  1. 5 app votes to Kevin already. He's phenomenal, leagues ahead of everyone else.
  2. '7/11' lower than 'Mi Gente' WTF buzzjack. You don't deserve '7/11'.
  3. This is f***ing diabolical and I've really liked her up until now.
  4. 03.0 Army 08.5 Anything Could Happen 07.0 Beating Heart 01.0 Burn 04.5 Explosions 11.0 Figure 8 05.0 First Time (with Kygo) 02.0 Flashlight (with DJ Fresh) 04.0 Goodness Gracious 06.0 Guns And Horses 02.5 How Long Will I Love You 05.0 I Need Your Love (with Calvin Harris) 10.0 Lights -01.0 Love Me Like You Do (trying to stop this horror from winning) 07.5 On My Mind 02.5 Outside (with Calvin Harris) 05.0 Powerful (with Major Lazer) 08.0 Something In The Way You Move 02.0 Starry Eyed 06.5 Still Falling For You 01.0 The Writer 06.0 Under The Sheets 05.0 Wonderman (with Tinie Tempah) 00.0 Your Song Possibly the most pathetic vocal in pop; I just can't enjoy her stuff because her vocals ruin almost every song. The only ones I would actually choose to listen to are 'Figure 8', 'Lights', 'Anything Could Happen' and 'Something In The Way You Move'.
  5. The chorus of 'Getaway Car' reminds me so much of 'Masterpiece' by Jessie J

Bey sounds beautiful and the chorus is definitely the highlight. Really don't think the verses and the chorus mesh well though and the whole thing is a little dry for a lead.
  7. I am so shocked at the positive critic reviews so far. Honestly was sure this was going to get a panning. The Guardian even putting "superb songcraft" in the title of their review?? Alternative facts galore.

I think she will end up doing somewhere around 65-70k.
  9. First listen rate: 01.5 ...Ready For It? (still think the verses are one of the most tragic things I have heard this year) 05.0 End Game (Future is actually the highlight on this - these kind of lyrics are exactly what I was hoping the album wouldn't be full of) 00.0 I Did Something Bad (what a f***ing mess, the production is awful and the lyrics again are tragic and show she just doesn't get it) 06.0 Don't Blame Me 08.0 Delicate (the first song to be at all likable, the chorus really is incredibly melodic and actually rather lovely) 03.0 Look At What You Made Me Do (still absolute shite) 05.0 So It Goes... 08.0 Gorgeous (I was hoping for more songs similar to this on here but the standard has been much worse so far) 07.0 Getaway Car 06.0 King Of My Heart (why is the production on this album so jarring and why does she insist on pretend rapping over potentially good songs - so much wasted potential) 06.0 Dancing With Our Hands Tied (again I was enjoying until that trashy production on the chorus, ffs) 05.0 Dress -01.0 This Why We Can't Have Nice Things (possibly one of the worst songs of the year? on what planet was she on when she thought this was good) 06.5 Call It What You Want (trying to be this album's 'Wildest Moments' but it is lacking a chorus and ends up feeling pleasant but flat) 04.0 New Year's Day NOPE. '1989' must have been a fluke because this is even worse than I was expecting. I was expecting it to be bad lyrically but was at least expecting some strong choruses and undeniably high production value and I got neither. I'll keep 'Gorgeous', 'Delicate', 'Getaway Car' and at a push 'Call It What You Want' but even that is kinda disposable. What a massive comedown from '1989' where I genuinely enjoyed every song.
  10. About to give this my first listen. Kind of tentative as I haven't been impressed with the material so far this era and I am finding her more and more insufferable. '1989' was a fantastic pop album though and I am willing myself to like this. Let's see how this goes.

I predict somewhere in the 35-40k region.

So glad this doesn't include 'Shockandawe' as it just wasn't that strong. Loving 'Told You So' and still adore 'Sky Walker' so I am defo hyped for this.

  14. 'Doo Wop' & 'Lost Ones' by Lauryn for Rai Elle. She just gets it doesn't she  Also 'Hollow' by Tori and 'Scars To Your Beautiful' are rather inspired choices too.
  15. this is FIRE more of this please Tinashe

  17. I'm not loving this album as much as I should in full. I think it's because I love her so much and I think she could have made one of the best records of the year and yet it's held down from being so with the inclusion of some dull dross like 'Sam' and 'Hearts' which are just way too nicey nicey Ed Sheeran for me. Jessie has always been pretty Radio 2, but when she first came out with 'Devotion' the material was still so boundary pushing and edgy enough to keep her feeling so cool too. I can't help but feel she's going a tad too much in just the Radio 2 direction and the end product is an album which feels like her most safe to date? I have to say though, despite feeling like a few dull tracks let it down, the standard of the highs are outstanding and there are some tracks on here that are amongst her best ever. 'Thinking About You', 'First Time' and 'Finish What We Started' are incredible and will be on repeat for a long while. I'm still also so obsessed with 'Midnight' and 'Selfish Love' too. Maybe it's because I was expecting such high quality as they are so 10/10 and then I got an 7.5/8 on a good day album.

  19. 'Right Thru Me' is wonderful and is in my top 5 Nicki songs, it is just so good. 'The Night Is Still Young' should not be anywhere near that high. It's her worst 'pop' song for me, even all the 'Roman Reloaded' pop album tracks are strong than it. Nicki at her most basic.

#51 is not bad really all things considered. I'm just so happy I have this album in my life finally as its everything I've been needing
  21. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b096yq2k#play New song about her husband called 'Sam' premiered on Radio 2. Can here it at 1:44:00. Really doesn't interest me in the way the other stuff has so far :(

tWPDww10aic I know this is 15 minutes long but it is so worth a watch as it really puts the album in context and makes me love the record so much more. Seeing her being so frank and open throughout and get emotional when talking about 'Enough' and 'Bluff' really got to me. She really wears her heart on her sleeve and she just feels so human. I don't know, she is just so real and I love her.
  24. Everything about this post. 'Blacker The Berry' is one of my absolute favourite singles of his (along with 'King Kunta') and so should not be going. I was also the other person who voted 'Loyalty'. I love it but compared to some of the other tracks on DAMN. it's not as strong and wouldn't have received single treatment if the collab wasn't so high name. Both have way better in their discography.
  25. Don't Hold Your Breath is so gonna beat all of the iconic PCD anthems isn't it :(? It's good but no way in hell is it better than the PCD material.
