Isn’t it insane that Kylie could end up selling double Ariana’s first week total if she manages 54-55k in the end? We are talking about possibly the biggest female star in the world right now, and an absolute monster of the streaming era, only doing half of a 52 year old that struggles to reach the top 40 singles charts in this day and age. No one would have believed you if someone had said that a few weeks back. Amazing.

We definitely can’t call it yet. LM released streaming bundles today and they have 2 days of streaming data which could add an extra couple of thousand for them. I think Kylie is looking like she should still manage it, but let’s not get too comfortable yet.

Anyone who’s waiting on cassettes or signed stuff - have they been dispatched? Little Mix’s CD and T-shirt bundle is making me slightly worried as they are pulling out stunts too now. I hope that all these new signed versions for Kylie will be in time for the charts.

Kylie, now is the time to release new HMV signed copies to go with your appearance on The One Show! If she doesn’t then I’m sure it’s going to LM

Fun fact: if one of the Kylie songs manages to stay top 40 by Friday, it will be Kylie’s 50th top 40 single (as the lead artist)! Even more reason to try and make it happen!

I feel like there are so many single choices here: Real Groove (definitely feels the most 'on trend' in the way it is very Dua Lipa's album - could have most cross over appeal) Dance Floor Darling (THE album highlight and the fan fav - imagine the music video for the last minute of it, yes please!) Miss A Thing (so sexy and so catchy - would be a great single) Last Chance (the chorus is so undeniable and I honestly think the ABBA sound would go down well on Radio 2 for sure)

I want to see more love for ‘Till You Love Somebody’ - by far my fav deluxe track, so lush

Okay - so here is my first listen review: 09.0 Magic (wasn’t a fan when it came out first but grew so much) 09.5 Miss A Thing (sounds like a single - love the sexy vocals) 09.0 Real Groove (very Break My Heart by Dua Lipa in the chorus - sounds the most “on trend”) 05.0 Monday Blues (hate the production, although it is catchy - seems strange place on tracklist) 09.0 Supernova (why does this remind me of S Club Juniors meets X album? The chorus is undeniable though) 11.0 Say Something (an absolute career highlight) 09.0 Last Chance (2020 version of Voulez-Vouz by ABBA - so catchy) 08.0 I Love It (still good but not a personal fav) 07.5 Where Does The DJ Go? (a bit too cheesy for me - very Steps?) 10.0 Dance Floor Darling (OMG I am floored!!! The last minute is THE album highlight, even over SS) 07.0 Unstoppable (cute but one of the weakest tracks) 07.5 Celebrate (shame these last two tracks see the quality dip a bit - again just cute) Overall I’m so so happy with this album. It’s so fun and joyous. It’s definitely got a lot of cheese in places and it’s Kylie’s version of Disco. Don’t come in expecting a rich ‘What’s Your Pleasure’ type record with lots of layers. Apart from ‘Say Something’ and ‘Dance Floor Darling’, it’s definitely a little surface level, but the joy, camp and heaps of fun she is throwing at you makes that forgivable, at least for me. It’s just the kind of fun we need right now & so Kylie!!

Have a feeling this isn’t even going to be close anymore. Going on the hype for both records I’m going to predict: Little Mix (51k) Kylie Minogue (33k) I hope I am wrong and that Kylie can get higher numbers than I’m expecting.

This is one of her blandest for me. I would lump this with a ‘Boyfriend’ type release where you are just left thinking, has she run out of ideas? It unfortunately just sounds like everything we have already had from her, just slightly less interesting.

I’m surprised by some of the muted reactions on this. Like isn’t it exactly what we were expecting from a Kylie era named Disco??

This is exactly the kind of track I was expecting her to comeback with at the start of the era. Very on the nose catchy disco done very well but still very Kylie. It’s so fun and I do really love it. I do think it’s my least fav out of the 3 we have so far though, even though it’s an 8/10. Say Something is just a career highlight at this point and Magic is outstandingly catchy & continues to grow.

The chorus is fantastic but the verses and the doo doo parts are really irritating. I want to enjoy my relistens but may have to just be a skip the chorus type scenario unfortunately.

Maybe I’m just trying to not get my hopes up, but I’m predicting around a 38k debut for this. I have a bad feeling LM will probs so around 45-50k and take the #1 I just feel like there isn’t quite as much hype this time around but her steady fanbase will still be there, and we can hopefully have it hit 80k+ by Christmas as more casual fans will pick it up later as presents. I hope it exceeds my expectations though.

#1 with 48k debut is my guess.
