    I've had a bit of a feeling about some of the below the belt things Sarah has said all the way through, hence me saying earlier today that I would like to see her out, but that's just a really shocking comment. Horrendous and she really needs to go. You cannot say that to people and expect it to have no repercussions.

    Did you know that his song The Angel (North London Forever) has been adopted by Arsenal as their anthem and is sung by their fans just before kick-off at each home match? It's become their equivalent of Liverpool's You'll Never Walk Alone.

     

     

    Yes, there were Arsenal fans packed out in that gig in Nottingham I saw, all waving scarves etc, and they all kept breaking into chants of this. When he sang it, it was like a religious experience for many.

    Thanks to whoever sent my 12, Is There Any Space on the Moon?, I have had this on repeat!

     

    I saw Louis Dunford live last month in Nottingham, he's fantastic, great storytelling and melodies, he has another really hard hitting song about Ben Kinsella, the teenage boy who was killed in 2008 (they were best friends). Louis is also Linda Robson's son (of Birds of a Feather and Loose Women fame).

     

    I really wanted to send him anyway, as I love his stuff so much. Billy Flynn of Bethnal Green is No.1 in my chart right now, but I redacted it in the multichart thread so I didn't give away my entry.

    On the same day last year they were 26 and 27 so that’s a much slower start.

     

    Daily numbers are also down over 20k year-on-year. I wonder if the US election is part of the delay in them getting going, doesn’t feel very festive right now.

    I think Baked Potato is a definite goner, which is a shame because she wasn't nominated by anyone, but the Nathan stuff has been cringey to watch so that's fair. Hopefully she at least will have a week for reality to hit her when she gets out and watch some of the horrendous stuff he says about people and rethink that relationship.

     

    I don't know who will be second out, could be anyone really.

     

    Such a shame Thomas, Segun and Nathan weren't up...Sarah wouldn't have been a loss for me either.

    For some reason I thought there was a studio version with different Sarah vocals I had already heard this year on the What Will The Neighbours Say? re-release, but maybe it was just on tour I heard those. Did the Electronic or TV versions use any of her different vocals?

     

    It's a really nice touch either way, I hope people support it and it can chart somewhere.

    I know it's subjective but for me B*Witched's second album singles were such a huge step down from the first album.

     

    Also, 1999 was such a transformative and fast-paced year that those six months felt a lot longer. By the time Jesse Hold On came out, it really felt like they were yesterday's news and it was such a corny song for me, but not in as charming a way as something like Rollercoaster.

     

    Another one I thought of was Mika - in the UK anyway, he continued to have success in Europe, and is still very popular in France and Italy. A definite one-album wonder here though, with a fleeting return hit in We Are Golden that was attached to an album that basically tanked compared to his debut and contained no further big hits, despite being more of the same really (but not quite as good). I actually still love him though, he's had much better albums since than that second album.

    A very good month for all of the top three but for the first time in a very long time, our overall leader République d'Áskorza does actually get our gold medal so stays well ahead of the pack *.* Danæviia smashes past the 400 points mark while a good month for FARC sees them leapfrog absent Summericia (we miss you).

    Really chuffed for Terra Avium to win even though I didn't vote for the song, or Hendinia actually, although I did give that a couple in the semi and it just missed. But RontBet did call the correct top three this time - just in the wrong order. We got Hendinia second correct at least.

     

    Glad to see Aeroche third, another brilliant entry from them. And we had Altyr down as a contender too so good to see that fourth.

     

    YASSSS at fifth, I really didn't expect that despite a couple of strong predictions. To me it kind of felt like the sort of song I wish Olly Alexander had sent to Eurovision, instead of Dizzy. So I wanted to give it a go and see, and I'm chuffed it picked up four 18s along the way. And a top three in the semi, when a lot of pop went out there - looks like the pop vote was very concentrated to a few songs. It's my first top five of the year, I thought I wouldn't get one this year!

     

    Impressive for Sovarasma to get an Afrobeats song into the top ten, wowwww. POPHub lower than expected according to the last few predictions, really thought that would be top ten, strong pop. République d'Áskorza deserved better, it was my favourite - I loved the use of silence in the song. But glad it made the top 20.
