I think Nirvana is the most influential song ever, let alone in 1991!

The only reason I'm not voting is because I could never decide. There are loads of classics in here.

BTW, thanks for the feedback, I was really worried you'd think I was copying you! :)

Well tbh you are copying me but it's alright because its different. I'm currently doing a rate of 90s number 2s and then next 00s number 2s. The only song here that has or will be in my rate is '3AM Eternal', so it's all good. Nirvana 'SLTS' is one of the greatest rock songs of all time yes, I can't believe it only peaked at 7, it's chart run doesnt scream 'CLASSIC'

  2.

This idea sounds great, there were some classics that never reached number 1 or 2. My rate will still be running as well as this

+10 Nirvana 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' This has to win, it is such a classic

    +09 R.E.M. 'Loosing My Religion'

+08 Red Hot Chilli Peppers 'Under The Bridge'

+07 The KLF '3am Eternal' This is a good song, but my favourite KLF song is "Doctorin' The Tardis"

    +06 U2 'One'

+05 Guns N Roses 'Live and Let Die'

+04 Tribe Called Quest 'Can I Kick It'

+03 Massive Attack 'Unfinished Sympathy' Havent heard from here on, this gets the most points due to the fact Massive Attack is a lyric from a Tinie Tempah song, Written in the Stars

+02 Primal Scream 'Loaded' This finishes above Metallica because I have heard 'Country Girl' by these people but have never listened to a Metallica song

    -01 Metallica 'Enter Sandman'

+15 The KLF 'Justified and Ancient' This is a classic, even if what she's saying in the chorus makes no sense at all

+12 Undercover 'Baker Street' R.I.P. Gerry Rafferty - original is better but this remix isn't bad

    +10 SL2 'On a Ragga Trip'

+08 Ce Ce Peniston 'Finally' How would of they said her name on radio

+06 Michael Jackson 'Heal The World'

    +05 Kris Kross 'Jump'

+04 Prodigy 'Everybody in the Place'

+03 Dr Alban 'It's My Life'

    +02 Smart E's 'Seasame's Treet'

+01 Shut Up and Dance 'Raving I'm Raving'

-02 Mariah Carey 'I'll Be There' This is for ruining the Jackson 5 classic. I was almost going to give The Temptations -2 but it was a re-release from the 60s so its a bit unfaire

Just listened to parts of CKB and I'm not a fan of it, she can do good ballads but this isn't one of them. It might grow on me when it gets popular but don't really like it right now. I guess I'm not really a Rihanna fan lol, she's just my favourite artist atm. I also don't post in her AF forum, as most of my posts are here (after all I came to this site cos of the chart chat)

Unfaithful >>>>>>>>> Russian Roulette >>>>>>>>>>> Take a Bow

Bit late on asking, but aren't you meant to loon Rihanna?

:drama: I know I'm a flop loon aren't I. Although I'm currently looning over "Party Rock Anthem" too, so that's 2 things to loon over. I don't normally buy peoples albums, I'm a singles type of person. So once California King Bed gets confirmed a single and starts becoming popular I might listen to it and hopefully it'll be good

This is a 90s number twos rate using every song that hit number 2 but failed to go to number 1 in the 1990s. What will happen is there will be 10 rounds, the first being 1990, then 1991 etc. up to round 10 which will be 1999. The top 4 from each round will go straight to the final, and 5th to 7th placed will go in a "wildcard" round.

The top ten songs from the "wildcard" round will be put into the final round to make a top 50 of the decade. After the final the next rate will be 00s number 2s

How you rate the songs; exactly the same as last time, you do not rate every song that hit number two, you just rate your ten favourites and your least favourite. You give +15 points to your favourite song, and the rest are as follows; This is to hopefully stop ties from happening inside the top 3.

    +15 Favourite Song

    +12 2nd Favourite Song

    +10 3rd Favourite Song

    +08 4th Favourite

    +06 5th Favourite

    +05 6th Favourite

    +04 7th Favourite

    +03 8th Favourite

    +02 9th Favourite

    +01 10th Favourite

-02 Least Favourite, or Most Hated depending on what way you look at it

These are the songs you need to rate from. You have 2 days for every round to rate. This means the deadline is Friday morning and hopefully round 4 (1993) will be up by then.

Chipmunk and Keri have cracked the top 100... now @ 83 - highest its been hasn't it?

Ooh great! :yahoo: "In The Air" $h!ts all over "Champion", it's feel-good and deserves to be in the top 40. Keri's chorus really adds to the song and the before-chorus is the best part of the song

put your lighters up (go on put them in the air), put your lighters up (everybody everywhere), put your lighters up (high where I can see), put your lighters up so you can shine like me

I'd love to live in the US airplay-wize, Rihanna would be blasting out the radio without stupid censoring of the words "sex", "chains" and "whips", Cee Lo Green's "Forget You" would still be everywhere, and Jeremih would be getting decent airplay and not get about one play a week from the chart show. Chris Brown's only song where he doesn't do his annoying singing voice would be popular "Look At Me Now". The US charts are great right now, except for the lack of LMFAO

Wow. Chris Brown is officially the biggest artist in the UK! :o

:nono: What would Adele say about that? Just cos' Chris has the most entries doesnt mean he's the biggest artist here

Fog On The Tyne came 18th on TMF's 'Ulitmate 100 Really Bad Songs'

Imagine Rooney doing something like this? a million time worser than Gazza.

Is there a link for TMF's Ultimate 100 Really Bad Songs, I can't seem to find it on the internet. I do believe you, but I'm intrested to see the whole countdown. When I search FOTT on YouTube it played the "TMF's Ultimate 100 Really Bad Songs" video. Is this meant to be a football song? Normal people wouldn't start saying that the fog on the tyne was all theirs, whatever that meant.

I see you're using w/e dates rather than the Sunday dates when the chart was published. Oh well, that's my 15 points for 1992 sorted then. :D

20 -026 Gazza and Lindisfarne "Fog on The Tyne" Worst scoring song EVER

    :D

Yes, I'm using the dates that this website, (not BJ, url posted) gives out. "Justified and Ancient" may have got to number one in 1991 but the end of the week was obviously in 1992. http://www.pharoah.co.uk/number-2s-90s.htm

I had a listen to "Fog on The Tyne" when everyone started negative voting for it, it's not "good", but it doesn't deserve more minus points than "The Millennium Prayer" which is the worst song ever

  12. A big shame that 'Look At Me Now' is falling and 'Beautiful People' is climbing and possibly Chris' new single. I'm not a fan of Chris, but LAMN is amazing for a proper rap song, Busta Rhymes is so skilled, I love his rap verse, and for once Chris Brown does (just about) NO SINGING - he's not too bad when he raps. I'm not a fan of Jodie Connor too, I don't wanna see Bring It go top 40 but as this week is so quiet it'll probably will.
