Well, Sunday chart should be interesting. The CIN is currently number 1 on iTunes Album chart. Though, when Terry said "download chart", I thought it was singles.

  3. Well deserved club number 1 for Kesha! Robbie really dropped a lot!
  4. I'm not sure if there was any "twist" for a number 1 single this year. But, there are times where there was a sudden twist, where a single overtakes another song which we were sure that was going to be number 1. So, while we are (almost) certain that X Factor alumni or current contestants are set for number 1 singles, I want to ask this. Which single(s) do you WANT to see at number 1 as a "twist" on the singles chart during November and December this year? Also, poll question, will there be a "twist" number 1 single during November and December 2009?
  5. Oh. That song deserves to be placed higher. Still impressive considering it wasn't an official single release (well, yet ;) ).
  6. 17 weeks at Top 10 for BEP!!!!! Wow! Could they make it 20 weeks? Probably.
  7. Which Lady GaGa song made number 83?
  8. UPDATED: According to the UK release schedule, Owl City's song "Fireflies" is releasing on February 15. The song peaked number 1 at Billboard Hot 100, how will this song fare in the UK? 9. Since X Factor alumni acts (and judge) are taking over (and will again next week) the charts, I want to ask this question. Hypothetically, if ALL four X Factor Alumni acts released their singles on the same week, who would have won? Also, bonus question. Since ALL four singles are either selling well or will sell well (in case of Leona next week), which of the four singles will have the highest sales figure by end of 2009? Even though they released on different dates, Cheryl is outselling Alexandra at the moment, but it could change...
  10. I already did a few weeks ago! :D I just want to see what other people are thinking (and hoping for) about the OCC's soon-to-be new site. Oh yeah! I didn't really think about that. Silly me.
  11. If you've been to the OCC site lately, they are announcing that the site is having an extreme makeover (actually, it said "New Website Coming Soon"). Also, they conducted a survey on what we are hoping to see on the brand new site. So, just for fun, I want to ask these kinda strange questions: 1. Will we see the physical singles chart (at least for Top 10 or 20)? 2. Will they have a search engine like Billboard website - making it even searchable for smaller tracks (eg. a song which peaked at number 71, 5 years ago)? 3. Will they have airplay charts (TV/Radio/Both)? 4. Will Upfront Club Top 40 charts and other club charts be there? 5. Will they have just the official charts or will they have iTunes, Napster, mobile download charts? 6. Will they include music video clips? 7. What things would you hope from the new OCC site? I know it's a bit silly, but I just felt like asking these questions, since OCC is getting a facelift.
  12. Number 2 at best. I really want to say number 1, but because of the X Factor hype...
  13. Yay for Beyonce! She finally reached Top 10 with Sweet Dreams!
  14. Top 10 for Beyonce?
  15. Thanks. I hope Beyonce can reach 1 million with I am Sasha Fierce! I'm thought the album reached 900k, but not exactly sure. 859k is still good though.
  16. According to BPI, Beyonce's third album "I am Sasha Fierce" has been certified 3 times platinum, which denotes sales over 900,000 copies. I'm wondering, has the album sold over 1 million copies yet? What is her sales figures for "I Am Sasha Fierce"? Also, what are her sales figures for singles "Sweet Dreams" and "Broken-Hearted Girl"? Thanks in advance.
  17. Last year, Alexandra Burke's song "Hallelujah" was declared number 1 single of 2008. So far, Lady GaGa has the Top 2 lead for 2009, with Poker Face charging out in front with over 800k. Just Dance is not too far behind with over 730k. Cheryl Cole has 293k and Alexandra Burke has 309k. BEP is number 3 of the year so far with just over 640k. Still selling strong and STILL inside the top 10. With the X factor charity single (AGAIN!??!?!?!) releasing next month and the X Factor Winner's Christmas single, I'm wondering. Does Lady GaGa still have a chance at number 1 single of the year or will another single take over? The answer may be simple or difficult than we might think.
  18. I know that. That is why I said at the beginning APART from the Dee-Lite/Steve Miller thing at the sub-title of the forum. Also, zero is not really a gap, in my opinion.
  19. Poor Kate Nash. She had two close chances...
  20. First of all, big apologies if it has been asked before. I'm just wondering what has been the closest gap between number 1 and 2 single. This year, I remember Pixie Lott ("Boys and Girls") beating David Guetta ("Sexy Chick") by just over 1000 copies to reach number 1. I know there has been closer gaps, but when was it? I know that there was the tie thing with the Dee-Lite and The Joker song. The Joker song won by pending on sales increase that week. To make things interesting, what has been the farthest gap between number 1 and 2 song (since Alexandra Burke feat. Flo Rida ("Bad Boys") doubled Robbie Williams' single ("Bodies") to reach number 1)? Apologies again if this has been asked before. Tried searching it on this forum and couldn't find it.

Remember the girl who sang in Flo Rida's "Right Round"? Well, she has her own solo single called "Tik Tok". Currently, the single is planned for a release in 30 November. Another single releasing on the same date is Pixie Lott's third single, "Cry Me Out". Right now, it is number 1 in NZ! Source: http://rianz.org.nz/rianz/chart.asp and http://charts.org.nz/showitem.asp?interpre...k+Tok&cat=s But how will this fare in the UK? 23. From time to time, we get singles which are number two or three on midweeks, then improves to number one by Sunday. But was there ever a case where a single starts off in a top 10/20 (or lower) position in midweeks then goes to the top on Sunday? Was there ever a surprise like that before? Just wondering.
  24. zD_rhcyeA5w New song from Bob Sinclar with the rap group The Sugar Hill Gang. Within only a few weeks of release, it is already Top 10 in Belgium - Flanders, Top 20 in Netherlands and Top 30 in Belgium - Wallonia. Any thoughts?
  25. I love Fedde! I love his music! Can't wait for his album to come out!
