I bought this and it's nice to hear the album again, some strong album tracks in as much as mid-90s pop non-singles could be good anyway. I really like All That Matters To Me, it's not far off being good enough to be a single. I like it more than Sure anyway. The live version of Every Guy is a bit ropey in terms of sound, reminds me of some of the poor quality live versions tacked onto the Spiceworld reissue - not quite as bad of course, those were embarrassing.

Bring back the official version to Spotify I say!

I was hoping this would be the case as I definitely can't afford the boxset with the CDs, but will buy the standard Bluray, looking forward to the Extras (and seeing it again ofc).

Going for Caroline, I really like what she did with Breathless, very trippy. Mariana's seems like a relatively straight retread of the original so a bit ploddy and pointless.

I was quite sure what I imagined my 12 would be when I saw the list and it hasn't transpired like that at all, loads of good discoveries here and proof that so many of these acts deserved better than to be one hit wonders. One of my most interesting discoveries is that Sounds Like A Melody was sampled by Cappella for U Got 2 Let The Music, that's such a great riff and I didn't realise it wasn't theirs until now!

Finally got rid of Ordinary 😭 It shows how huge Sabrina is right now to get a No.1 debut with a song that even has quite middling reviews. I'm not surprised at all to see it climbing again, her last couple of No.1s grew through the week I think. Pleasing to see some other new songs taking off, I wonder if we can finally throw off the lingering 2024 hits now and properly get into 2025, six months in. Looking good for Olivia Dean, I thought she'd be one of those under the radar forever acts who never managed a really big hit.

I suppose what is interesting is how much the TV oldies change every week, at least they're not showing the same songs the same number of times every single week I guess. 90s and 00s Eurodance is certainly popular, I guess that's thanks to Clubland TV.

Sabrina in the past has continued to gain momentum over the course of her first week hasn't she? I'm sure it will take off more on TikTok in the next few days and the numbers will hopefully get back up further but that's a good hold for a Sunday. Hopefully Ordinary's reign of terror is over and it can grow enough to overcome it after week one too. It's a decent track - not as good as some of her singles last year, but I'd far rather have it at the top than Ordinary. And good on her for bucking the recent trends if she can get a No.1 debut, it seems this feat will be reserved for only the biggest name comebacks now.

Gosh, I have that BTH song on a compilation somewhere, I think the release was pulled (or it missed the chart entirely). Anyway, neither is good but giving it to Shane Richie as he at least had some charisma.

Kluminican Republic return to form with yet another medal position (for a brilliant dance track) and consolidating their 10th place overall, while a great pop entry from Hushkanukia bags them our bronze medal. We are of course partial to schlager so it’s no surprise to see 12 points for Land Of DW, while – having sent a darker entry ourself this time – rock entries from Persephonia (11 points) and Séyetana (9 points) prove very popular, as does a head banger from Why So Sirius (10 points). All three of this month’s 90s dance entries of course appear in our vote, with Zanmatony leading the way (8 points) ahead of Bøtanikkä (3 points) and Terra Avium (2 points). Aeroche’s more contemporary dance anthem gets them 6 points while former winner Nora En Pure returns for A-Konohagakure and is this time awarded 4 points from the Rontvian vote.
