  1. I'm joking Stevey  It seems a bit strange they are marketing this as their 'first' US single are they just forgetting the flop that was Everybody In Love?
  2. Well they aren't good enough for her which is why they went for Shontelle.

I am getting your point but you clearly aren't getting mine. The reason that American Idol has been so boring the past two years is that they have been limited to the songs that they can now sing as they release the downloads and Simon doesn't decide anything on that show as he has never actually had a final decision on things like that since it was not his show. I seriously doubt UK viewers are going to be kept interested by by a bunch of dreary Motown songs. Anyway there is no point in discussing this any further as I know the performances are not being released
  4. Do you just moan in every thread?

I have no problem you just can't seem to understand the concept that X Factor cannot just release performances week in week out and get the clearance for it. Why would you put the word clearance in inverted commas leads me to believe that you have no idea how these things work and how the rights of performing a song on a show and actually releasing it are two different things. Kings of Leon recently turned down Glee as this meant their tracks would be available for download. Whereas, these tracks can be performed on X Factor as they are not going to be released.

Yeh I have had it personally confirmed and they are not planning to release them either the reports are bogus.

I'm not getting defensive I am stating that the songs are not going to chart. Why do you feel the need to be so rude. There were not a few reports there was one newspaper article with no facts to back it up.

American Idol is different they do not chart and they have the same songs every year. Look I'm going to come back to this post the first week of the live shows and reinforce how wrong you are. You clearly have no idea how things work.

Do you realize how long it can take to get clearance for individual tracks? The performances will not be released end of!
  12. hellohi. posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
No it was an articled in a newspaper and for some reason everyone here believed it. There is no way they can release every performance, they would never get clearance. Journey prevented Joe from releasing Don't Stop Believing and I don't think they are going to go through the headache of having to get clearance to release songs every week.
  13. I can say one thing the debate you guys are having is way more interesting than what most of the imbeciles in that chart thread come up with.

The X Factor songs will not be eligible to chart is no one getting this?
  15. hellohi. posted a post in a topic in UK Charts

To be honest American Idol doesn't take over the US charts like the $h!t that is X Factor artists. Over there also if you release $h!t material it will flop. Kelly has had to work hard on her career and has had many ups and downs any success she has had bar her first single has been down to her own merit. Also if you notice recently all American Idol related tracks flop. America has a different perspective than we do with these competitions in that the country doesn't follow it and obsess over it for four months of their life a year.

You prefer Katy's song and you would rather Olly gets number 1? Where is the logic in that?

Hm so yet another Avenue member is in another boyband.
  19. hellohi. posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
X Factor is good as throwaway entertainment but as for long terms careers, well it doesn't seem to be sustainable, even Leona is struggling.

At least we will have Tinie Tempah and Rihanna number ones to stop the borefest that is X Factor and Take That related songs. That Olly song is terrible to be honest and he is just vile.
