A new version of the satellite importer has now been uploaded and The Main Chart Tracker Elite Download has also been updated with the importer. I will today be uploading a tutorial for the format your xl sheet should be in. and have a basic tool working to import data from ANY XL book OR CSV File. This tool wont care what names you use in your sheet as long as the first row contains the row names and each name is less then 50 Characters. There is one limit with importing/Exporting to XL or CSV that is 63K rows so if you have a sheet with more rows you will need to split it so each sheet is less than 63K rows. I will later today upload some pictures and tutorials for this tool which will be part of the satellite importer version 1.2 If you spreadsheet is formated with the record stats and not basic weekly charts this will not be able to be used by CT even though with this tool it could import them. This will enable you to use your own data and should your data be in access or another database format then I will add info on how you can add the charts to CT All Tutorials for CT Are HERE

Due to the number of user's now using chart Tracker Elite We have installed a new download script and have started uploading selected charts. We are unable at this to to include the full US and UK National charts but do have plans to at a later date which will become available via an upload/download tool which is currently under construction within CT. Membership is required to download or upload charts Please note we will Ban any user should they attempt to add the UK/US National Charts IE Singles, Albums these charts will be added only with the approval of the powers that be. Sorry davidobowie This is so far beyond works, works is a flat file system where this program is a fully relational system that can hold 3 million chart details plus another 12 million other details plus link into the file systems for it's picture gallerys and the music player that is to be added. After a total of 8 years learning and developing each version I am now happy to be able to tell you I will be releasing the first beta version of CT on Sunday 4th February 2007. This version is for Access 2003 (It will not work with 2007) Should you require a 2002 version please post a request should there be enough to warrant compiling that version I will Advise as to when it will become available. This has been my own personal system for a number of years And as such will be updated to include addition features like a player, more Imports\Exports for things like Disks\Tracks and once the server side of CT comes online there will be the ability to upload and download info and pictures. One other thing as I Said I'll be updating the supprt forums to give as much help between now and it's release that way people will stand a chance of getting it and not getting completly lost.

It will depend on how long it takes me to compile it and move all the data and now I have fixed the date thats the latest if I can get it all sorted before I will as I've just released another project I can't manage support for two but it seems the other project has very few support questions or problems. to be honest with the number of years Thats been put into this and after talking to another user We decided it was well over due I just don't know how long in will take to create a user copie of a db that holds well over 3 million entrys it could be weeks months but it will be before the date I set. plus I wanna see how much interest there is in what my friends call may labour or love. mick

Hi All A release date has now been confirmed for the full release Of Chart Tracker Beta 1. I will be making this project available for download as a full Beta Version On or just before the 1st July 2007 but A Sampler\Demo will be available around the end of jan 07 so you can play with the features and learn a few of the tricks and also there is a support team being put into place for this project at the link below AND IT IS COMPLETELY FREE BUT YOU USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK YOU WILL NEED MS ACCESS 2002\3 as there will be two versions available depending on your version of office As some will know this project has been under development for a number of years and may feel like me it's well over due for release. There will be a complete list of artists\Groups and also all Recordings for said groups currently on my system which will make importing charts a piece of cake but it will be a large download as it contains 4 main Data files and Up to 6 Satellite data files plus the main UI's but the system handles everything there so you Really don't need worry bout that. Thanks to those who PMed me I'll look at each and be intouch hopefully by the weekend. And feel the fever don't despair mate you never know whats round the next corner but all I'll say is If it was to comback then it will make an impresion that you can be sure so it would be worth waiting for.
