What do you think about Whitney Houston? Or Celine Dion? Or Andrea Bocelli? Or Josh Groban? to just name a few that never wrote their songs. What you are saying sounds like a good songwriter or getting a good songwriter. You can get a good songwriter like "Bleeding Love" or Adele's "Make You Feel My Love", but it is the artist's talented ability that sells it. That is really talent.

If you want to be technical, look at the post before that (the original post that this is all replying to). Joe didn't sing "covers and covers only", so where does that leave us when the original post doesn't even make sense. The point was these artists (Adele, Florence, Michael, Katherine) have done covers, released covers, produced covers, and sold covers. And shows more power to them as an artist if they can do it.

Why would they have less talent? :huh: It shows more talent if they actually can sell a cover song don't you think. It is about the artist's talent that is selling the song; not the cover. Why not buy the original? It is easily available and been available for a long time. There would be no reason to buy a cover song, if the artist didn't have the talent.

Never said that. If you think their own songs are crap, that is your opinion. An artist's ability to sing a cover song and sell it shows that they have brought something new to the table. Their talented voice has transformed the song. It is different. It is an original. The talent is real and unique. They really have something there.

They still released covers, whether singles or albums. That was the point. It really shows a lot about their talent when they do it. More power to them. Also, Joe's Classic album is not all covers.

Everyone is entitle to an opinion, but when someone states an opinion different than yours, there is no reason to go personal because you don't like it. They are allowed to disagree and put forth their own views. I just stated some facts, and then they can't handle it and gets personal. What is your point of these ladies? All of them have distinctive voices that carries their performances. Not the other way around. They might use dancers, but they are not hiding anything with their voices. But look at Adele rising above all of them and showing you don't need big production really, but just show off the talent of your voice. And, that is what true talent is about, and will last. Joe (Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, and Jessie J) can agree as his win from X Factor was about his voice. He wasn't media whoring or letting the production carry his performances compared to others. He just went out there, sang and proved to everyone his unique talent. :) Yes, from disrespecting others (Lloyd) to calling girls "dogs" to cancelling a fan gig for a TV show at the last minute where fans could not get a refund, that is such a classy personality. :rolleyes: Joe has gotten his #1 already, and more respect from the industry than Olly can strip for. How many #1 singles did Michael Buble get or Andrea Bocelli or Katherine Jenkins? Joe already proved his talent on X Factor, and it is pretty impressive he was able to sing that song live. It is not an easy song to sing and he had to move around. Well done. Anyway, that is why he left Syco, and moved to Universal. Syco really has been crap and to their other artists (Leona being one and upsetting).

No they weren't. As evident of him being Top 3 almost every week as well as #1 for 4 weeks straight. No one was thinking he was boring. ;) Having dancers and big production mean you don't have talent yourself to carry a performance. You have to use props to make yourself look good because you don't have any talent yourself. Official announcements has not been made yet, but due to the success of this album, I assume Universal will re-releasing the album with added christmas songs.
