Chart Flashback: O-zone - Dragostea Din Tei
Link: http://acharts.us/song/1600 We all knew how popular the song was. But, I did not realise that it was going to be THAT huge! 13 weeks at number 1 in Austria, 14 weeks in Germany and Switzerland and 15 weeks in France! I mean, that is really long for a song to be at the top of the charts. It did well in the UK as well, peaking at number 3.

Spice Girls London Concert sold out in 38 SECONDS!
Link: http://www.heatworld.com/Article.aspx?arti...t+in+38+seconds! Now, this is where I start to wonder: How is 38 seconds possible? Even through the power of internet it seems impossible. It must be an exaggeration. I mean the arena has tens of thousands of seats!

Nelly Furtado - In God's Hands: Where did it chart?
I heard that the song In God's Hands was going to be released in the UK about a couple of months ago, but I don't think I've seen it in the Top 75. Also, can't remember when it was released either. So, anyone know if it charted? If not, did it make the Top 200 anyways?

Interesting chart move this week on the UK singles Chart!
1. Sugababes are number 1 solely on downloads (making them the fourth artist ever to do so - after Gnarls Barkley, Mika and Rihanna), big jump from 35-1 (is it the second or third highest jump to No. 1 within Top 75?, let me know). 2. NONE of the HSM2 songs are in the Top 20. Last year, Breaking Free made it to number 9. 3. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars: STILL in the UK Top 75 at number 75! It's their 56th week in the charts. Anything else?

2007 Track of the Year (Round Robin 1/20) - CLOSED
Here's how it goes. It may sound strange, but it will work (I hope). Every Sunday and Wednesday, I put up ten songs on the list. Just like Soundclash and TRL, you vote for your favourite. The Top 5 most voted will remain in the poll, whilst the lower half (6th-10th) will be eliminated. This will continue on until November 28 (The final round robin) - which totals to 20 round robins. Here are further rules for this Round Robin: 1. If the song you see is not on the list, feel free to nominate a song or two and I might put it on on the next stack. 2. The song(s) you nominate MUST be released in 2007. 3. Once the song is out of the Top 5 (or is eliminated), it cannot re-enter. 4. If the song is in the Top 5, it will be rewarded points based on placings (eg. 1st = 5 pts, 2nd = 4pts etc.) 6th-10th will get 0. 5. So that the "favourites" won't drag on the round robin too much, a song in the Top 5 can be in the Top 5 for five times maximum. Then, it will be "retired" until the semi-finals. After 20 Round Robins, this is what will happen in Semi-finals (November 29 - December 3 (poll round) December 4 - 9 (semi-finals)): 1. All the songs which have been in the Top 5 (current, former and "retired") will automatically be considered for the semi-finals (this will give fair advantages to the songs in the later RRs). 2. The 10 songs which have gained the most points during the Round Robin will automatically be qualified for semi-finals. Others will compete in a poll round where the Top 10 most voted will advance to semi-finals. 3. These two groups will then merge, which will make 20 songs in total. The Top 10 most voted from there will go to the Finals. At the Finals (December 10 - 16): The Top 10 will then compete and the song with the most votes will be named the "Track of the Year". OK, so hopefully this will work alright. I really hope the rules made sense. It's my first time doing this kind of thing, so go easy on it. So, vote and if your song is not on the poll, nominate and I might put it there on Wednesday. So, which song is the "Track of the Year"? VOTE (AND NOMINATE)! p.s. - I am doing this for fun, so don't go all hating and stuff. p.s. 2 - This poll is to find out the Track of the Year, so this game is not indefinite, obviously. p.s. 3 - The 10 songs that I have chosen for Round Robin 1/20 is based on the songs that I thought of from my head.
