Predict: One Direction - Live While We're Young
Yes, it does rip off the guitar riff from The Clash's 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go'. However, it will be No.1, with big Sales. It will certainly give them their 3rd Week at No.1 in the Singles Chart, & their 2nd Album will give them their 1st Week at No.1, in the Album Chart.

Predict: Robbie Williams - "Candy"
It will almost certainly be his 7th UK No.1 Single. However, it reminds me of a speeded up Nursery Rhyme - perhaps 'Ring A Ring Of Roses'.

Bre - Well done for spotting One Direction's 2nd No.1 Hit. I keep forgetting that both they & JLS were credited on the 2011 X Factor Finalists No.1 - 'Wishing On A Star'. I've now added it to my original Post. 'The Sun' features an item on One Direction nearly every single day. Every move they make is talked about. You'd think that they were the biggest Group since The Beatles! Indeed, a few Weeks ago, the 'Sunday Mirror' actually called One Direction, 'The most successful UK group since The Beatles'. (These 'Journalists' feed off the hysteria that they create. They never actually do any research, to see if the hype is really true.....).

Here is a List that I up-dated a few Weeks ago, when Elton John was No.1 in the Album Chart. His Week at No.1 made him only the 8th Act to spend a Year, (or more), at No.1, in the UK. (The 9th Act, if we add Cliff Richard & The Shadows No.1 Weeks to The Shadows No.1 Weeks). THE UK's TOP 10 CHART ACTS - BY WEEKS AT NUMBER 1 (S = Singles + A = Albums) 1) BEATLES - S = 69 + A = 174.....TOTAL = 243 WEEKS 2) ELVIS PRESLEY - S = 80 + A = 63.....TOTAL = 143 WEEKS 3) ABBA - S = 31 + A = 57.....TOTAL = 88 WEEKS 4) CLIFF RICHARD - S = 46 + A = 30.....TOTAL = 76 WEEKS 5) ROLLING STONES - S = 18 + A = 45.....TOTAL = 63 WEEKS 6) MADONNA - S = 29 + A = 30.....TOTAL = 59 WEEKS 7) TAKE THAT - S = 28 + A = 28.....TOTAL = 56 WEEKS 8) ELTON JOHN - S = 23 + A = 29.....TOTAL = 52 WEEKS 9) MICHAEL JACKSON - S = 16 + A = 30.....TOTAL = 46 WEEKS 10) ROD STEWART - S = 18 + A = 27.....TOTAL = 45 WEEKS NOTE - The Shadows would be in 4th place, if we add in their No.1 Singles & Albums with Cliff Richard - S = 44 + A = 42 = 86 Weeks. I've only counted their No.1's as The Shadows, for this List. Which is enough for 15th place - S = 16 + A = 21 = 37 Weeks. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ NOTE - The 3 biggest Acts in recent Years have all been Female Soloists. The Legend Album, (Bob Marley & The Wailers), re-enters the Top 20, for the first time since W/E 16th August 2003, when it was at No.17. Despite 405 Chart Weeks, (375 Top 75), it is only its 40th Week in the Top 20. NOTE - Remember, from W/E 8th August 1981 to W/E 14th January 1989, the entire Top 100 of the Album Chart was used for UK Chart Statistics. Here are how many Weeks 4 of these 5 Albums gain, from that period. (Gold by ABBA is the only one of the 5 to have its Chart weeks soley from the Top 75. It was released in September 1992 - over 3.5 Years after the Top 100 stopped being used for Chart Statistics). The Weeks they gained from No.76 to No.100 Positions:, 1) Rumours - Fleetwood Mac - 112 Weeks 2) Greatest Hits - Queen - 62 Weeks 3) Bat Out Of Hell - Meat Loaf - 34 Weeks 4) Legend - Bob Marley & The Wailers - 30 Weeks THE TOP 5 UK ALBUMS WITH THE MOST CHART WEEKS (Various Statistics) 1) Rumours - Fleetwood Mac - 493 Weeks - (526 - Top 100)...(381 - Top 75)...(106 - Top 40)...(74 - Top 20)...(41 - Top 10)...(15 - Top 5)...(1 Week at No.1) 2) Greatest Hits - Queen - 476 Weeks - (635 - Top 100)...(414 - Top 75)...(152 - Top 40)...(47 - Top 20)...(23 - Top 10)...(13 - Top 5)...(4 Weeks at No.1) 3) Bat Out Of Hell - Meat Loaf - 474 Weeks - (506 - Top 100)...(440 - Top 75)...(244 - Top 40)...(54 - Top 20)...(2 - Top 10)...(0 - Top 5)...(Peaked at No.9) 4) Gold - Greatest Hits - ABBA - 449 Weeks - (649 - Top 100)...(449 - Top 75)...(215 - Top 40)...(100 - Top 20)...(58 - Top 10)...(29 - Top 5)...(8 Weeks at No.1) 5) Legend - Bob Marley & The Wailers - 405 Weeks - (375 - Top 75)...(104 - Top 40)...(40 - Top 20)...(20 - Top 10)...(17 - Top 5)...(12 Weeks at No.1)

UK Million Sellers Book (November)
I believe that The OCC are going to do more than just announce the 123, (so far), UK Million Sellers. There is more to it than that. It is probably going to be in November, that they reveal them all - hopefully with Sales. By then there could be more than 123. Here is the reason for the delay - a Book. I knew that Mini Essays - about each Million Seller - were being worked on. On that basis, I've just been to Amazon, & put Million Sellers into their Book Department Search Engine - and this came up. It is called The Million Sellers, & it is out in November - after being delayed from October. It only mentions 113 Million Sellers, in the Amazon description of it. Hopefully all 123, (& more?), will be in the Book, when it is published:, http://goo.gl/IkR6n

Predict: Gary Barlow & The Commonwealth Band 'Sing'
Let face it - Mr.Barlow will only be No.1 on Sunday due to the attention & hype that 'Sing' has got from the Jubilee Celebrations. Likewise for the 'Sing' Album. Neither would be No.1 if they had to get there on merit, rather than hype & publicity. 'Sing' is utter garbage. What a pity that it was not The Carpenters Hit, of the same name. That is a decent Song.

Someone called ThunderRoad, (UKMIX), has come up with Sales for the entire Top 60. No.13 to No.60 are estimates. Some of the Acts have equal Totals. iTunes Weekly Thread: W/C 3rd June 2012
Take That have had just 5 Top 10 Singles in Germany. Both The Beatles & ABBA, had over 20 German Top 10 Singles. If you look at the Take That Discography you will see that the only Countries where they have had several Top 10 Hits are the UK & Ireland, (AKA The British Isles), & Denmark - Population less than 6 Million. 'Progress' was a No.1 Album in Germany, etc. but, outside the UK its Sales were less than a Million. It sold twice as many in the UK, as it did outside the UK. I never said that Take That had never had Top 10, (or No.1 Hits), outside the UK. I said that in terms of consistent big Hits, they were not in the same League as The Beatles, ABBA, Queen etc. Their one true Mega-Hit was 'Back For Good', but that was way back in 1995. They never had another Hit close to being so big. Indeed, Take that were bigger in Europe, in the 1990's than they have been since their 2006 'Come Back'. They have only had 2 really big European Hits since then - 'Patience' & 'The Flood'. They are truly not as big as the UK makes them out to be. (Or as their Fans make them out to be). And looking at their Discography, I can't find 35 No.1 Albums for Take That. Which you are supposed to get by adding up each time one of their Albums reached No.1, in a different Country. Look at their Wikipedia Discography:, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Take_That_discography Hopefully, we can have a decent No.1 for the W/E 23rd June Chart.....

Gary is clearly after a Knighthood. I'm sure that, (eventually), he'll get one. But, I don't care what anyone says, the 'Sing' Single is one of the most awful, vacuous, flimsy, pieces of tripe, that has ever reached No.1. Hopefully it will have a huge drop in Sales, once the Jubilee Celebrations die down. A big drop from No.1 would be a nice treat for Music lovers..... I give to 3rd World Charities a lot - throughout the Year. I don't need to buy garbage Singles to contribute.... And those who go on about Gary's achievements, should realise, that most of his Hits & Songs have not reached the Top 10 in most of Europe etc. It is only the UK & Ireland, where he has had consistent success. He, is not in the same League as The Beatles, Queen, Rolling Stones, Madonna, ABBA etc. He is just a British Isles 'phenomenon' really. (That goes for Take That, too).

Top 60 best selling Singles artists EVER!
At the same time as being 'simple', the method used has not been consistent. Why have The Shadows not been given the Sales from their Hits with Cliff, where those Hits were credited to Cliff Richard & The Shadows? That is an equal credit. The Shadows would be far higher than No.58, had they been allowed those Sales. They include 7 No.1's - one of which, ('The Young Ones'), was a UK Million Seller.
-
Top 60 best selling Singles artists EVER!
Blackjane - The OCC counted Duo's as both Acts being allowed those Sales. So John Travolta & Olvia Newton-John both got the Sales from their 'Grease' Duets. (Olivia would not be as high as No.38 had that not happened). Kylie Minogue & Jason Donovan, both got the Sales from 'Especially For You'. The OCC regarded such Acts as sharing equal credit. However, if an Act was 'Featured', The OCC do not regard that Act as having equal credit, & they were not allowed those Sales. So Rihanna lost over 3 Million Sales, from Hits that she was 'Featured' on. And any Acts 'Featured' on her Hits, were not allowed those Sales. With her 'Featured' Hits added in, Rihanna would have well over 13,000,000 Sales, & she would rise from 10th place to 7th place.

Top 60 best selling Singles artists EVER!
Did anyone else notice, that Tony Blackburn seemed to misunderstand the Chart, when he got to The Beatles at No.1? Both before & after he played 'She Loves You', he announced it as the All Time Best Selling Single, in the UK. He seemed to forget that he was playing The Beatles biggest Seller, & not the UK's biggest Seller.....

Top 60 best selling Singles artists EVER!
One of my OCC 'Contacts' has explained to me that Rihanna will not be the 7th Act in Monday's Radio 2 Singles Acts Chart. She will be lower, as she will not be allocated every Hit that she's been credited on. Some of her Hits - that have not been added in - Run This Town, (No.1 in 2009), Love The Way You Lie, (No.2 in 2010), Who's That Chick?, (No.6 in 2011), & Take Care, (No.9 in 2011). Here is what he told me:, "Our chart is ranked on sales where the artist has the main artist credit – so it excludes sales where the artist has been featured. For example, Rihanna would appear lower in our chart because it doesn’t include sales where she was a featured artist". @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ It also means that Drake can't have any Sales from What's My Name?, (No.1 in 2011), & Jay-Z can't have any from Umbrella, (No.1 in 2007). Nor can Christina Aguilera have any Sales from Moves Like Jagger. Madonna can't have any from Me Against The Music, (No.2 in 2003), & Justin Timberlake can't have any from 4 Minutes, (No.1 in 2008). And many other Artists will have some of their Sales excluded too. Ironically both Kylie & Jason will get the Sales from Especially For You, as that was credited to both of them equally - the word 'And' did that. Likewise for John Travolta, & Olivia-Newton John.
-
Predict: Loreen 'Euphoria'
It will likely Peak at 1, 2 or 3, in the UK. However, I do not really like it. It sounds like dozens of other Dance Hits - from the early 1990's. It has all been done before. One day Sweden may give the World a ESC Winner as good, (and long lasting), as 'Waterloo'. Unfortunately - 'Euphoria' is not it.....
-
Top 60 best selling Singles artists EVER!
Madonna won't be No.1 - The Beatles, Elvis Presley, & Cliff Richard, have all sold more UK Singles than her. She will be about 4th.
-
Top 60 best selling Singles artists EVER!
Rihanna will be 7th in the Top 60, having over-taken ABBA, (8th & now 9th), & Queen, (7th & now 8th), in the past Year. She next has Michael Jackson in her sights - he's 6th - if I'm correct.
