  1. hahah joke of the week :) Merry Christmas!
  2. Interesting. Didn't know about this. It'll need another 2 or 3 years to catch up with the 18-weeker number one Frankie. I wonder if rule changes are imminent again though after this year...
  3. If only you meant the amazing Xscape song from 1996 of the same name...

Take it with the amount of salt in the Atlantic Ocean. He got 280,000 streams on Spotify yesterday and is number 18 on there, then this statement would be correct!

I'd expect another year, if not two, to break the Beatles' record

You used to see them as physical sales in days gone by, now they are barely ever seen...

    Yeah definitely number one already

It was always gonna be like this week. It'll just be interesting to see if Mariah and Wham! go back above her as the week goes on as Ladbaby just has to release anything and it goes to number one... It's a sad indictment of where our charts have gone in the last few years. However, nevermind, the last few weeks have (partially) put right the ridiculous injustice over the last few years...

A, L, E, X, A and a fix. But it might fall as the week goes on...
  11. hahaha Well he was only allowed to cash this year's bumper cheque from Amazon if Jess Glynne could be installed at number one a la Riviere l'annee prochaine. Given that that cheque's now been cancelled, the tidy sum he'll get for moving over the channel will tide him over until next Christmas...
  12. Hahaha my thoughts entirely. But on the other hand, below-par, British female "vocalists" have a new European market to aim for via Le Amazon et les streams dubious :)

Completely. Also, why aren't the Amazon numbers in the public domain like the other sources e.g. Spotify, iTunes etc. Well, that's a rhetorical question, we all know why...

Hahahaha Dua Lipa too. Here's a difficult question...Which one is the most irrelevant? :)

Maybe just people think she's rubbish. That is the most likely thing. Also that she is a complete artistic non-entity. Could be that too...wow the more it's discussed the more could bes there are...and that's before we get on to Alexa...

They said at the beginning that there were 4 non-movers though and we've only had two, so the top 3 can be worked out... Alexa was obviously a bit hungover yesterday after drowning her sorrows with it only being number 13 on Friday...

hahahaha well looking at its incredible re-entry position this week, this river has well and truly dried up...
  23. This is great. Thank you! I've wondered about this for a few years now.
  24. Hahahahahahahahaha they wouldn't have bothered anyway but downright good for you :-) :-)
  25. Deja vu a la 50 weeks ago tonight. Silence about the 4-5m missing video streams last year. Don't hold your breath on that one. It won't come. Give them time though, they are seething tonight after having to release that quote about Mariah being number one. They see it as a death in the family. Now they've only got Wham! and the Pogues to fill up their recycled Christmas singles never reaching number one articles. If only they could both make it too, then Martin Talbot and co would self-implode.
