Singerpurear would be a fab winner! I’m pinning my hopes on finally bagging that 9th place this month (or at least another top 10)

The Celebration Tour
It’s fine to amend some songs, like La Isla Bonita, Like A Virgin, Lucky Star on the Confessions Tour, but she has a habit of gutting them - like Vogue and Hung Up on the S&S Tour, to name but a couple.

152 : Semi-final 2
I thought when you said french pop that’s what you’d be going with!

Movies II: ✯Confirmations✯
I have a playlist of about 500 songs from movies, so was spoiled for choice. I was tempted to send Miss United States, but remembered I’ve already sent it to a spin off.

Most underrated song on: Born This Way
Americano, mais bien sur

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - HANA
I'm not really sure what, if anything, Sophie released would have much impact. I would imagine the income she generates is pretty much solely from touring/merchandise, so having a new album out, doing some promo and announcing the tour, then playing a few of the new songs but mostly the hits will keep her ticking over nicely for a few years. I'm just glad she's still out here making music in one form or another.

Concerts
Well, I saw it mooted somewhere recently, she does have a new album out this year, but I guess finding time to work around recording her show. I really hope it's true anyway.

Concerts
Got quite a few planned for 2023 so far: February - Carly Rae Jepsen, Self Esteem March - Sam Ryder April - Delta Goodrem, Mimi Webb July - ABBA Voyage November - Gabrielle December - Madonna x2 Plus, looks like Ava Max, Kylie and Kelly Clarkson will be touring this year so will definitely be trying for tickets for all 3.

Grammy Awards 2023
I think the very fact people are lambasting her for choices she has made regarding her own body and appearance is the exact point she's trying to make. I don't personally agree with her choices, but I respect her choice in making them. If she had decided to ''grow old gracefully'', they would be criticising her for how old she looks. She can't win, regardless of which avenue she decided to take. It's part of a wider conversation around female ageing though, I think. Especially for those perceived as being sex symbols, or for whom their physical appeal is a large part of their success. If your career is built in full, or in part, on being desirable to others, then you have a binary choice forced upon you - either do nothing, and your career ebbs, or try and do whatever you can to stave off the aging process and cling on as long as you can. Madonna managed the latter for a long time, her first work during the Drowned World Tour was a huge success, so was the work in 2005 and 2008, but it only lasts so long. The question of whether or not the work she has had done is making her happy is something else entirely. I really hope it is and that, whether we see it or not, she is happy with what she sees in the mirror. Ultimately though, I don't really think the choice was ever hers to be made. Not if she wanted to continue being Madonna into her 4th decade and beyond.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - HANA
I really like it, it's more of that warm folk-disco sound that suits her voice so well.

Movies II: ✯Confirmations✯
I was toying with a few options, but went for one of my all time favourite soundtrack songs (from one of my all time favourite films).

After I complained about not coming 4th for ages that feels right! Not really a fan of the top 3, but congrats to Summericia for the win.

I know I say this every time I’m a contender, but Mad Man winning would genuinely shock me, it feels like it’s going to be one of those unexpected winner months.

This sounds like prime Altyr winning territory (I don’t think I’ll win)

The Celebration Tour
The sensible thing, yes, but it’s Madonna so sensible doesn’t really apply. I also got London tickets, but am almost certainly selling my Amsterdam tickets. Got much better ones for London (front of section 107). Had to pay more but will work out cheaper when adding in flights and hotel so a win, on balance.

Delta Goodrem - TBA [DG7]
Got really good tickets (row 5) for Dublin! Yay
