Feel completely the opposite. I think it’s their best album since radioactive, and I loved the last two albums. Finally showcases their musicianship, and for me there’s not a single track i want to skip, unlike in the last 2. Hope it does well for them.

Anyone have any stats on how well this doing sales/stream wise?

Really pleased for the guys that this got to number 2, you can tell they’re really happy! Also glad it sold more in its first week than above the noise! Does anybody know how well the album did on streaming? I saw someone on Twitter say it had 4 million streams on Spotify but no idea how true this. I also wondered if anyone knows how the album performed in other countries? Did it reach the charts in Brazil where they’re pretty big etc?

The documentary was fantastic. Such a good platform for them and they came off really well from it. Hope it gives the album a little boost too.

Listened to the album twice through today from start to finish - absolutely love it! Exactly how I feel McFly should sound in 2020! Instant hits for me: another song about love, tonight is the night, young dumb thrills, mad about you, wild and young, not the end Growers: you’re not special, sink or song, like I can Overall though, very strong album for me and I’m sure I’ll have it on repeat for months :) really hope it does well commercially for them!

Alarming lack of promotion from McFly lately given that the album is out in a couple of weeks! I hope they get some promo in soon so the album does well!

Yeah there doesn’t seem to be anything like as much hype for this one as there was for happiness. Hopefully a video and some promo will follow. Praying it gets radio AirPlay.

Love it!! I’ve enjoyed all three but this is by far the best! Really hope radio 2 give this the same sort of airplay as they did for happiness. The album could do well if they do!

Anyone else getting major Beatles vibes from the opening bars on the clip they’ve put out??

Is this release definitely the second single? Surprised it’s so far before the album release? Historically they always released the second single a week or two before the album 🤔

I absolutely love Growing up! Yes definitely a McBusted feel but better IMO. Loved both singles so far, can’t wait for the album.

Just listened now! Really like it... agree about the chorus, wasn’t sure on it at first but growing on me already! A feel good song for the summer. Good to have them back!

That’s sad to think the single might chart so low! I’m out of touch though when it comes to the singles chart and how it works these days and what they’d actually need to sell/stream to go top 40. Number 1 album would be immense though! They’d be stoked!

Really excited to hear this!! Love everything I see so far! On a slightly different note, how well do you reckon mcfly will fair in the charts these days? Hard to say without hearing the song but it’s practically a different world since when they last released music? Reckon they can still crack the top 10?

Great song!! Way better than Air Guitar and deserves to do well but no doubt will under perform :(

That is the bit they changed. You can hear it back on the radio 1 website from this morning. The lyric now is "I guess I never should have sang Beyonce, or MJ.... so i dropped the mic"

Wasn't sure what to think on first listen, the chorus seems very cheesy, however after about the fifth listen I can't deny it - I'm hooked! Love it, hope it does well and people get behind it!

Where has this come from?

I agree about holding back the album til after McBusted. However to scrap the album completely and re-start would just be a huge mistake in my opinion! What's to stop them releasing a 3 singles pre-album? A 2nd single in Feb/March and the third single at the end of the McBusted tour with the album to follow? On another note - pleased to see them score another top 10 :)

That's great! It has slowed down now though, so sales over the next few days will be minimal. I think it'll clear 40k+ and might be low top 5.
