronan Keating - Iris
Well the single may not be doing well in the chart, but at least it's perked up the album, massive jump last week and was sitting just outside the top 20 in the midweeks, so people are buying the album instead which I'm sure will please the label more than whether or not the single goes top 10 <_< The label were fore-warned though, a lot of UK fans were not happy about him releasing Iris as a single (too well known), they were also not happy with the Track list (no new songs on either disk). They also aren't habitual downloads:rolleyes: I downloaded his live acoustic version of the song on I-Tunes its different, but very good, better than the recorded version actually.

Dooley's Web log - T4 's On The Beach
I thought this was interesting from Music Week - who are the current "in" thing and who are yesterday's heros: June 19, 2006 T4 on Busta's bitch Being at T4 On The Beach yesterday gave Dooley a very salutary lesson in what "the kids" are up to these days. And what an illuminating update it turned out to be. Before we settle down to the facts, though, some conclusions. A) Dooley's tastes are, sad to say, not particularly down with the kids. They occasionally intersect - and if you feel so inclined you could make a very tasty Venn diagram of the two - but generally the kids and Dooley are at odds. Sigh. And B) the world of reality TV is a cruel, cruel beast. There you are, one moment topping the charts with a record breaking single, and the next thing you know the kids are deserting your gig in droves in a bid to avoid the post-party rush, having just screamed their heads off at some dodgy ska pop band, the lead singer of whom just happened to have spent a month in the Big Brother House flirting with a non-celebrity. It never happened to Cliff, now did it? So: to business. It's official, the kids love: Lily Allen (and quite right too - her double bill of LDN and Smile was the day's undoubted pop highlight). Basement Jaxx Busta Rhymes (although points off for singing a song about your "bitch" Busta. It's live TV for crying out loud). McFly (although less than they used to). Ne-Yo (very slick). Pussycat Dolls (who waved very nicely). Razorlight (a surprise). The Zutons. The Feeling. Orson (who made Dooley go all queasy). Matt Willis. The Ordinary Boys (who were probably the most screamed at). Hard-Fi (and so do their dads). Sadly, though, the kids do NOT love: Dannii Minogue (although she really put her back into it. And the tabloids loved her). Embrace (despite the sky being a very Embrace shade of grey). Feeder (although Martin from Eastenders LOVES them so that's OK). Pet Shop Boys (sad to say - but Dooley loved them AND they played West End Girls, providing the best song of the day). Simon Webbe (Blue seems a long way away). Shayne Ward (worryingly for him). Will Young (fame, fame, fatal fame). http://blog.musicweek.com/2006/06/t4_on_bu...bitch.html#more
