  1. Cyprus does feel doomed, which is a shame as it’s a bit of a bop but feels destined to get lost in the shuffle
  2. Cyprus bringing the Windows Media Player circa 2004 visuals
  3. Living for Eric’s commitment to being a miserable git *.*
  4. Not really a surprise given the quality of the semi sadly

So many of my potentials confirmed by other this month: girli, Florrie, L Devine and Eli & Fur. There’s also the one I switched out at the last minute, Zolita.
  6. Yes, I think S3 was compelling primarily down to the couples, whereas so far I'm feeling the opposite with S4 - the location/journey is fantastic, but the couples aren't doing much for me. Steven and Viv would be my 'preferred' couple of leave, mainly because I'm not sure how much of her SUFFERING IN SILENCE to his madness I can take.

I pretty much solely watch Apple TV+ content these days, shows I have watched and would recommend: Foundation - Sweeping space opera. Truly excellent production values. Slightly meandering storyline, but very definitely worth sticking with. For All Mankind - Alt-history based not he Soviet Union winning the space race. Each season covers a different decade. Loot - Maya Rudolph starring comedy about a billionaire divorcee who runs a charity (hilarity ensues). Severance - Impossible to describe without giving it away. Just incredible tv. Silo - Dystopian sci-fi. Not a hugely original premise, but very well executed. Lessons in Chemistry - Period drama touching on feminism, racism and the reality of life in 50's/60's America. The Morning Show - Post Me Too morning TV show soap drama. Nonsensical but fun. WeCrashed - ''Based on real events'' around WeWork. Anne Hathaway is excellent. Slow Horses - British spy drama, some excellent acting and gripping storylines. Dickinson - Modern (comedic) retelling of the life of 19th century poet Emily Dickinson. Mythic Quest - Workplace comedy set within a gaming company. Decent hit rate of jokes and good supporting cast of characters, especially Jo. Palm Royale - Campy nonsense drama set in the 1960's with an excellent cast and some fantastic dialogue.
  8. So happy this is back next week! I didn't love S3 as much as S2, and the lineup is feeling a little STALE, but the location seems like it has the potential to be excellent.

  10. Congrats Phil! What a fab surprise winner. And on a selfish note, it’s only taken 130 contests, but finally completing the full set of top 10 positions (and my first top 10 in over a year) is fabulous.
  11. Given the non-voters in Semi 2 I’m not feeling particularly confident this month.
  12. Of course I came 21st, feels like a good portion of my DNQ’s are missing out by one place
  13. Shame, the curse of Bre is alive and well it seems
  14. These results have been a bit of a surprise so far, so not feeling entirely confident.

I think at his stage I’m 100% on them all: Eiffel Tower - Tiffany Air Fryer - Keala Settle Cricket - Lemar Bigfoot - Alex Brooker Piranha - Danny Jones I was wavering on Bigfoot but tonight’s vocal sounded so much like him.
  16. We have confirmed - feeling confident for once.
  17. Shocked at Dolly Style doing so well! It’s fantastic (obviously) but I totally discounted it as I thought it was a surefire flop.
  18. Be Prepared would be a fantastic winner, it’s between it Zero to Hero and Hellfire for my favourite Disney song.
  19. I’m so pleased people seem to be enjoying Zero to Hero, one of the very best Disney songs (Hercules has the best music overall of any Disney movie for my £££).

  22. That's Me (so good Agnetha named her Greatest Hits after it) is a fun bop, but it's definitely not as strong as much of the parent album. Little Things is just weak, it isn't even BAD, it's just bland, forgettable nothingness. Voyage would have been a much stronger album without it. Disillusion is lovely, Agnetha's plaintiff vocals really shine and acts as a nice bridge between her solo career and her ABBA work. Definitely here for some Angeleyes love though, absolutely stellar, perhaps the best vocal harmonies of ANY ABBA song.
  23. Voted! Had a couple of decent discoveries, along with welcome reminders of some fabulous songs.
  24. Dream World is wonderful, obviously a small portion got re-used but I think it stands alone as an equal. At the same time, I don’t think it had a place on Voulez-Vous (as much as wishful thinking would ditch I Have A Dream and the nightmare choir).
  25. Two For The Price of One is a perfectly fine song by any metric, but it should not have been on The Visitors, not when Should I Laugh or Cry was in the wings. As Rich says, it feels like it belongs to a much earlier period in their discography. It feels most aligned with ABBA to me sonically.
