it’s in the dance poll (as is J Lo who gets to be the lucky one to feature in two polls)

is it only the top 200 that is available now? as in if we miss that we have no way of knowing how much we've done?

Next up two Eurovision songs, the first of which was very handsomely rewarded by the televoting public and the other which in the infamous UK fashion scored nil points from European viewers. Tommy Cash had already been one of Estonia's most established artists having guested on a Charli xcx song but went on to give the country their best placement since 2002 with a novelty song about coffee. Female vocal trio Remember Monday were chosen as the UK's entry and were narrowly the country's favourite of the contest in the week following. Tyler, the Creator had a very prolific year releasing 2 albums in the span of 9 months. The only lasting hit from album #2 proved to be 'Sugar On My Tongue'. The similarly named Tyla also had a minor hit at the start of the year in 'Push 2 Start'. We will see her again in the 2026 top 20 hits poll. House DJ Sonny Fodera had one of the year's unluckiest top 20 misses with 'Tell Me', having spent the best part of 3 months between 23-29. It started another good year for vocalist Clementine Douglas who soon had her biggest hit to date guesting on Calvin Harris' 'Blessings'. Irish band Fontaines D.C. had quickly gained even bigger prominence with the rollout of fourth album 'Romance' that saw them scoring minor charting singles for the first time. It eventually culminated in deluxe re-issue promo 'It's Amazing To Be Young' charting their first top 40 with the newfound fanbase. Katseye were recently launched as a multinational girlband hoping to follow the success of K-pop groups, so far they've been moderately successful with two top 40 hits, the first and bigger of these being 'Gabriela' which sits at 13th before we rewind the clocks back for the last two. Firstly the death of Ozzy Osbourne prompted 'Crazy Train' to belatedly reach the top 40, having missed out on its original release in 1980. He also returned to the top 20 with 'Paranoid' as lead for Black Sabbath, though that had already been a #4 hit. The reunion tour for Oasis saw a number of their tracks return to the chart but also a couple make it in for the first time - 'Slide Away' was originally an album track from 1994's 'Definitely Maybe' however a recent live recording was put out as a single which prompted it to chart for a week. Top 10 A-Z Addison Rae - Fame Is A Gun Addison Rae - Headphones On Jade - FUFN (F*ck You For Now) Lady Gaga - Garden of Eden Miley Cyrus - End of the World PinkPantheress - Illegal PinkPantheress - Tonight Rosalía feat. Björk & Yves Tumor - Berghain Sombr - We Never Dated Tame Impala - Dracula (if 'Dracula' does belatedly make the top 20 at any point in the next few weeks, it will retroactively be disqualified)

#20 Moliy & Silent Addy - Shake It to the Max (Fly) CR: 70-44-35-25-26-26-15-14-13-{12}-14-14-17-18-21-45-54-59-60-57-60-73->22 Points: 89 #19 Rossi & Jazzy - High On Me CR: 33-28-28-19-21-24-21-19-{18}-18-23-29->12 Points: 90 #18 Tate McRae - Nobody's Girl CR: {16}-53-70-64R(3)-64-75->6 Points: 95 #17 Sam Fender - Arm's Length CR: {14}-24-37-35-17-25-34-41-41->9 Points: 102 #16 Darlene Love - Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) CR: 74-63R(103)-22-73R(50)-70-33-58R(52)-57-68R(49)-48-42-32-52R(49)-45-39-29-42R(49)-42-35-31-56R(49)-50-41-30-69R(48)-31-34-32-{20}->29 Points: 102 #15 Lisa feat. The song took off following a remix with guest verses by Shenseea & Skillibeng who were left uncredited by the OCC. Silent Addy remained true to his name not saying a word on the track, he is credited as the song's producer. The first in a duo of fairly unknown UK house DJs getting unexpectedly viral hits, Rossi from London teamed with a more familiar face to the charts in vocalist Jazzy for 'High On Me' at 19th. Five places above we have the cousins Max & Luke Dean with 'Can't Decide', with vocals sampled from Qendresa's '2 Much'. Tate McGee put out a deluxe version of her latest album which saw 'Nobody's Girl' briefly chart, rounding off a year where she also had four top 10 hits and a US #1 with Morgan Wallen. The more popular of Sam Fender's top 20 hits proves to be 'Arm's Length', put out as the second and final pre-release single from 'People Watching' long before Olivia Dean made 'Rein Me In' the biggest hit of his career yet. At 16th it is our token Christmas classic of the year, Darlene Love's offering for the 1963 Phil Spector compilation first charted in 2017 and had eventually reached #20 in Christmas just passed. The top rated Blackpink soloist is at 15th here from Lisa albeit with a lot of help from Raye as it is essentially her song that she partly gave away. Doja Cat also provided a guest rap and she will appear again in the top 10, as will Blackpink as a group. Likewise we have another Lily Allen song higher up but for now at 13th is the title track and opener to her surprise success comeback album 'West End Girl'. Not long after a top 10 hit having been named after her, Kehlani broke back into the chart after a six-year absence with 'Folded' becoming her first top 20 and one of the year's biggest RnB hits. We also had a new Rihanna hit in the year. If by new we mean new in the chart that is, as she remains essentially retired from music (that Smurfs film half-song doesn't count) we had to settle for the 2007 fan-favourite album track in 'Breakin Dishes' going viral, belatedly the ninth hit from the 'Good Girl Gone Bad' era. Top 10 A-Z: Benson Boone - Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else Blackpink - Jump Charli XCX - Party 4 U Doja Cat - Jealous Type Huntr/x - What It Sounds Like Lady Gaga - The Dead Dance Lily Allen - Madeline Lorde - What Was That Oasis - Acquiesce Sabrina Carpenter - House Tour

Each week, 8 new releases are selected to go head to head, with one weekly winner which will then go up against future weekly winners later in the year at the end of each quarter of the year, and then again at the end of the year to determine the ultimate winner of 2026. This week's results: Armin van Buuren x Richard Durand x Dicosis - Always You (A State of Trance 2026 ELEVATION Anthem) 4 Hannah Laing x Marlon Hoffstadt x Caroline Roxy - Stomp Your Feet 5 HoneyLuv x Muni Long - Don't Stop 2 John Summit x Julia Wolf - With Me 1 Namasenda - Miami Crest 1 Oliver Heldens - Run 0 Rose Gray - Lush Life 1 Sonny Fodera x Chrystal - My Loving 4 It was a close call all week between three songs however a last minute vote swap saw Hannah Laing claim victory with her hard dance stomper. we have a three way tie now AGH

is Bebe about to break outta the Khia asylum?

Aperture's run to continue to look bizarre when it inevitably returns to next week's top five!

would be brilliant if Danaeviia can finish 30th to complete our set of 1st to 35th seeing as we're unlikely to do particularly well

Discossion may be my best title pun yet tbh. That or Sabreaming. (Charti xcx too but cant take credit for that one)

What are the chart rules regarding streaming? For streaming and chart rules related FAQs read the pinned thread regarding this. How many streams equals one download sale? 100 plays if you are on Spotify Premium, or 600 if you are using the ad-supported free tier. However you cannot simply play a song that many times in one day to give it one sale, you are limited to 10 plays per day in terms of what counts to the chart. The number changes to 200 or 1200 plays when a song moves to ACR. For more information on the rules of ACR see this thread. How much does streaming contribute to the chart? Streaming contributes over 90% to the singles chart as a whole. Spotify counts for at least half of this, with Apple Music and Amazon also big contributors. YouTube is also big however most of YouTube's streams are at the free tier so won't count for as much. Why is my fave not doing well? Is it being promoted on a major curated playlist, and/or going viral on TikTok? If it isn't, it's unlikely to really take off! Hot Hits UK is the biggest of these playlists on Spotify from a UK standpoint. The playlist usually updates itself to include breaking hits once or twice a week, though there is no guarantee that your fave will get a place on the playlist. Also, the UK Top 50 is a largely followed playlist and that songs often experience a 'top 50 effect', when they enter the top 50 and get the additional exposure of being on the playlist. Often sales hits don't cross over to being streaming hits, this is usually the case for songs with an older target audience, reality or campaign songs. Also keep in mind that it often takes longer for a song to take off on Spotify than it would on iTunes. My fave didn't debut high and is falling already, does this mean they're flopping? Not necessarily. Most songs debut relatively low as they aren't instantly well-known, and experience a sharp decline on Day 2 as they no longer have the promoted 'New Music Friday' effect. A lot of songs manage to recover through gaining popularity and additions to playlists. Exceptions to the rule of course come from massively hyped releases, such as the recent album impacts from Drake and Taylor Swift. Spotify How do I see today's Spotify chart? To see the daily top 50 update on desktop, log in to Spotify, click 'Browse', then click 'Charts', then click 'United Kingdom Top 50', or click the link below. Olivia Dean is back again with another album track that had a short chart run being abruptly ended by Christmas and 'So Easy' getting a new year's reset. Her friend Sam Fender currently sharing residence at (fake) #1 also appears with an album track. Halloween proved more popular this year or at least you'd have thought so looking at the chart when really it was the OCC being looser than ever about restrictions on chart resets. In any case the benefit of that was a belated top 40 appearance for Andrew Gold's seasonal effort that would've otherwise made it two years before (its #55 position was with ACR applied). The song was recorded in 1996 but more recently given a remix that is the more popular version, not that Andrew would ever have heard it having died in 2011. Lola Young matches the 23rd position 'One Thing' had in the top 20s poll with the follow-up hit 'D£aler' which I presume was not announced on the radio as 'DPoundSignAler'. A rare country hit and an even rarer case of a GOOD country hit now, a track I'd hoped would finish a lot higher but alas 'Indigo' misses the top 20 again being so far the sole hit for both Sam Barber & Avery Anna. Meanwhile we have Lana Del Rey with what may or may not have been the first single from forthcoming album which may or may not have a different name again.
