After sitting with this all day, I definitely don’t think it’s the disaster that I thought it might be this morning. I feel like the reaction is mixed but not actually as bad as I thought from a lot of the Euro fans. I think it’s all to do with the performance and staging. If they stage it brilliantly, and she actually manages to pull off some charisma and choreo I can see it managing the 13-17 region. If they can’t find a way to make the performance a moment I can see this coming 18-22nd. I don’t see this as being a bottom 3 entry either way, and defo don’t see it being a top 12 sadly.

This reminds me of the kind of level of 'bop' Ireland sent last year that didn't qualify... I am sure will have some fans but will not do well overall.

Yeah I’ve heard from many credible sources it is ‘I Wrote a Song’ by Mae Muller… Listening to the clip on Tik Tok it sounds like Love Island background music. Awful. What a way to not capitalise on the hype of last year and us getting to host. Dropped the ball big time.

The run from Foolery to Bruises might be the most beautiful and exciting 18 minutes of an album I can remember in so long… literal audio perfection.

Maybe it could be some new live acoustic performances of the ‘The Lost Tapes’ material? I want a performance of ‘Beat Is Gone’ to watch so badly.

I love Sugababes 2.0 as much as anyone and will always love Heidi but there is no way this album would be as strong as it is without Siobhan. In many ways, she is the backbone of this record even more so than Keisha and Mutya given she is the only one with writing credits on every single track. So many of the melodies remind me so much of Siobhan’s solo work too. Her ear for a great melody is second to none.

The Beat is Gone is already one of their best album tracks ever in its final mastered version isn’t it? I have to say I’m gutted they have played with the chorus production of Summer of ‘99. The demo versions chorus was just way more anthemic.

Yeah I’m worried for Fleur tonight… I have a feeling Molly’s paso will see her through to the final. Please stay in one more week Fleur :(

After sitting with this for a few days, here is my rate of the album: 07.0 - SOS (nice intro, but I think ‘Blind’ would have a better album opener) 08.5 - Kill Bill 08.0 - Seek & Destroy 08.5 - Low (keep going back to Trap-SZA - love as something different) 09.0 - Love Language 08.5 - Blind 07.5 - Used 09.0 - Snooze (LOVE how smooth this is - real replay value) 07.0 - Notice Me (this is the first meh track for me - could have got cut) 10.0 - Gone Girl (already feels classic!) 08.5 - Smoking On My Ex Pack 10.0 - Ghost In The Machine (gives me mixtape SZA vibes - my favourite off the whole record!) 04.0 - F2F (sorry, CTRL Alt Delete) 10.0 - Nobody Gets Me (let’s make this a #1 smash please people) 06.0 - Conceited 05.0 - Special (the only time in the whole album I question her pen, hate the lyrics) 05.0 - Too Late 09.0 - Far (back on form - not enough people talking about this track!) 08.5 - Shirt 10.0 - Open Arms (absolutely beautiful) 08.0 - I Hate U 10.0 - Good Days 10.0 - Forgiveless (shame this is tagged on the end and not earlier on album) Overall the average score comes out as 8.2/10.0 which I think is about right tbh. Could have done with a bit of an edifying eye on the tracks in the middle for sure but honestly the highs are so high and the fact that we have 16 tracks I’m rating an 8/10 or higher out of 23 track album shows the quality is pretty outstanding. She is so special.

I’ve been holding off commenting yet as CRTL is one of my favourite albums of all time, so I wanted to let it settle in a bit before making a judgement, but bar maybe like 4/5 filler tracks, she has absolutely done it again. She really is one of a kind. This debuts on Spotify with 68 million streams and becomes the 5th biggest female opening of all time, after 3 Taylor Swift albums and Thank U Next with 70 million. Seeing as Beyoncé only managed 43 million earlier this year, that is HUGE. She really is the Female R&B superstar isn’t she? I can’t remember the last time we had a R&B girl having the star quality and hype of the major pop stars, but SZA has done it. It’s utterly amazing.

Why do I have a feeling she’s gonna just surprise drop this Friday? She is on SNL on Saturday, and she’s dropped the cover without a release date (even though we know it’s December release).
