  1. Just wondering, if you download a music video from iTunes or other British music site which you can buy music videos, which chart does it count towards? I'm not talking about airplays. I'm talking about purchasing a music video from iTunes and/or other music sites. Does music videos have their own chart or not? If not, will the OCC have their own music video sales chart in the future? Will it count towards the singles chart? Do you know if any other country/countries have a music video sales chart?
  2. Happy Birthday Mart!n! :yahoo: :yahoo: :D
  3. UIK-U6ZfyYE Physical Release Date: 25th May Other notable singles releasing on that date: Flo Rida feat Wynter – Sugar, Röyksopp feat Robyn - The Girl & The Robot, Stunt – I’ll Be There, The Veronicas – Untouched The Black Eyed Peas are back with their new single "Boom Boom Pow". Currently number 1 in the US and Canada and also started to chart in European countries. So, how will this song perform in the UK?
  4. UPDATE: Here is the official video! SDjOvA7ZDbA
  5. As Girls Aloud's "Untouchable" is set to hit Top 10 this week (despite being number 11 on the mids), I want to ask these questions. 1. Who has the most consecutive Top 10 singles in the UK? 2. Who has the most collective Top 10 singles in the UK? 3. Who has the most consecutive Top 20 singles in the UK? 4. Who has the most collective Top 20 singles in the UK? 5. Does "Theme to St. Trinian" count towards Girls Aloud's official single release or not? If not, having over 20 consecutive Top 10 hits is really good. EDIT - I wrote "which single" when I was supposed to write "who". This is what happens when you feel a bit tired and a bit out of focus. I had a late night.
  6. UPDATE: Here is the official video! SDjOvA7ZDbA After the disappointing peak of number 27 for "Thinking of You", Katy Perry has a new single called "Waking Up in Vegas", which is the fourth single from her debut album "One of the Boys". Where will it peak? Will it do as well as "I Kissed a Girl" and "Hot n Cold"?
  7. Original version: X-6Nbk9Anjs Wideboys remix: GWo8zYiu6zA With Just Jack entering the charts with the single "Embers" this week (at number 17), I thought I would his earlier song "No Time". The song was released on September 2007 and it just missed out on being officially charted, by peaking at number 76! The music video for the song parodys the 2004 film "Anchorman". So, could it have charted higher?
  8. I think it's with "Ego".
  9. zy3UeQjILHU Beyonce's third album, as you all know, has two sides. One is Beyonce and the other is her alter ego "Sasha Fierce". In the US, when Beyonce released "If I Were A Boy", she also had "Single Ladies", not as a double A-side, but as a separate single. When releasing "Halo", "Diva" was also released, again as a separate single. In the UK, "If I Were A Boy" was released and made it to number 1. "Single Ladies" was initially not an official single release. But, it performed strongly on download sales and eventually managed to be released officially, with a physical CD release. So, I'm wondering, with "Halo" releasing on 13 April, could "Diva" repeat the success of "Single Ladies" and get an official release? Also, if it does, where could it chart?
  10. Right. I'm making this new poll called "Could it have charted higher" (weird name, I know). Basically, the premise is that you discuss a certain past song (in the forum post) which didn't peak inside the Top 40 (UK charts only, obviously) to see whether or not it should have charted higher. After all, there are some songs where people felt it should have charted higher. This is the first time, so it's basically a trial. If it goes well, I might do some more. The songs qualify if they were released in June 2008 or earlier in the UK. 8N-Mbafycow Today's song is Milky - In My Mind. Milky's debut single "Just The Way You Are" was a smash hit in 2002 peaking at number 8. Their second single "In My Mind" was released in December 2002 and it only peaked at number 48. In my opinion, it peaked quite low and it should have charted a bit higher, Top 20 at least. Any opinions? I'm not sure if in polls on Buzzjack you have to answer ALL poll questions or not (hence "I voted "No" on the first question, sorry." option was there for the second question). Can you let me know? The topic may not be perfect, but at least I'm giving it a go.
  11. buzz_person posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
I know that Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" made a return to number one before in 2006, and it now look like Flo Rida's "Right Round" might do that this week. So, I am wondering, how many current/first release (is that the right word?) (at the time) singles and/or what singles made a return to number one? This is NOT counting re-releases.
  12. Original French Version: hdJN0ss7jA0 English Version (Embed was disabled): According to New Release Schedule, Kate Ryan's single "Ella Elle L'a" is set to be released in April. It was already released in Europe last year and it performed well. The single peaked at #2 in the Netherlands (#5 on another Dutch Single Chart) and Sweden. It was also a Top 10 hit in Belgium (Flanders), Norway and Germany. In the UK, it is currently #11 in the UK Upfront Club Charts. So, where will it chart? UPDATE: I have just found the English version of the song.
  13. I'm giving this poll a try to see if it works. Hope it does. People are saying how this week's chart is mainly Kelly Clarkson (for single - My Life Would Suck Without You) vs Taylor Swift (for single - Love Story) for the number one spot (although Kings of Leon might be still in the running after the Brits). So, regardless of whether Kelly or Taylor gets to the number one spot or not, let's predict this. Who will win (chart higher) AND by how many copies? Or, could there be a twist by both singles selling the same amount?
  14. lq2EuHIt2p0 Release Date: March 9th After the success of "Cry For You" which peaked at number 5, September has a new song called "Can't Get Over". It was already released in Sweden and Finland two years ago, reaching top 10 in both countries. It was also released in the Netherlands early last year. The video is for the UK release. So, where will the song chart?
  15. On the New Realease Schedule (Physical) post, it's listed under 3rd Nov.
  16. Really? Didn't realise it. Still, it's a fun poll!
  17. From the champion of Strictly, to the comeback of the ladies who have ruled the charts, November 3 is the physical release date where all five ladies compete for the number 1 spot! So, who will win? Note: Britney Spears' "Womanizer" has a November 9 release on downloads, apparantly. I wanted to put her on, since she might do very well and could even reach number 1 only by downloads. If there is any change, let me know.
  18. The Kooks' new single made a massive jump from number 71 to 3! That's 68 places up! Is this the biggest chart jump ever for a Top 75, or was there even a bigger jump? Also, as a bonus question, what song has made the biggest jump for the whole Top 200?
  19. Now with music video!!!!
  20. So, Duffy and Adele are two biggest breakthrough artists of 2008 - and I am sure there will be plenty of new artists to come out this year. Both their debut singles did really well in the UK and Europe, and both their albums have topped the UK charts. So, I am asking two question: 1. Who will sell more in 2008 (singles & albums combined)? 2. Who is better? Just asking. Chart details: Duffy's chart details (for both singles & albums): http://acharts.us/performer/duffy Adele's chart details (for both singles & albums): http://acharts.us/performer/adele
  21. TKjEBYojgcQ Now with music video!
  22. Also, Kylie performed In My Arms at the NRJ Music Awards in France last Saturday, so it should chart well there.
  23. Wow (2nd single release - UK; 3rd single release - Europe): xkBca_wCue8 In My Arms (3rd single release - UK; 2nd single release - Europe): ut6ipiVkyas As you all know, Wow will be released in the UK as Kylie's second single and In My Arms as her third. Elsewhere in Europe, it's the opposite (I am pretty much certain it is). Fortunately, Kylie has two new videos out for BOTH Wow and In My Arms. Because it's from Youtube and it's released today, I am not certain if the videos will stay long. So, enjoy them while it's there. Wow can be also found via Perez Hilton's site: http://perezhilton.com/2008-01-30-kylie-world-premiere UPDATE: Current world chart positions for Wow and In My Arms! - For Wow: http://acharts.us/song/31284 For In My Arms: http://acharts.us/song/31556
  24. Wow, it's close between some songs!
  25. Wow, it looks close so far!
