THREE MORE SHOWS HAVE BEEN ADDED IN AUSTRALIA IN MELBOURNE, CANBERRA & SYDNEY. HER ALBUM WAS THE #1 SELLING ALBUM IN AUSTRALIA BY AN AMERICAN ARTIST. SALES HAVE NOW EXCEEDED 400,000 UNITS. NOBODY KNOWS WILL BE RELEASED HERE ON 14/01/07. (EXPECTED TO GO TOP 10) I know its been mentioned before but i just had to make a thread coz i cant wait for P!nks concert to hit Australia. I havent posted in here before, i have been a fan since she came out but thanks to I'm Not Dead (i think her best album yet!) im having a whole P!nk-mania thing going on. Her album has spent 18 (almost 5 months) in the top 5 of the Australian Charts, all her singles have gone top 5 with Who Knew the most successful going to #2 with shipments of 35,000 copies, the single is still in the Australian singles chart 29 weeks after release and is currently in the top 40 of the chart. The album went to #1 26 weeks after its release and spent 15 consecutive weeks in the top 5 (now a total of 20 weeks) it is currently the #5 album in the country. It was one of the best selling albums of 2006. It has gone platinum 5 times with 350,000 copies shipped and stands a chance of out-selling Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway which went 6 times platinum. Her 5 time platinum success is a rare thing to happen in australia INCLUDING HER 26 DATE TOUR. This has rarely happened before. 26 concerts in one country is a dam good achievement. I'm 100% sure that when her tour kicks off the album will go back to #1 and remain in the top 5 even longer and sales should exceed 500,000 copies.

her album's sales have dropped 64% and will fall from #6 to #30. The midweek sales for the American charts were in their final stage and it will bomb. And she is the one that said P!nk hasn't sold many albums. And her album also fell from #24 to an embarrasing #88 on the Australian charts.

Over 215 million records worldwide (160 million albums & 55 million singles) Of course this was in 2003 and the figure has risen thanks to other albums and the 8 million selling plus album "The Emancipation Of Mimi". She has had 17 #1 singles in the US more than any other female artist and she is equalled with Elvis Presley and only 3 #1's from being equal to The Beatles. Carey is the second best best selling female artist in the US (behind Barbra Streisand). Madonna and Carey switch between 2nd and 3rd place with every new album certification. And remember Brabra isn't #1 world wide. The world's best-selling music artists cannot be listed officially, as there is no organization that has recorded global music sales in the manner that the RIAA does in the United States. But to answer your question Madonna has sold more albums than Mariah but Mariah has sold more singles and with Mariah's recent success kepping in mind that Confessions hasnt performed very well in AMerica i think by the time Mariah Carey's time comes to retire she would have sold more than 40-50 more million albums by then!

There is still several days before the first album chart by me will be posted and it has been very exciting putting it together and now i can say that it is 100% completed and will only change if we get more albums posted by saturday. A total of 1498 points have been gathered from a whopping 94 albums and 610 points just from our top 10 part. So will it still be female at #1 on saturday or not??????
