It is definitely not a stupid question. It is a very valid one in fact. That is why they decided that the only way to be safe is to have one country in the world where they were not a minority. Throughout history, whenever Jewish people were the minority they were persecuted, murdered violently or made refugees. It is such a complex history of thousand of years of persecution. This does not mean I am condoning Israeli settlement policy. This does not mean I support Netanyahu's right wing government. But you have to understand where it comes from and that is the basic need to survive against all odds throughout history. Now yet again we have almost 50% of the world's whole Jewish population being attacked from all angles. Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan all are raising their heads to say that Israel should not exist. Jews have seen this before, and that is why sadly they have had to surround themselves with such massive military might. Hamas do the Palestinian people no good either. They have in their 1988 charter: "The Day of Judgment will not come about until Moslems fight Jews and kill them. Then, the Jews will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will cry out: 'O Moslem, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him." This is what they believe... people on the left want to shout about how this is nothing to do with 'religious hatred' but for Hamas, it is. In black in white in their own words, they believe they have to kill Jewish people in the name of Allah. It is such a shame that people are supporting them and the Palestinians chose a terrorist group who's hate for Jews actively puts Palestinians at danger of even worse living conditions and even more horrible bombing by Israel. But you cannot negotiate with a terrorist organisation who just want the second holocaust.
  2. #26 in todays midweeks - up from #33 on Monday. Signed copies definitely helping… maybe this can manage a top 40 place afterall? I’m predicting a top 50/60 is more likely though.

Mae’s album up to #26 is a surprise. More signed copies added than we thought maybe? I reckon it will still end up outside the top 40, but hopefully she can get a top 50 placing..
  4. Hmmm I think she should have strike whilst the iron is hot but this is still rising and about to go #1? I would have held off another 4-6 weeks at least to make sure it doesn’t get lost.
  5. Kenya and Tate would be a great official top 2!

Maybe she has been informed of her mistake as she has taken down the Insta live now that she said that in after posting it to her main page previously

Maybe she was told Sundays midweek position instead of Mondays? I would probably have expected her to drop that much in a day after the first day orders had been counted…
  8. If these are the sales so far, I reckon she will end the week at between 1,700 to 1,800. Streaming won’t add basically anything as it’s so low and I feel like most of the rest of the sales this week will come from the signed copies about to get sent out tomorrow. If she does that kind of number it would have reached somewhere between #75 - #90 on last weeks album chart. That is what I’m expecting now.
  9. To be fair... that is what I expected. James Blake debuted at #30 in the Monday midweeks last week though and he charted outside the top 100 so I think this could easily happen for Mae.
  10. It needs around 6,800 to go Silver this week doesn't it? I am hoping that when streaming data is added, it should hopefully just manage it? I am hoping it can at least manage 7k end of week total which should be enough to keep her top 5/6?
  11. The first day Spotify streams are tragic. All the new songs were streamed around 5,000-9,000 times. ‘Nervous’ managed 72,000 due to being on NMF but the rest has really tragic numbers. I feel for her.
  12. I’m actually really pleasantly surprised by this album though. The worst songs are definitely the singles… why they chose ‘Me, Myself & I’, ‘MTJL’ and ‘Written By A Woman’ as the post-Eurovision songs, I will never know. It basically made me write this album off as the material was so weak. ‘Nervous’, ‘Something New’, ‘Little Bit Sad’ and ‘Miss America’ are really lovely and well-produced 80s leaning pop songs. I would have had no clue there were songs of this quality on this album if I hadn’t decided to look past the singles. The two former ones would have been GREAT follow ups to IWAS.
  13. Hmmmm I am not convinced. The album market is dead and her promo on socials have been getting no traction. He has hidden her likes now but her Banquet Record signing one got barely a few hundred likes most of the day before the likes were hidden. I’m predicting 1.5-2k end of week max. I can see this entering at somewhere between #80-#100 on the album chart.
  14. If I had to use 7/7 I would do the following: 1. Padam Padam 2. Supernova 3. Say Something 4. Things We Do For Love 5. Tension 6. Real Groove 7. Hold On To Now 8. Dancefloor Darling 9. Miss A Thing 10. Story 11. Magic (Bonus Track) 12. You Still Get Me High (Bonus Track) 13. Kiss Of Life (Bonus Track) 14. Vegas High (Bonus Track)
  15. Can this swap with ‘Paint The Town Red’. This may be one of Doja’s best songs… I would love for it to blow up.
  16. My faves after Week 1: 1. Cara Melle 2. Kate Butch 3. Michael Marouli 4. Ginger Johnson 5. Tomara Thomas 6. Vicki Vivacious 7. Banksie 8. Alexis St Pete 9. Naomi Carter 10. Dede Licious Loved them all really down to Alexis. Naomi I think could grow on me but seems a little green and Dede was a little too try hard for me. But LOVE 8/10 which is strong as hell. 8.
  17. Such a shame there is no hype this time around because I think that was a FANTASTIC opening episode. The cast completely shone… maybe actually having 10 queens instead of 12 allowed everyone’s personalities to shine but I felt like we got to know everyone which was lovely. Cara Melle is an obvious superstar. It’s brilliant to see some older seasoned queens like Ginger, Michael and Vicki too. On top of that Tomara and Kate Butch were serving so much personality. I honestly think going in with lower expectations made for a fantastic surprise as I think the casting is actually the strongest it’s been in a few seasons… bring it on.
  18. Troye’s new song came on my autoplay on Spotify twice yesterday despite only listening to this new one once before I think. I wonder if that is happening to others too.
  19. I am predicting 51,000 and obviously a #1. Also people predicting around 3k for Mae Muller... I can honestly see around 1-1.5k only and probably barely cracking the top 100.
  20. Release Radar is new music from your most streamed artists, so it is specifically tailored for your music tastes. Therefore being 1st on Release Radar won't be seen by anyone else expect you!
  21. Honestly I have been having such a moment with it today. The last 60 seconds or so may be one of my favourite parts of the album. Just a rush of emotion and perfect pop middle 8/outro.
  22. I’m predicting it being close to ‘Disco’ opening sales now. I’m thinking it will do 56,000 compared to the 54,000 ‘Disco’ opened with.
  23. Not to be rude, but can we stop the underwhelmed comments please? To say a one day figure of over 31,000 is disappointing is really misunderstanding the album market at the moment. It’s a higher opening figure than Olivia started with last week and she has three songs in the UK top 10 and she’s one of the biggest stars in the world. It’s already sold more in todays 24-hour update than Beyoncé’s full first week sales for her album last year. Since ‘Disco’ the album market has really probably collapsed about 30% of sales I would say… and on top of that she’s already outselling the rest of the top 10 combined. Of course this is brilliant news, but it also means that there will be no chart battle this time to incentivise the fans even more. The fact that streaming is up 30% on Spotify is great, and we know from the positions that Kylie’s biggest streaming numbers are coming from Apple Music. I would guess that would at least be up 50% from Disco, which will help with extra data for sales by the end of the week. I still expect this will manage a slightly higher opening sales than ‘Disco’, but even if it falls short, Kylie on her 16th album is still opening with at least 50k and outperforming 99% of the the music industry 35 years in her career. Let’s just celebrate that. Underwhelming to who exactly?
  24. If this is for Disco CD: 27,498 Vinyl: 13,510 Downloads: 6,368 Cassettes: 4,503 Streaming: 3,040 I’m guessing for Tension: CD: 25,000 Vinyl: 19,000 Downloads: 7,000 Cassettes: 4,000 Streaming: 6,000 Total: 65,000
  25. So Kylie is streaming on Apple Music than Doja?? That’s incredible.
