Whilst I agree, you should find a way to get over that. There's nothing wrong with sounding "GAY".

This album is surprising me, it's actually very good. And even though it's practically schizophrenic in nature (there's hyperactive songs like 'Real Late Starter' and the magnificent 'Fahrenheit', and then there's songs like the wonderful 'Smile' and 'Superman'), it's a very solid effort. Before this album, I thought nothing of Joe McElderry, 'Wide Awake' has proven me I should give him some credit.
  3. I'm not sold on the release of 'Stay', nor would I be sold on 'Illuminated'. I love the album to bits but those two, and 'Blood, Tears & Gold' are the most skippable for me. It is clear why they#re releasing it though, the timing is pretty good - it's just before christmas so it's not going to get brushed aside by the X Factor riff raff and the re-releases that are becoming ever-so- these days. If only Mini Viva took note... But I wouldn't thought 'Devotion' would be released? It's not my favourite but it just.... makes sense, y'know? They would definitely get Radio 1's backing, because of Kylie, plus, a lot more media and public interest; it's also suitable for the time of year too. For February, if we get a fourth single... 'Sunday' please. :D
  4. I'm not too keen on the sound of this 'remix', as far as RedOne's attempts at ballads go, 'The Silence' was perfection. Didn't Alexandra say her next single was going to be a duet with another male artist(s)? Oh, God if she collaborates again...

I wouldn't judge you. You're right. 'Someone Wake Me Up' is stunning. EDIT: JamesP, you're sig is hilarious, that guy should be given an award for throwing the envelope back.

I think not releasing 'Vulnerable' and 'Pandemonium' in the 'Yes' era made this release a bit naff. As many have said before, they haven't released any new material that's made a big impact to merit releasing another Greatest Hits collection. If PSB had released 'Vulnerable' and 'Pandemonium' from 'Yes', then I could've seen the whole era being more successful and ultimately a completely new album rather than a compilation and one single. For some reason, I highly regard 'Love, etc,' as the Boys' best single. Even more odd, is that I LOVE 'Opportunities' and 'Did You See Me Coming?'. Neil's lyrics prowess was on top form when he wrote those three.

This. Just because she was a bit mad looking... and if it was Britney Spears or Lindsey Lohan throwing peanuts about they'd be put back in a mental asylum. Don't see why she should get away with it.
  9. Just bought it, I'll get back to you all later but for now, discuss what you lot think about the know-twiddler's electropop effort. Btw, instant standout for me is 'You Gave Me Nothing'.
  10. HURTS all the way. That solo sax interlude is just... haunting.
  11. Are you sure you're talking about Take That? Gary would not be pleased :L
  12. It baffles me people cast songs like 'Get Outta My Way' or 'The Recluse' as "flops" seeing as it's weeks before the physicals are released. The definition of a "flop" is nicely summed up in one word: 'Bionic'.
  13. Think repesctively: Mika - song-writing ability; Jake Shears has the sex appeal.
  14. I know, but I just wanted to have a go at Syco for moulding Joe into this Mika/Jake Shears hybrid without the song-writing ability or sex appeal. Just because Joe is gay does not mean he has to make music that wouldn't sound out of place on a Glee album.
  15. Really? I hadn't noticed. So glad you're here to tell me about myself. Maybe it's just me not trying to be boring, but hey.
  16. Really? No, REALLY? Great post and all but this is Cheryl we're chattin' bout.. get wot im say'n?
  17. Glad to see you support my revolt.
  18. Incorrect. He's only writing the song, which we can expect to be better than last year's which ever way you cut it. For me, this song is catchy as hell, and greatly exceeds by expectations. But it's annoying to see, once again, Syco push their alumni down a route that is already chock-full of more successful artists - it's like he won't let Joe, Olly, Leon, Alexandra et al be themselves for fear of not selling well. Instead he makes them into other artists that he thinks are about over. Oh HELL TO THE NO. You DO NOT play around with Mika. He writes songs about sluts and calls them funny names so people think they're actually singing a little nursery rhyme-esque songs but actually you're being VERY RUDE, ITE? Go Mika

  20. 'All Time Low' was a good lead single, 'Heart Vacancy' will sell the album in it's millions. As for tracks 3 + 4, 'Let's Get Ugly' is one of the moments bizarre things I've ever heard and yet, packed with NON-boyband likeability, it manages to be perplexing and utterly compelling at the same time. It's lyrics are brilliant. 'Behind Bars' MUST be a single. For reasons that it must be a single. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZW3dXXfmDhQ...feature=related I'm STILL wainting for a video link or audio file to 'Lose Control'...
  21. Not before I performed a little YouTube rip. :teresa:
  22. Oh god. You've jinxed it.

    Awful, just awful.
  24. Tbh, I could probably guess the lyrics to the chorus, whether they write it or not it means $h!t all unless they're good.
