This is an absolute nonsense. Her last album sold over 50k first week in the UK and was one of the fastest selling albums of that year. She’s still a very big name.

I think it could be close. Right now it seems like it’s holding up nicely on streaming, and she should get a little boost from vinyl physicals (probs not more than a couple of thousand sales though at most). It depends if she also releases CD physicals next week, as that could even see her reach a new peak in week 2. Although if streaming and vinyls are enough to keep top 10 next week, and CD singles get released in week 3 we could have a three week top 10 on our hands.

As amazing as that would be… no one was expecting that at the start of the week. Even with Little Mix, we would never ever be expecting a #1 debut. The aim was always hopefully a top 10 debut and it seems like the song has legs and isn’t going to be super front loaded, so we are in an amazing position.

Jade staying stable at 17 again today is brilliant!

It’s doing very well on streaming and downloads alone though. Your argument that saving physicals for the second week is ‘artificial’ surely also applies to an artificially high peak first week too if you’re going by that standard. And having a multiple week top 10 as I said will only help with streaming playlisting placements, so that could realistically offset that 3rd week plummet too much. Think Kylie with ‘Padam’ last year. Even having a few weeks low top 10 gave her a few months of very high playlisting on all of the important Spotify playlists etc as it looked like a genuine hit. She didn’t throw physicals out straight away, but did when she needed it.

I think Jade has watched Leigh and Perrie drop to 30s-50s in the second week and is very clever holding back the physicals. Having longevity is actually much more important. Imagine if she can keep a position between 4-7 this week, release the physicals next week and remain another week in the top 10. Then promo, radio play etc can ramp up, as it really looks like a genuine hit. That could increase the Hot Hits Spotify playlisting etc. to a higher position and guarantee much more stability for the next month or so... We need to get over the peaking very high first week and then plummet idea, just so she can outpeak Jesy.

Wow at her Apple Music performance so far… And looking like she will have second biggest Spotify debut after Jesy (although that obvs had Nicki feature and much much earlier than the other girls) This defo shaping up to be the most promising start for Jade compared to the other girls solo careers.

Agree with sentiment - it’s nothing special but MUCH better than Forget About Us for me. I do think she should be singing songs that show off her voice much more than this.

Not the 'Nasty' sound getting removed and deleted from Tik Tok on the same day she is put on 'Hot Hits' and potentially looking like Billboard Hot 100 for first time in 8 years. So scared this is going to slow it down... the whiplash of being a Tinashe fan.

I love her and think she is such a talent... but this not doing it for me. She can be a great songwriter when she wants to be but this is appealing all her worst songwriting habits. Everything is way way too 'on the nose' for me? And the shouting out the 'farmers' 'cleaners' 'chefs' etc. is a cute idea but it could have been a politically charged tweet? It just lacks any form of creative subtlety. Still I am routing for her, but this is a skip.

Agreed. This is a massively disappointing album. It’s okay, but becoming of one of the biggest popstars in the world? It’s just so bland sadly.
