Blink Twice needs to move up, shame how it keeps happening with people like Shaboozey and Dasha not being able to get that second major hit, these are not one hit wonders in the old sense but sadly in chart terms they feel that way. Also don’t get why so many 2025 songs are struggling to catch on in the same way as 2024s which have hung around forever!

Got both Sam and Tate's vinyls arriving today so got two horses in the race! Held off listening to them until then (other than the singles obviously).

Love every song on that list, but thank god for ACR, at least the chart has some freshness every now and again!

Not accepting any Gracie hate, hopefully Apt and Messy both get their turn at number 1, but I don't get why she is taking Buzzjack's ire! Everybody has their faves but it seems to get so personal on here!

For anyone interested these are the playlists - 2000s 2010s 2020s The noughties is currently complete to June 2004, there is naturally a lot missing as many were rare releases and not on streaming but they are as complete as I can get them!

Recently I have been creating a playlist for all the songs which made the top 100 but missed the top 40 during the noughties (I have similar completed ones for the 2010s and 2020s so far that I keep updated). Looking down the lower end of the chart during the early noughties up to about 2005, there are a lot of very strange dance remixes, EPs, things like "City Sounds" etc. There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason from what could chart - does anybody know what the criteria would have been for songs/EPs to chart back then? Can't imagine many people will have heard a lot of the obscure entries, and there were a lot of albums passing as EPs. There also appeared to be a load of double-A sides but by two different artists which is also confusing! It seemed to die down by about 2006 and songs below the top 40 were a lot more like what we would be familiar with now (fifth singles from albums, up and coming artists etc.).

Quite a few new singles out, but very little that you can realistically see challenging the status quo and shifting the early 2024 tracks that are still hanging around! Need a massive shakeup from somewhere, even though I like a lot of the songs we need a big clear out!

Hope Rose/Bruno and Lola both get their turn at number 1, but adore Gracie's song and would be content with it getting 8 or 9 weeks

It's like 2017 all over again! The year of Despacito, Reggaeton Lento, Mi Gente and Subeme La Radio! Loved that era :)
