Good to see "Look At The Sky" up there.
I still believe "For All Time" deserved that TOTY. Some of the fans were actually complaining, even producers.
Well sadly there seems to be a lot of purists and snobs in the trance community so I'm not surprised if there were complaints, but yeah it was certainly deserved out of the realistic contenders (my TOTY was 'Calling Home' but that wasn't even top 25).

Video
Originally a 10 minute album track, though it ended up getting a more digestible edit and it quickly grew on me since. A wonderful vocal progressive trance track not too dissimilar to the recent Above & Beyond entry. BT always puts a lot of effort into the atmosphere too and it especially shows in the mid section around the 3 minute mark.

In a comparatively quiet year for the group where they were mainly putting out remixes of their old songs we got this which could very well serve as the lead of their new album although we've no confirmation of that. It's another brilliant vocal trance track from them that they are best at.

A rich electronica production here from Ben Böhmer, and one of the few vocal tracks on his latest album. It's more grand than the typical melodic house that gets put out but that only helps it be a stand-out here. And for Ben being one of the more influential and forward thinking producers in this field perhaps we'll get a few more tracks like it next year from others.

Eximinds is a Russian trance producer who made a little splash in my chart prior but in a sea of indistinguishable trance instrumentals this was a proper anthem, with a great string melody leading into a grand euphoric drop.

Purple Noise currently remains the biggest track of Boris Brejcha's output so far, although it dated from before I knew of him.
