  1. It was sort of bad timing with Alicia Keys's pregnancy and her album singles. I think that Wait Till You See My Smile and Unthinkable were both released as joint singles at Christmas but she didn't promote at all. Put It In A Love Song would have made a great Summer song as well. I think that nearly all the ballads on The Element Of Freedom should have been singles. Here's what I felt she should have released in order: 1. Doesn't Mean Anything 2. Empire State Of Mind Part II (wasn't intended as a single and was only out in UK I think) 3. Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart 4. Put It In A Love Song (with Beyonce) [Released June-August] 5. Unthinkable (I'm Ready) [Released November] 6. Wait Till You See My Smile or Distance & Time [Released March]

I think that the timing of the second album is cruicial to it's success. The Ting Tings have left it too late and have been basicaly forgotten. (Their 2nd albums out in June) btw, The Saturdays second album may have done badly, but Ego and Missing You were big hits. Also I agree there was only 1 succesful Script single from their new ablum but the album made it to #1 and sold well as did For The First Time.

Well they were performing on Friday Download (CBBC show), Koko Pop recently, and they are sponsors of Keeping Up With The Kardashians on 4Music. Just realized that Dionne Bromfield (who co-incidently presents Friday Download) has her new song out this week! :yahoo: but it won't chart :nocheer: airplay has been badly timed (Radio 1 picked it up only a couple of weeks ago) and she hasn't been given much promotion. Also its quite a cra* song! : :( Hope her album does well But if she, Birdy and Soundgirl all make it to the top.40 it would probably be the first time in ages there have been 3 under 18 acts in the Top.40! :o

The video premiered a few days ago so I'm guessing it's the next single :D

I know, but it was a song from 2008 that has been like "forgotten" and hardly has had any airplay in last month or anything. So I would have expected Parade and SoundGirl to have overtaken it!

the only new entries in the top.300 that I could find: 105. Jason Derulo - Don't wanna go home 235. Vato Gonzalez - Badman Riddin (Jump) <_< :o where are you Parade and SoundGirl!!! :???: they're even behind songs released i'n 2008!

Not hopeful start from the new entries at the moment, normally at this time the ones heading for the top.10 have made it into the top.100. Guess it's the end of Finish Line being i'n the top 100 :( I think it's done really well though for Yasmin

Perfumes a bit of a dissapointment after 'Louder', seems they're trying to go i'n some direction with the video. I think Soundgirls songs a great Summery one and they're only 14-17! Theyve been getting over 1000 radio plays but not from radio 1. perfmormed on cbbc, had sample of their song played EVERY time on a 4music programme like Keeping up with the kardashains so Im sure they'll be i'n the top.40! :D as for badman riddim..... (couldn't find appropriate smiley!)

Kind of off-topic but has anyone heard the new Cher Lloyd song? Swagger Jagger :o dont know if she's being serious with this song, it sounds like a lullabye in the chorus (or like that Oh My Darling Clemantine)!!

I don't think that Simon handles his acts well now tbh. If I was a contestant on the X Factor and had a deal with Syco or a different yet still famous label, I'd take that won. I just feel they do a better job with them. Sure, Leona had a No.1 in USA, but her second album hasn't done great. There's also a very long list on the dropped/left. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syco If he hadn't signed Cher Lloyd, Matt Cardle and 1D he'd only have 7 out of the 21 (18 excluding the ones i have just listed) he's signed.

Suprised noone's mentioned Christina Aguilera's Bionic. It dropped from #1 - #29 breaking a record.

I can't decide whether I want Bounce or Spaceship at no.1 :/ both are sort of tuneless but catchy and sort of addictive! I think tinchy and dappy would break some record for a second no.1 collaboration?

If Kylie, Dionne and Wonderland all make it to the Top.40 this week I will be very happy 100% with the chart this week for once! :) Right now I'm glad for the 3 already in. Also LMFAO & Natalia Kills - Champagne Showers I think it's called
