As a child of the mid-70’s/early 80’s, I was a huge fan of Hall & Oates (who can forget “Maneater” and “Private Eyes”??!) so I was intrigued to find out that Daryl Hall just released his 5th solo album called “Laughing Down Crying.” It’s a current version of his signature style and amazing songwriting! Apparently, Hall been busy making waves as a “tastemaker” for up and coming talent as music host and executive producer of his smash hit web television series, Live From Daryl’s House. On his newest album, his voice is still as incredible as it was on “Sara Smile” many years ago and it’s an album that you can pop into the CD player and listen to with your kids. Love this song! Has anyone heard Sheryl Crow’s newest single, “Summer Day”? It’s an upbeat rock/pop/blues song—you can hear it on her website at sherylcrow dot com. I wasn’t surprised that I liked it so much since I have always loved her music! The song is coming out on her new album that will be in stores on July 20, “100 Miles from Memphis” and she is going on tour this year—tour dates and links to purchase tickets are also on her site.
