Poor Simon :( But he played too nice. He could really have ripped into Alex being a shirker or highlighted the way Alex and Claire spent the entire task huddled in a corner doing nothing but b**ch and giggle like evil little teenagers.

 

MUCH love to Margaret slapping Claire down and then Alex in the boardroom though.

 

The highlight of the series is fast becoming Lucinda (or Lady Ribenaberet as the Guardian have taken to calling her). Every scene she features in is comedy gold. She's so completely USELESS at everything apart from two key skills. Telling people off as soon as they try to talk to her ('Do NOT talk to my like that! HOW VERY DARE YOU!'). And dressing up as a fruit, a different one each day.

I really can't see her lasting long though. Standing there in the boardroom declaring to her prospective employer 'I am technically USELESS' sums it all up.

The NEEDS TO GO/NEEDS TO DIE QUICK list.

 

1.) ALEX - He really is a scheming little snake in the grass. He's playing the game more than anyone on the show, but tries to hide behind his innocent little boy face. The way he suddenly turned from Simon to Claire in the boardroom when he thought Claire was going to be fired...UGH.

2.) KEVIN - I honestly think he was very lucky to still be in the competition after the pub week. He was such an insufferable, delusional $h!t. And he has an irritating voice. And an irritaingly punchable face.

3.) CLAIRE - I hate loudmouth chavs on principle.

It's always difficult trying to judge who will go far in this things (Simon seemed like a frontrunner to being with). If I had to place bets though, I would go for a Michael/Jenny Maguire/Helene final. Lucinda out next.

You're right its always hard to call because one muck up and you're out, even if you are a favourite...Margaret and Nick are legendary :heehee: why try and lie to Sralan when those two are ALWAYS there in the corner watching...

I love Lucinda...despite being utterly useless she is so oddball its almost unbelievable...she seems to lack common sense and business acumen yet as long as other people work around her and she's on the winning team, she won't get booted out

I didn't like Mariah's performance either. Since she got into the R&B stuff to me she's gone downhill. I used to love her back in the 90s.

without wishing to turn this into a Mariah thread, I don't think her sound has changed *that* much since the 1990s, she's always mixed piano ballads like Hero and Without You with R&B club songs like Honey and Heartbreaker

her new album is really just a continuation of that formula

I don't think Water was the first decent song we've chosen to represent us. What about Mariana Popova? I think she was brilliant, too! (It's just an opinion.)

 

I thought that song was ok...but Water was the first 'truly brilliant' Bulgarian entry in my opinion

Listening now, its ok-ish, the original has got more beat to it.

I didn't see Graham Norton but the brilliant GMTV performance propelled her into my chart! not one of my faves from her album but nearly every track on there is pop perfection in my opinion :wub: I just love the drumming part two thirds of the way through Who's That Girl!

I only bought the Gabriella track this week, don't know why it took so long to 'click' with me! I don't think Sirusho is a dark horse, I've put my money on her :P I think she's one of the favourites :cheer:

about #19, still a 4th top 20 hit in under a year for someone written off ten years ago in the UK is sensational

I just wish her album hadn't peaked at #11
