It’s probably picking up in other markets. Radio play in the United States is picking up. Regional tour announcements also help.

For many of us, streaming is part of our commute. That’s gone away with working from home. I believe that is one of many factors contributing to the less than stellar streaming figures.

Even though the numbers are compatible, if not higher this year, it’s evident that everyone had to work harder. Numbers might not have as high had it not been for the chart battles. Be it imagined or engineered, they have helped retailers ( and, of course, the artists involved). Everyone won, really.

I was slightly worried before hand but now feel better about it. Although many have requested for an official version of Real Groove feat. Dua Lipa, I am still unsure it’ll happen.

I’d be surprised if BMG wouldn’t want to capitalise on the success of this album/era. I suspect a remix album featuring collaborations is likely. After that, I think we should expect another commercially geared album before she finally pursues something a little more left field - jazz etc. Given that it took her so long to regain lost ground(KMO), I’ll be surprised if she takes another gamble so quickly.
