Kylie Minogue ● The Singles Rate (RESULTS)
Pleasantly surprised at how highly the Body Language singles have ranked! There is justice for BL after all ^_^ Also pleasantly surprised at Music's Too Sad making the Top 40. One of my fave Kylie ballads ever.

Kylie Minogue ● The Singles Rate (RESULTS)
Wow, I cannot believe Did It Again and Giving You Up scored higher than, um, SHOCKED?!?! Or Finer Feelings, or Turn It Into Love :o The 43-46 places surprised me a bit. And Giving You Up higher than so many of the gems that landed outside the Top 50... I can't believe this is the highest rated single thus far  I'm also surprised Into the Blue hasn't been revealed yet  Though I actually love that single and rated it highly.

Kylie Minogue ● The Singles Rate (RESULTS)
I'm gonna guess Some Kind of Bliss and 2 Hearts are the lead singles coming next :P I'm actually surprised 2 Hearts made it into the Top 50! I've always felt in the minority for loooooving it.

Kylie Minogue ● The Singles Rate (RESULTS)
I cannot deal with Cowboy Style landing outside the Top 50!! :nono: Y'ALL!! Y'all see the 11 I gave it lmaoooo. Literally one of my all-time Kylie faves, to this day. And c'mon, the live versions in the Fever and Homecoming tours were amazing :o I also love WITF in all its forms. The single version was a thrilling surprise to discover. I hear precursors to IP and BL in that BIR remix. Just realized that all the collab single rankings have been revealed lol I'm also gonna make a Top 3 prediction: The One really ought to land in the Top 3 ^_^

Disco: One Month On
Can't believe it's been a month since my first listen of DISCO! Still not sick of the album yet. Definitely some shifts in my track impressions. Last Chance is the big grower for me. Magic: 9 -> 8.5 Miss a Thing: 10 -> 10 (though technically it's an 11 to me :heart: ) Real Groove: 9 -> 9 Monday Blues: 8 -> 9 Supernova: 9 -> 10 B-) Say Something: 7.5 -> 7.5 Last Chance: 7 -> 9 I Love It: 9 -> 10 :wub: Where Does the DJ Go?: 10 -> 10 Dancefloor Darling: 8.5 -> 8.5 Unstoppable: 9 -> 9 Celebrate You: 8.5 -> 8 Till You Love Somebody: 8.5 -> 9 Fine Wine: 9 -> 9 Hey Lonely: 7.5 -> 7 Spotlight: 8.5 -> 8

DISCO ● Chart Thread
I am blown away by how successful DISCO is. I'm sure Kylie and BMG are happy about many of the numbers they've seen. Selling 15k more than Golden by Week 4 is super impressive! Especially when streaming has become even more ubiquitous, AND the pandemic affected business on all levels.

Kylie Minogue ● The Singles Rate (RESULTS)
Oof so many results to catch up on! The IWGC hilarity! I do think it's hard to separately the song itself, the musical merit of it, from: the video debacle, the dancer pay debacle, and the low charting leading to the end of the KMO era. I am a DIEHARD Kylie fan, but when it comes to her songs that I don't like, I REALLY don't like them  Tears on My Pillow and Especially for You...I don't think I can appreciate these songs without being a Kylie fan during that era. Athough, there are PLENTY of PWL tracks I do love, such as fellow low-ranker It's No Secret. I literally feel like an alien whenever I see live audiences singing the entire EFY song back to her. I have no connection to these 2 songs whatsoever, and I've lived with them for almost 20 years by now. So yep, I'm partly responsible for crashing their rankings here :P If You Were With Me Now...so, I'm a North American fan and I LOVE a lot of Soul/R&B music. This Quiet Storm ballad has never clicked for me, though. It's a total non-starter to my ears, versus WIO or Finer Feelings, which are much better takes on Black American musical influences IMO. Not to mention, this is the only Keith Washington song I know. I had never heard of him before! I'm also one of the voters responsible for bringing down any Kylie Christmas singles. I'm not a Christmas person -_- I don't remember the last time I played that album. BUT, I am delighted that Santa Baby has become an unexpected sleeper hit. What a nice surprise.

DISCO ● 15th Studio Album ● Part II
YIKES...what happened, Mutya?? Not so much her look, but her bitchiness. I've been a Sugababes fan since the start, so this is very disappointing. It sounds like she's projecting her own insecurities or other issues.

Jordan Lee’s ranking of Kylies studio albums
Ooh Fever takes the crown for jlj! I basically agree that IP is the album that transformed my mindset on Kylie. It was such a different album for her, and it made me appreciate her artistry with much more depth, complexity, and respect than before. Kylie takes risks in her career, and she's a chameleon not only in her lewks, but in her music too. It's too bad IP was not a hit by Kylie's standards, and the lack of success put her career in danger. Though, it seems she does love the album because she kept including IP tracks in her shows long after the album release. My feelings on Fever are kinda at a low point currently :P I became a Kylie fan thanks to the In Your Eyes video (not Head, which I actually disliked back then), and when I bought Fever, I played it to death ofc. These days though, I really only listen to Head, IYE, and More More More. I'm not sure why the album tracks don't do much for me now -_- . Lately, it's among the Kylie albums I play the least, along with Kylie Christmas, LGTI, KM94, and Aphro. But of course, objectively there's no way of denying its global impact and incredible effect on Kylie's career. I thought quite a bit about what my Top 3 or Top 5 would be. I think I have a Top 4 (in order of release date, NOT in ranking): Impossible Princess Body Language Golden DISCO ...and there's no hope of putting them in any order of preference whatsoever

Jordan Lee’s ranking of Kylies studio albums
I'm gonna guess IP is your fave Kylie album...using the high ranking of KM94 as my clue ^_^ I think I also have IP and DISCO in my Top 3. DISCO is so new and of-the-moment though, so it's all still up in the air :P

5 Decades and Eight Number 1 Albums
At first, I felt like I should choose Fever, because it was true global domination. But then I decided to go with what I'm honestly feeling at the moment, which is DISCO :dancing:

Jordan Lee’s ranking of Kylies studio albums
Wow, I'm surprised at the Top 5 placement of KM94. I guess you really like her belting! I would've had it higher on my ranking if I actually loved any of the album tracks. Both X and KMO are similar in my mental categorizing, in that they're not cohesive, but they contain some of my absolute favourite BOPS. For a while, my feelings about X kept changing. By the time KMO was released, I had started letting go of cohesiveness as a ranking criterion (I basically never listen to albums in their running order, instead on shuffle or cherry-picked into playlists). So when I look at an album less by the tracklist order, and more as an overall era that produced these tracks, I really love X and KMO for giving me many of my Kylie classic tunes. LOL I don't really like Wow either, though it's actually crossed over and impacted the general public. It's become a signature "Kylie brand" song, like All the Lovers. Rhythm of Love is a stone-cold classic. And The World Still Turns is also one of my fave Kylie album tracks! I don't think the album is in my Top 5, but that's mainly because I wasn't a Kylie fan when ROL was released.

Jordan Lee’s ranking of Kylies studio albums
Aphrodite so low in the ranking is a surprise, especially from a first listen! I remember liking Aphro instantly, versus something like Body Language, which took me a while to love. I remember praising Aphro for how cohesive it was, after the X album. And it is one of the most recognizable, "Kylie dance-pop brand" albums, even to non-fans, so a low ranking is surprising. BUT, I had already been rocked to my very foundations by your KMO ranking. Nothing following that could've shocked me more ;) Also, currently Aphro is one of those albums I have no desire to revisit. Sometimes, I find the electro EDM production dated in its own way, somewhat similar to how the early SAW albums are timestamped with their 80s production. I'm also one of the minority who doesn't rank All the Lovers as a 10/10 or 9/10. Gimme Get Outta My Way any day! Meanwhile, I don't think Body Language has ever fallen below my Top 5 :P From Slow, playing all the way to Obsession, I bop :funky: I'm looking forward to seeing the Deconstruction albums vs the BMG albums in your rankings  Also, let's see how high you've placed Rhythm of Love!

Let's discuss album #16!
Yes, I can see this happening. And actually, I see the possibility of her next major release being an EP, with a more unexpected sound and featuring collaborations. Somewhat like her Garibay projects, though not necessarily with a similar sound. I can see her making a left turn like that after the big mainstream successes of Glastonbury and DISCO. I think the hardcore fans would go wild if she did an "experimental" EP with Jon Green :)

DISCO ● Rank the album
Agreed! I like or love every track on DISCO. What an album! Miss a Thing is my 11/10, and there are a bunch of 10/10s: I Love It, Supernova, and Where Does the DJ Go? After that, it's too hard for me to rank.
