  1. Not Sweden actually voting for the best song, I'm shooketh!
  2. Cornelia was by far the best tonight and Oscar desperately needs a co-host.
  3. Anybody else have zero excitement for this? Melodifestivalen used to be such an event.
  4. Both 'Ay Mama' and 'Terra' are very strong and would've been risky entries for Eurovision, which, especially for the Big 5, it's better to be risky than play it safe (UK 2021, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016...). But you cannot deny Chanel gave the best live performance of the night and is ultimately what won it for her. 'SloMo' is generic, yes, but unlike for example 'Say Yay!' in 2016, we know Chanel is going to deliver a brilliant live performance on the night. It's not going to win, but depending on how saturated the female bop category will be this year, I can see it landing a low top 10, top 15, which is a step in the right direction for Spain and hopefully leads on to a continuation of Benidorm Fest, which was a fantastic national selection and can build on Spain's results a bit like France did at the end of the last decade.
  5. Great 01 / Spain: 'SloMo' by Chanel 02 / Albania: 'Sekret' by Ronela Hajati 03 / Czech Republic: 'Lights Off' by We Are Domi Moldova gonna Moldova 04 / Moldova: 'Trenuleţul' by Zdob şi Zdub & Fraţii Advahov Bad 05 / Bulgaria: 'Intention' by Intelligent Music Project
  6. LAUD was disqualified because his entry was released in 2018. He's been replaced by Barleben performing 'Hear My Words'. Of the songs released so far, both of these would be very serviceable for a Ukrainian entry: qrLZb3fGRv0 H3NAbcEQHOQ But this clip of Kalush Orchestra's entry sounds very promising. SrKbNHqBapg
  7. Next weekend's Benidorm Fest in Spain marks the start of 7 weeks of national finals and entry reveals, Eurovision season is well and truly here!

  10. Ooh Vasha is very Vidbir, loving that! Although I am still waiting out on being rescued by our lord and saviour Lolita Zero getting her revenge for 2017!
  11. I really hope she delivers a great live performance because, of the 4 released so far, there's no contest in who should win. But this is Ireland and much like the UK's 'attempts' at national selections, you just know Brendan or Janet would win because Linda Martin would be there talking about how it reminds her of Ireland's golden years, despite those rusting years being THIRTY YEARS AGO now.
  12. The phrase 'quality over quantity' seems to have flew over the heads of those in the serene republic then.
  13. The first two entries for Ireland's rebooted national selection had their radio premiere this morning, including one from their 2017 entrant Brendan Murray. kIzAcT0p6V0 v8OtoSbUgP4
  14. Ireland 2022 That's Rich Brooke QFizedo48SI
  15. 'Hurricane' is fantastic, I've seen a lot of people on Twitter comparing it to KEiiNO playing Måneskin, which I totally see.

  19. 00.0 Girls 07.5 You On A Good Day 08.5 No Can Do 06.5 Hanging On A Star 10.0 Side Chick 10.0 Unbreakable Heart 09.0 Sunday Rain 09.0 Every Heart Broken 10.0 Beware 06.5 Nothing's As Good As You 08.0 Sound Of Goodbye 11.0 Can We Call A Truce 3.0's best work, although 'Girls' really did mark their downfall and I find it almost unlistenable, nothing else screams lead single, which was lacking for this album compared to the run from Overload - About You Now. I suppose 'Every Heart Broken' could've been a lead moment, but the production on the studio version is still such a let down compared to the live version they were doing in the lead up to the album's release. 'Can We Call A Truce' is such a swansong moment, all 3 deliver some of their best vocals on it. The ballads really shine on this album, so it's a shame that we only got 2 uptempo singles from it.
  20. I'm amazed Bengtzing's been given a slot even with Björkman jumping ship. I'm most excited for Faith Kakembo from that crop, 'Crying Rivers' was done so dirty last year.
  21. All of tonight's entries are going to be in Estonian, the first for an Estonian NF since 1998.
  22. I've been totally floored by the brilliance of this album. It's been a long wait since 'Veritas' but my, was it worth it! In reality it is only 4 new tracks, but the interludes really add to the overall listening experience, that I don't care about that. It's an all killer, no filler affair, which I can't remember the last time I felt that about an album. Please don't wait nearly another decade for the follow up Agnes!
  23. Yet another national selection kicking off pre-2022! from eurovoix.com
