Ultimate Survivor 14 : Round 8
Linkin Park, sorry. A fantastic track but Chase The Sun and Kids are both big personal favourites.

Round 7 : End Of Year Survivor #148
Back to Shakedown.

The Final : End Of Year Survivor #147
My heart will always be with Alice Deejay, as much as a classic Dog Days Are Over Is. I remember staying up late to hear the radio premiere of Back In My Life (for some reason it was premiered about 10pm, and I was young) and I wasn't disappointed!

Now That's What I Call Music!
With the current No.3 on Now 123. So Now has stake to two thirds of the current top three, just not on the current volume...

Have you ever heard BJSC entries in unexpected places?
I heard the remix of Reba’s Fancy that came second for Dan a few years ago in a pub earlier. Definitely have never heard that before in public, nor expected to, but as it was my 18 that contest I was very much into it.

Now That's What I Call Music!
Fair. I haven't had chance to listen yet as not at home but I noticed Go was listed in the booklet as the 'Radio Edit', which I'm pretty sure I've never even heard as don't listen to the radio so just heard the main version on Spotify.

Now That's What I Call Music!
You checked early for an album you rated 1-star? Maybe they realised the leaked early copies were harming first week sales. I bought it today in HMV, which had loads of copies which was nice to see. Also bought Ariana's album, the Eurovision 2025 vinyl (down from £55 to a bargain £20) and the Super Mario Galaxy Blu-ray - thank goodness it was payday.

The BuzzJack Friday Chart Show Thread: 31st July 2026
Yay… I actually like Rein Me In and Dai Dai the same amount more or less but was ready for something fresh. And Shakira at No.1 would have been a great story to tell as well.

Round 6 : End Of Year Survivor #148
Switching to Baha Men, it's fun and I loved the chart run at the time but it's not exactly one I love. The Cassie song is a gem.

Friday Chart Predictions
The week that Orson beat Chico and Black Eyed Peas in 2006 was a wafer thin margin for the whole top three. 17,694 / 17,365 / 17,360 The Kate Nash one will always be the worst for me, because it spent so long at No.2 and was one of the year's defining hits. I'd have happily bought 17 copies that week if I'd known, it deserved to be a chart topper.

BJSC 187: Confirmations
Yeah Luukered was an emergency placeholder that I kept in there after the drama with Fleeting. Not sure I would have sent it another time tbf, so that worked out very well (yet has cursed me ever since I fear).

I was very far back sadly but enjoyed them dancing to Wannabe.- BJSC 187: Confirmations
Flops unite! I saw Avantgardey live the other day btw, they were performing at Hyper Japan. Not Work It though sadly.- BJSC 187: Confirmations
Give it to the one who most recently flopped.- BJSC 187: Confirmations
We need to start being more inspired I fear. -- I've gone retro with a song that I think is pretty well known in one country in a cult kind of way but nowhere else, and certainly not in the UK.- Spolidifestivalen 7 - The Pop Hoe Edition
Surprised Devour is so far behind Luna, thought the former sounded like a gold plated smash!- Friday Chart Predictions
Utterly bizarre to do this in the dying hours of Thursday when it was there very easily for the taking all week, guess the label got yesterday's figures in and panicked. As I said earlier in the week though, no way they were going to sit back and do nothing, just odd it took this long. It's a shame for me because I agree that Dai Dai is unlikely to get another chance, the World Cup is becoming more of a memory each day. It's done very well to hold up as it has but I can't see it doing so for ages.- Round 8 : End Of Year Survivor #147
Madonna. Lovely production on this song but I'm less enamoured by the melody/chorus.- 00s Top 10 Sales- Week By Week- 2000
I didn’t actually know that they sampled the same track until just now. Interesting that two songs released within 12 months by very different acts decided to sample that though.- Ultimate Survivor 14 : Round 7
Would be Denial for me now, love the other three although do like Denial a lot too.- RabbitFurCoat Ranks the 2012 #1s
Nice enough yeah. I really liked Gabrielle Aplin and bought the album this came from which was very pleasant too. Her voice sounds lovely in the middle eight. I was never into Heatwave much or really much solo output from Wiley, despite liking most of what he did with Roll Deep. The chorus on this could be stronger for me really.- Friday Chart Predictions
Shakira, Robyn and Natasha top 40. Artists so good that they succeeded through all of the physical, download and streaming eras ❤️ Willing Dai Dai to stay at No.1 but also surprised Sam and his team aren’t putting up more of a fight here? Maybe the Lewis duet version has some legal reason it can’t be released to download (his label didn’t approve it?), but why is Sam not armed at this point with remixes ready to go or the instrumental or something? Anything? I still wouldn’t be surprised to see him take it though as Shakira’s team don’t seem to be doing anything.- 00s Top 10 Sales- Week By Week- 2000
I used minidisc at the time too, to record tracks off the radio and split them up so it was more like listening to a CD than a tape. -- I was always quite fond of Go Let It Out, actually I like it far more than D'you Know What I Mean and I'd have rather heard it on their reuinon tour than that, but it wasn't on the setlist as isn't considered one of their classics. The drum pattern at the start is exactly the same as Roxette's Wish I Could Fly from a year earlier.- Friday Chart Predictions
Take That seemed pretty unstoppable in the mid 90s, yet album sales wise they bettered those highs in the 00s with three consecutive studio albums that were all gigantic. Also Dido’s Life For Rent more or less matched the sales of No Angel, which I wouldn’t have expected at all. Usual rule of thumb is the second album has a far bigger opening week due to pent up hype and then quickly drops off to a far lower total. - BJSC 187: Confirmations
