It's sad if its true. I don't believe the "not suited to Radio 1 and Capital" rubbish that people spout. There's been plenty of similar sounding songs that are massive hits; see OneRepublic's two big hits from the last era. Besides, I agree with Ryan that the release strategy was the problem, not the airplay. If they kept the 28th June release date, it would've continued building up pre-orders and airplay. But they released it just when it started to finally make some progress.

Tbf she does have two top 10 hits to her name, both with poor airplay as well.

25. Selena Gomez feat. A$AP Rocky - Good For You I hope this gets top 10 but it's climbing a bit slower than I expected. But two Selena Gomez songs in the top 30 - who would've thought it?

I'm surprised they've gone OA/OS in the UK after all her other releases are held back about 2-3 months! :o Already at #45! Hopefully this will be a decent hit for Selena in the UK.

I'm not sure why Alesha decided to exclude her song. Her last three singles missed the top 40 anyway, so she can hardly been branded a flop only now.
