Anyone who thinks a song by a popular, young, British artist going to #1 without being playlisted by R1 doesn't make the station look foolish and out of touch is stupid. Anyone who thinks Aled's tweets weren't intended to be malicious & vindictive is even stupider. It wasn't long ago that being playlisted by R1 determined a song's success but Alex and the success of SWY has shown how irrelevant they have become and you can tell their egos have been bruised. Letting an infant loose on Twitter only succeeded in making them look worse.
